My father & I spent my birthday weekend here. It is a nice hotel with modern decorations. We received great customer service and very much enjoyed our stay. I recommend checking out the lovely spa & also they have a balcony where you can have coffee that over looks the ocean and town, beautiful view. The breakfast is delicious as well. I give four stars instead of five only because the touch screen for the lights and air in the room has a few glitches. All in all good stay.

My best friend and I booked this hotel based on the fact that it was literally across the street from the Forum. We were attending the Primevera 2014 music festival. Although my best friend and I studied some Spanish we wanted to make sure that we chose a hotel that had some staff that spoke English so that we had some help with festival issues. Check in was a breeze with no problem. The layout of the room was a bit weird. Modern yet awkward at the same time. My personal desk to work on my ‘zine was facing the bathroom that has no privacy, therefore, you can see the other person doing their business which is weird. Two of the walls are made of glass so you can see the person in the bathroom whatever they’re doing. The bed is in front of the open space desk. I am all for open concept rooms but not when you’re sharing a room and some sections of the room really shouldn’t be facing in certain directions. The light system is weird in which you have to put a key in by the door just to operate the lights. The lights themselves only work half the time and you pretty much have to punch the light switch to get it to work which causes more disturbance than it is worth. They don’t give you individual shampoo or conditioner bottles but they do give you a toothbrush, tooth paste, comb and a razor. As for the shampoo it’s in a large dispenser in the shower. This only worked a few times we were staying. For 15 euros per person the buffet was actually an extremely impressive spread with nuts, cheeses, pastry, eggs and bacon. I stayed away from the bacon as they were soft friend rather than crispy. I am very paranoid by meat in which I can see any sort of pinkness through. Wifi is free. There is a really nice business center on the 15th floor and a roof top on the 17th which is perfect for getting some work done and relaxing.

OK Business hotel. Far away form the central area of Barcelona but very close to the metro stop — 10 – 15 minutes to Bari Gotic /La Rambla. I stayed here on business and would not chose to stay here on my own, but for my business trip it was fine. One highlight(for me) was easy access to the running/bike path that runs down Ave. Diagonal just over 2KM one way it was a very nice, and safe place to go running just outside the front door of the hotel.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. During my one week stay I was woken up every night between 5 or 6 am, because they switch off electricity in the room between 2 and 5−6am and when it’s back all the lights in the room turn on, no matter if you switched them off before going to sleep… Very annoying. Also a lot of things in the room don’t work, like soap dispenser, the tap in the bathroom leaks, the shower makes an awful noise when turned on… All in all I don’t recommend this place
