No es mi VIPS favorito, todo hay que decirlo. Uno de los mayores problemas de esta cadena es que normalmente tienen mucha afluencia de público, pero este en concreto se lleva la palma. A pesar de que es realmente grande las largas colas son normales, pero si además de la cola, una vez sentado en más de 20 minutos no han venido ni a preguntarte qué quieres… pues el acabose. Por lo demás, igual que el resto de la cadena, una vez probada la comida en alguno de ellos, es como si la hubieras probado en todos.

VIPS is what I like to think of as the «Chilis» of Madrid — college students and friends enjoying beers, burgers and fries, ribs and nachos. Our first night in Madrid we were looking for a place to eat close to our hotel (Hotel Emperador on Gran Via) and found VIPS down the street. The outdoor section was already full at 10pm so we wandered past the market to the upstairs seating area and were promptly seated. Our waitress didn’t know any English but with my limited Spanish and a lot of pointing and gesturing we were able to order our food. I had the Jamon and York bocadillo (ham and cheese sandwich) with patatas fritas (fries) and my boyfriend ordered the VIPS club sandwich. Both were good — nothing AMAZING, but not horrible either. The prices were very economical — our dinner was the cheapest we had throughout the entire trip! Only 18 Euro for the two of us!
