Experimental Beach Ibiza ECC Beach

Vraiment fan du lieu et de l’atmosphère générale ! S’aurait été trop facile de tomber dans le piège «Nikki Beach» avec une musique commerciale à fond les ballons et des feux de bengale sur le moindre cupcake, mais non ! L’Experimental, c’est une plage plutôt relax, avec une musique de qualité qui né vous empêche pas de parler. Cette ambiance attire un public plutôt sympa.
La signature de la maison, ce sont les cocktails puisque cet endroit est une spin-​off saisonnière de «l’experimental cocktail club» parisien, qui fait couler beaucoup d’encre dans la capitale française. Signature peut-​être mais ce n’est pas un sans fautes non plus. Nous avons fait renvoyer 3 cocktails (à base de thé), trop peu fournis en alcool, et qui donnaient vraiment l’impression d’avoir été coupé à l’eau…Ils sont revenus tels quels «on a vérifié, et ils correspondent bien à la recette initiale». Ok, chouette de défendre son pain jusqu’au bout, mais c’est juste… pas bon :)
Le cadre et la gentillesse du personnel rattrapent le coup… et le couché de soleil, pfffff.

Having spent at least 2 vacations every year for the past 20 years going to Ibiza, it is always a pleasure to discover a hidden gem. This was the case a few years ago for Cap D’es Falco /​Experimental Beach. Hidden in a nature reserve, you have to navigate the salt planes of Ses Salinas. Don’t be deterred, it will be worth your effort. The cool owners (from Paris) have restyled it since about 3 years and given it a second breath. The Location is breath taking. You are surrounded by nothing but nature, wavy hills, beach (watch out you have to brave rocks to get to the water), a beautiful sea and one of the most gorgeous sunsets on Ibiza.
The food is delicious (try the Sea bass in salt crust) combined with a generous amount of Rose wine. A many bottles of 6 l have passed our way there. It is ideal to sunbath too while enjoying one of their numerous cocktails. I do recommend visiting this place only from end of April till mid May and again in September, if you really want a relaxing spot, as with all the other cool places, it will be packed and you will have to reserve in advance. If you are so lucky to be able to visit it during the calmer periods, you will have a magical day !!
PS. Don’t be shy to just give your IPhone or IPod to the DJ and ask him to play your tunes. We once had the whole place to ourselves on a Saturday evening in May for a bachelorette party and danced until we dropped and this all with our own music. It is ideal for weddings too. PS. I organized a wedding there and it was the BEST !! So quite simply… go forth and enjoy Experimental Beach next time you are in Ibiza !!!

Fazit: Immer wieder toll! Immer wieder einen Besuch wert! Ein einzigartiges Flair, toller Blick mit Sonnenuntergang, die beste Musik zum Essen und solide Küche zu sehr teuren Preisen in hippem Ambiente.
Auch wenn das ehemalige Cap de Falco viel von seinem Reiz verloren hat seit es so populär bzw. «mainstream» wurde, gehe ich immernoch zumindest einmal pro Ibiza Reise hier hin zum Essen. Denn auch wenn man ca. 35 – 40 Euro pro Hauptspeise und unverschämt hohe Aufschläge auf die Weine zahlt, ist es einfach ein toller Ort.
Der Service ist nett und man fühlt sich einfach wohl und will garnicht mehr weg. Ich hatte diesmal einen ganzen Loup de Mer für 2 mit meiner Begleitung für 70 Euro. Beilagen gehen extra. Der Wein «Dido» für 55 pro Flasche kostet 20 im Einkauf und ist eine besondere Cuvee. Lecker!
Tip: Schon Mittags kommen und ein Sunbed nehmen und den ganzen Tag hier chillen. Im Restaurant dann zu Lunch oder Dinner einkehren.

A wonderful spot wth great food and a breathtaking view! A very relaxed atmosphere. We will be back on our next trip for sure! It’s also a great place to wait for your flight, from there, you can see your plane arriving!
