We had an incredible meal here — props to mi primo Jose for taking us here! The place is very popular so of course all the outside seating was taken, but we found a table inside for our small group of 4. Then we just attacked the menu. I’m talking Ensaladilla, Croquetas, More Croquetas, Tostada w/Caramelized Onions and Goat Cheese and Balsamic Reduction, Albondigas, & Gambas al Ajillo. Everything. Was. On. Point. The second plate of Croquetas were filled with Pistachios(among other things) which were surprisingly amazing. We just ordered them to try them out, and I’m glad we did. Highly recommended! The place itself is new-ish and super hip. I’m already planning on returning the next time I visit fam in the area. Five stars easy.

I’ve only been in Jerez a few days, but I am already a repeat customer. Some of the menu items are Spanish, others are fusion. During off-hours, the atmosphere was more lively than any of the surrounding restaurants and Tapas bars. Prices are cheaper than indicated on Unilocal. First time: Entrée(tenderloin) + Tapa(seafood pastry) + Wine = ~€ 16 2nd time: Lg Tapa(medium portion of deer, potatoes, veggies, almost an entrée) + Tapa(ahi) + 3 drinks = ~€ 25

Good food and great atmosphere ! Get the Solomillo! It’s perfection. The tuna Tatar is good but they add too much, tuna is fine by itself. The gambas aljillo is better in other places but it’s good if you have never had it before. My family lives here so I know it can be tastier. The bread they serve with everything is delicious. I would chose this place over Cruze Blanka if you had to pick one. Aprovecho!

Great food but the worst service ever. First of all I should explain all the waiters have earrphones and type in the orders on special devices. I like this system even though it feels cold except they constantly confused orders were running around in panic. I got through 2 courses before I got my water and wine. They dropped off the wrong size food(we didn’t know as we did order that dish but they gave us the bigger size vs the one for our table). Instead of charging us what we originally ordered they charged us for what they dropped off not what we ordered. We had 3 – 4 waiters running around dropping off food in confusion and just it was a mess. Too bad the food that did make it to our table was some of the best we had on our trip. Their system really needs a review unfortunately.

Our meal at Albores was completely unexpected, and I mean this in the best possible way! This was probably the last place I could have imagined eating at during my visit to Jerez, mainly because I have this ridiculously romanticized idea of what Spain is supposed to be like both food wise and culturally. That being said my boyfriends cousin decided to show us the spot and it did not disappoint. The décor is very modern, clean, and light but the food was some of the best I had during my trip. We ordered a handful of tapas to share, and a couple of larger portions: + Tuna Ensaladilla — Tasty, and of course delicious with the little picos + Chicken Croquetas — some of the better croquetas we had while in Spain! + Pistachio Croquetas — These were excellent and a big surprise as pistachios are not a common filling for croquetas. + Caramelized onion toasts with semi soft goat cheese — One of my favorite items of the night. Basically me + cheese in any capacity is pretty much a win. Definitely get these if you’re any kind of fan of cheese + Albondigas — Realllly, reallly, tasty meatballs. + Gambas al ajillo — These were really good too, though I wished they served larger shrimp instead of the small ones. Overall an excellent meal in Jerez! It does get very busy so be sure to go early enough to get your name on a list if you’re looking for a bite. Keep it in mind if you’re doing a tour at the bodega nearby and looking for something to eat afterwards.

A contemporary taste of Spain. One of the best restaurants I’ve visited while travelling around. We especially loved the goats cheese bruschetta. I was hoping to try the monk fish but it was sadly off the menu by the time we arrived. Went for the Ox sirloin instead and it was excellent. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Delicious, modern Spanish food. They have a great wine list. And, we received impeccable service. This was lunch and we say on the very comfortable plaza seating. The Salmorejo(Spanish bread soup) was the best I’ve had. And, the Sherry braised ox was absolutely delicious. I did not care for their version of grilled cuttlefish. All variety of squids are difficult to cook properly. And, this version fell victim to the overly chewy side. What a pleasant way to spend an afternoon here in Jerez. Eat, drink Sherry wine and be feliz! I’d definitely return.
