For the area at lunch time, the prices were decent for sushi. However, around $ 15 for ramen gave me a distinct«I could make that at home» reaction. I tried the tuna sashimi and salmon sushi. They were a bit fishy, hence not as fresh as I’d like, and pretty mediocre overall. The service here was pretty bad. I had to wait 45 minutes, some of that after I notified the staff of the unseasonable delay just for sushi. I also just went up and got my own soy dish instead of waiting for one, which didn’t come with my overdue sushi. As you can imagine, the poor service and average food aren’t making me too keen on visiting in the future.

Had lunch treat from boss and he suggested Jap lunch here. I ordered the Tom yam Ramen and it was a pleasant surprise as the spices were pretty authentic. The lemongrass was pounded to release a good flavour and the Chilli was spicy enough to do the term ‘Tom yam’ justice. I enjoyed the soup base totally and would return with another Tom Yam fan in tow.

I think Sushi Tei is both cheaper and better, although I suppose this place has the advantage of no line.

Not many japanese restaurants around this area making it a natural destination for sushi lovers. I ordered the Chasu Ramen set — excellent presentation and absolutely delicious. I saw someone on the adjacent table order a Tempura Set — have to admit it looked much much better. Perhaps next time around.

This is the only Japanese restaurant in Fusionopolis and we’re very lucky to have it. They serve very well-presented dishes, we’ve been surprised a few times. On a few occasions when I was trying to act healthy, I ordered their salad. Anything with avocado or salmon is good. Their salads are fresh and crunchy, and also come with a bit of fish roe on top — so pretty. I love their cold soba. My favourite order is the tempura cold soba set. It comes with miso soup and a portion of fruits — usually watermelon and orange. The cold soba is of the perfect consistency, and the accompanying sauce is great for dipping and slurping. The sauce is clean and refreshing, it doesn’t stay in your mouth like some soy sauce, it leaves your mouth with a delightful tinge. Other items like the tempura rice set(generous WOW serving of tempura) and cheesy omu rice were great too. Ramen was so-so though. And yes they serve iced water. Faith in restaurants restored.
