47 is located in the foodie paradise known as Cava Baja. This is the rare modern bar-​lounge in a sea of traditional establishments.
Cava is extremely popular with locals for tapas, bars and Iberico ham. Nearly every spot was jam packed except for 47. Pretty from the outside, we were puzzled about how empty it was by comparison.
The music was awesome (80s New Wave, modern indie) and the custom drinks were pumped with so much alcohol, I was nervous about being so close to the candles on the table.
Never figured out why this bar didn’t make the locals’ cut, but for ample seating, exceptional bathrooms, great music and stiff drinks, it doesn’t really matter.
