La Tagliatella is a chain restaurant that is sort of like The Olive Garden of Spain, so expectations should be tempered somewhat. That being said, this can be a good place to eat. The restaurants are large, with many servers, and good for group dining. The best things on the menu, in my opinion, are the carpaccios and breads on the appetizer list. The salads, calzones, and some of the pastas are quite good. Portion sizes are gigantic; unless you’re sharing with friends or have a gargantuan appetite, you’ll likely be taking home leftovers. That being said, some of the pastas tend to be served somewhat dry and under-sauced. They have a large selection of pizzas, and while the toppings are good and the crust has a nice char on the bottom, their crust is so thin that it basically crumbles into dust. While it’s not a top of the line dining experience, La Tagliatella is just fine for a large casual meal, and it’s a decent place to go for a big bowl of pasta with friends.
