Very convenient located at a main avenue in central Madrid. Very close to Real Palacio and walking distance to shopping areas such as mercado de San Miguel(tapas stalls) and plaza Mayor. It’s also close to shopping chain El Corte Ingles for your basic items, water(1.5eu for 6×1.5L) and food court on the 7th floor(great 2.3eu tapas). But unfortunately back to my review of TRYP Menfis, breakfast was average so was the room w 3 twin beds but like most restaurants in Madrid, they will try to nickle and dime you for little things like charge .90 for a roll of bread and not even provide butter or dipping evoo/bv. It’s been just average stay until time to check out. Our flight to Malaga is at 6pm so we wanted a small extension of maybe 1 – 2 hrs from the usual 12 noon check out but they instead wanted to charge 10 eu for this. The hotel was not full based on only 4 tables on avg occupied out of 25 – 30 tables during breakfast, we stayed for 4 nights. As I type this killing time at the lobby instead of the comfort of our room, Im sorry to say that I don’t think I could recommend this hotel and merit a 4 star rating.
