The best tapas we had in Spain! The baby octopus was amazing and a generous portion, the spicy shrimp were flavorful, the fish sandwich delicious, and the tinto de verano was light and refreshing. The server was helpful in explaining what each dish was, and his recommendations were great. Wish we could eat here all the time.

This is what you’re looking for: spot on traditional tapas and tavern experience. No English here but we bellied up to the bar and managed to get our man to just serve us what he likes. Absolutely perfect. Then stroll around astounding downtown Malaga glad you didn’t get sucked into some super subpar tourist trap. o

Al estar tan bien situado (en la Plaza de la Merced), esta bodega clásica está bien para empezar bien la noche. Eso sí, es muy de guiri por lo que los precios están algo subidos pero bueno, unas cañas (o unos vinos de la tierra) con unos pinchitos o un pulpo entran de muerte y te dan ánims para el resto de la noche

not sure if this is the right Pepe tapas but if it is it’s Great Place. The one I want to review in at the bottom of the piazza where the statute of Picasso is. We enjoyed it a lot. Very vibrant and local although tourist friendly.
