Truly as good as it gets. Small, local, Italian restaurant within walking distance of Marriot. Menu in Italian, Spanish, German and English. Staff spoke Enhlish with varying degrees of proficiency. Full Italian menu with incredible selection of Italian wines for a very fair price.
I had Veal Marsala, as tender as I’ve ever had, with a sweet, lovely Marsalla sauce, accompanied by a ratatouille, carrots and scalloped potatoes, oozing sing with sharp cheese. Mary had a steak, cooked as requested, Medio hecho, Jorge had Veal Parm which, though good, was like no other I’ve had… pounded veal, breaded and covered by shredded, melted Parmesean cheese. No red gravy. Different but tasty.
Large selection of deserts. We chose a warm, pudding like concoction which most of us liked. I forget the name but will try to add it later. My Café American was strong but good. Next time I’d request my leche. «Frio» since it took forever to get it cool enough to drink.
In the rain we chose to drive. It’s a round about annoyance to get to the other side of the highway by car but we parked on the south side of the expressway and walked over the pedestrian bridge in the blustery, torrential, lightning enhanced storm, coming out right at the front door.
