I had the mapudoufo, it was almost tasteless and pretty bland. The sweet and sour pork ribs was ok it at least tasted something. Not to be recommended.

We ordered a menu with soup, main course and dessert. The soup was good. I ordered beef in XO sauce. It looked really bad, and it tasted worse. Like rubber bands which had first been boiled and then fried. I guess XO sauce just means ‘unknown’ origin. Flan for dessert was ok, not made in the restaurant I guess.

My parents’ worst decision. Ever. On a family trip, we were sightseeing a little too much that many eateriers were closing. So, one of the Pakistanis on the main road«recommended» to us this place. It was between here and a better-ranked Turkish joint I brought up, but because of democracy ‘n stuff it was a 2 – 1 vote for Dim Sum. I opted for Canton grub while da ‘rents ironically ended up ordering paellas. Misery enjoys comfort, and we all tried to push for another vote: who got the worst dish. Everything had the same vacuum of flavor! Add on to that messy tables and obnoxious staff, I to this day still don’t regret the McD’s I got later on…

There comes a time in any trip when you need a break from the national cuisine — no matter how fantastic it is, the human body can only handle so much repetition before vital processes begin to shut down. The solution is always Chinese food. From Ireland to Nigeria to Bulgaria, you can always find a Chinese restaurant. And it’s a helluva lot of fun to see how the standard dishes vary from country to country. Spicy dishes turn spiceless and lemony in Ireland, you’ll find a lot of kung pao goat in Nigeria, and in Bulgaria, well… you get whatever they give you and you like it. In Barcelona, the standard dishes were modified with local sausages and served more tapas-style, with several courses on small plates. Nice place, good prices, and an enjoyable break.

They are not open for breakfast or typical dim sum times. They are open for lunch and have some menu deals. Staff is nice and attentive. Food is pretty good and tastes like typical Chinese food. I like the décor which was very simple and cute. We ended up getting the meal deal which included an appetizer, main course, dessert and a beverage(try the local red wine — it was very good and complimented the meal perfectly, it reminded me of a Pinot noir and worked with my mostly seafood meal). Only in Barcelona can you have flan at the Chinese restaurant. This was a great deal which equated to under 30 € for two. The location is perfect if you’re staying in the Plaza de Calalunya but I wouldn’t go out of my way for this restaurant. Food is good, price is right and location is great if you’re staying in the area.
