Plaza Larga

this is a popular area in the old city of albaicin, in the hills of granada, however, you wouldn’t know about it unless you went with a tour group b/​c this isn’t something that you would just randomly stumble upon. we actually saw a segway tour group heading here and followed them on foot and discovered this historical area surrounded by parts of the old city wall. here, you will find many restaurants that cater to locals, fresh produce stands, and small shoppes selling clothing and souvenirs. we were happy to stumble upon a place that was frequented mainly by locals since it allowed us to experience a day in the life of a granadian in the old city. if you have the time during your visit to granada, i recommend stopping by plaza larga and enjoying a meal here.
