Hotel Rössli

I stayed here last year on a work trip to Switzerland. I actually had meetings in St. Gallen, but there was no hotel availability, so I stayed in Zuerich instead. This turned out very well because I could do some sightseeing in the city as well.
This hotel still had availability when I booked online just two weeks before I wanted to check in, and it was rated pretty highly on trip adviser. I chose it primarily for the location– directly in the heart of the old town of Zuerich. I was so happy I chose it when I arrived! It’s a bit of a hike from the train station (its much easier to take a tram if you have luggage), but it is tucked away on a small alley directly off the main street. You can walk less than 2 minutes from the front door and you are next to the river.
The front desk staff was not overly friendly, but they were not rude. The hotel itself is pretty narrow, so there’s not much of a lobby, and the breakfast room is actually on the second floor. The breakfast is amazing– the best continental breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel, and I stayed in a château in the Loire Valley the previous week. The quality of the bread was great, the coffee was good, with steamed milk available, and there was a large variety of sausage, cheeses, and spreads. I would stay here again just for the breakfast!
I stayed in a double room, which was surprisingly large. It was not particularly fancy (tiled floor, sparsely decorated), but it the bed was comfortable and it was very clean. Note that the buildings in this area are very close together, so if you have your window open, you will hear people in the next building or on the street. I’m not sensitive to noise, but if you are a very light sleeper, you will definitely want to bring ear plugs.
Hotel Roessli is not inexpensive, but considering it is in Zuerich, it is a good value. Everything is expensive in Switzerland!

Zimmer sind sehr schmackvoll eingerichtet und das personal sehr freundlcih

Die Lage ist zentral nur 10 Minuten von Hauptbahnhof. Die Zimmer sind klein aber geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ein schönes Hotel wenn man ein, zwei Tage geschäftlich dort ist.

Nach langem Suchen (aufgrund der Züricher Hotelpreise ;-) dann doch noch das Rössli gefunden. Es war in jedem Falle eine tolle Visitenkarte für unseren ersten Besuch in Zürich.
Ausstattung modern, Zimmer sauber, superfreundlicher Service, reichliches Frühstücksbüffet zu einem sehr moderaten Preis, kostenfreies High Speed WLAN. Lage ideal, da man alles im Zentrum in wenigen Minuten zu Fuss erreichen kann. Reichlich Gastronomie findet sich quasi um die Ecke, die hauseigene Rössli-​Bar haben wir (noch) nicht getestet. Offensichtich sind die Inhaber sehr engagiert, der Online-​Kundenfragebogen war schneller im Postfach als wir zu Hause.
Insgesamt finde ich meine Eindrücke in den anderen Einträgen voll bestätigt.

Auch ich bin hier seit Jahren immer wieder gerne wenn ich beruflich in Zürich bin.
Traumhaft zentrale Lage. Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Immer freundliche Rezeption, schöné Zimmer. Kostenloses W-​Lan. Bisher war ich immer sehr zufrieden und werde sicher beim nächsten Zürich Aufenthalt wieder dort übernachten.

Ein süßes, kleines Hotel in dem ich seit Jahr und Tag übernachte.

Die Lage ist perfekt: 5 Minuten zu Fuß vom Zürich-​See, 10 Minuten von der Bahnhofstraße, 15 Minuten zu Fuß vom Hauptbahnhof (Straßenbahn direkt um die Ecke (hört man trotzdem nicht)).
Am Rande des Niederdorfes findet man in unmittelbarer Nähe alles, was man an Gastronomie braucht.
