El lugar es un poco incomodo, no es amplio buscamos por internet para reservar y solo había un horario y para dos personas tuvimos q llamar para llevarla a 4 que éramos nosotros y cuando llegamos aquello vacío, por ese lado fue la suerte porque no me imagino eso lleno tan chiquito, y en cuanto al menú en general muy poca comida para los precios y la calidad no es la mejor, por ejemplo los tamales para casi 7 euros eran muy finos y pequeños me quedé con deseos, lo único bueno fue el casco de guayaba con queso, el personal si es muy amable, les sugiero q con un buen análisis costo; precio y ganancia pueden mejorar la calidad y cantidad.

I went here just tonight, and let me tell you… I’m from the second Cuba — Miami. Even some of those «authentic» restaurants aren’t as savory! If you’re looking for something different, a decent value, and GOOD — then take a walk down the small alley and check this place out. The food is really good. I had the masas de puerco, and they weren’t dry or overdone like they often times are. The meat was moist and tender, yet still had its characteristic crunch on the outside. Perfection! The yuca was cooked well and had the perfect amount of garlic. Sabroso! I also ordered tostones, which were good too.

un local donde te puedes tomar unos mojitos en la barra, para hacer hambre mientras escuchas algo de música.
Mi plato predilecto es la ropa vieja con arroz y banana frita, un verdadero manjar de reyes ;)
Pretendo ir el día de cumpleaños para celebrarlo con la familia como dios manda. Ya os contare que les parece a la familia

Bueno, pues sí… Normalito
Fui con mi madre un día de las vacaciones de Navidad a ver si nos gustaba y podíamos dejar de ir a La Negra Tomasa siempre que nos apetecía cubano y la respuesta es: no.
La chavalita que nos atendió es muy simpática pero el sitio algo incómodo; no recomiendo ir con grupos grandes.
Tienen un menú diario fuera en una pizarrita que por supuesto no te ofrecen al sentarte para que pidas algo de la carta. Se les había acabado justo el plato que quería, bueno, pues me pido un menú, que me apetecen tamales mogollón. Espera un momento, es eso ketchup con mi tamal? Por qué? Espero que el cerdo asado lo arregle… Vaya, pues no.
Los tostones de plátano, correctos. La ropa-vieja algo insípida, parecía más un guiso corriente y moliente que lo que esperaría de gastronomía cubana. Postres? Sí por favor! Dulce de coco y… uuuuuhhhhh sí que es dulce sí, agua por favor! Probamos el otro que viene con queso??? uhhhh más agua, por favor!
Teniendo la Negra Tomasa tan cerca, no creo que vuelva… Como mucho a probar los mojitos, que dicen que están muy bien de precio y demás.
La verdad es que me decepcionó un poco.

This place is a little hidden from the myriad of other restaurants by the plaza. This is great! Because eating on the main walkway isn’t relaxing, people walking up and down, smoking their cigarettes while you eat, as they pass by. At this restaurant you actually do get some peace and quiet to enjoy your meal. We chose to sit outside. The wait staff is very friendly, and they do speak English, not a lot but enough to communicate. They do stand outside while you’re eating but we didn’t feel like we were being watched or hurried. The courses came out in a good pace (in Spain, the waitstaff will wait until you are all done with each course before they clear the table and bring you the next course; if you are ready for the next course and you won’t be finishing the previous one, please let them know, otherwise you might be waiting forever… This is at every restaurant). Our starter were Tostones & Malanga Fritters both very delicious. Oh and they bring out a bread basket along with your drinks. Use the great olive oil to wet it a little and enjoy. For our main course we had the vegetarian plate. White rice, black beans and salad. Everything was yummy. A little on the salty side but not crazy salty. In Spain we have learned people like their food salty. For dessert we had the guayana w/cream cheese and the coconut w/cream cheese. The coconut was way tastier than the guayana. And all for 9,50 € a super deal! If we were going to be longer in Spain we would definitely return to this restaurant.
Go try then out, you won’t regret it.

Camarma de Esteruelas, Spain

We found this place off the beaten path near Callao. The place we were going for Rachel’s birthday was closed because it was Monday (not uncommon in Spain). The service was maybe «overly attentive». The waitress stood over us while we looked at the menu, while we waited, and while we ate. Thankfully she did not speak English so we could still have a conversation but it was a bit awkward. Then, when we were clearly finished, it took a bit for the bill to come to us.
The food was certainly worth the price. I had the lamb stew which was super tender. My wife had the shrimp. We were satisfied with the food and enjoyed the tostones (fried plantains).
With thousands of restaurants to choose from in the center, I’m not sure I’d seek it out again.

Aquí encontraras comida casera cubana sin pretensiones, donde destacan ademas de sus mojitos y daikiris como bebida oficial (Sobre todo los fines de semana, cuando el local se anima con actuaciones de música en directo), en lo respectivo a la comida los tostones de yuca frita.
E incluso si os apetece podéis probar un buen chilindron de chivo, que seguro que no os defraudará
El local es alegre y muy ruidoso, yo sobre todo he ido los fines de semana, así que no se si sera mas tranquilo entre semana.

Muy buenos mojitos, mucho. Muy sabroso daiquiris, cócteles en general, mucha mano. La comida cubana, es muy rica para comer pocas veces, al parecer (yo Cuba no lo he practicado) comer bien y variado allí en el país es caro, y la comida que hay en este lugar es la misma que la de diario allí. Mucho hidrato de carbono. Pero muy bueno para de vez en cuando.
Música en vivo, genial.
