Badulaque

Nefasta la experiencia en esta cafetería-​pub-​restaurante, con muy buena ubicación eso sí, y buenísimas vistas de la playa de la Costilla, lo cual le hace tener dos estrellas.
Partamos de la base de que un local que tiene un horario de 12 a 00 hrs, al trabajador que frecuenta dicho local, le hace estar abierto a que entre un cliente a cualquier hora dentro de esa franja; además de que la hostelería te hace estar de cara al público, y si tu cara es de «no veas como me jode que acabéis de entrar por la puerta…»; pues querido, no montes un bar o no pongas ese horario.
Llegamos sobre las seis de la tarde para tomar un café y un dulce. Las tazas y las cucharillas no estaban limpias, el café había rebosado la taza y el plato tenia un pequeño charco de café. Detalles… Además, al servirnos un trozo de tarta (la cual estaba muy sabrosa, dicho sea de paso) no cayó en traernos un par de servilletas para limpiarnos. Tuvimos que tirar de pañuelos desechables…
Por otro lado, cada vez que le pedíamos algo, el camarero resoplaba como si en vez de que me trajera un par de vasos de agua (para aliviar el calor del café) le hubiera mandado a descargar un camión de vigas!
Al pagar la cuenta, les dejé una foto mía, porque por allí no me van a volver a ver…

I would be very generous if I rate them 4 stars because I think they have potential. However, I think a 3 ½ star is more fair. The bottle of sweet red wine cost 22 or 33 and I liked it. Kinda pricy but oh well.
The fish with grilled King shrimps and white hollandaise sauce was alright. There were some bones in there. The shrimp heads were under cooked. I think grilled salmon would taste better with the white sauce.
Fried king prawn appetizer (9,00) was a miss. The sauce on it tasted too salty, strong and not good. And they were cut in half so it was more like mini prawns.
Shrimp ceviche was good because of the lemon juice and vegetables.

nice atmosphere, creative food, the only thing i didn’t like is they charged me in dollars and it was a 2% upcharge on the bill for it, after I asked the waitress why she charged me in dollars instead of euro, and she told me there was no difference, when I checked my visa it was more! Watch your bill!

Muy buen restaurante. La comida, las vistas a la playa, buenísima bodega (incluso buenos vinos por copas), la musica, el servicio, aunque cuando está muy lleno se nota. Buenos precios.
Recomiendo el lomo alto argentino y la carne de retinto.

Delicious. This classy looking place also has a great view right on the water. I went there with a friend who’d been here many times. I went out on a limb and got a fish I’d never head of. The hollandaise sauce was really good. I loved my meal. The bar selection looked great. There were plenty of top shelf liquors. The also had several types of beer and not just Cruzcampo.

THe location of this place is what makes it. The food is good too. Popular with the Americans and english speaking as well as the locals. I have been here several times now and each time has been good.

Bar de tapas con un puntito de cocina creativa y una ubicación inmejorable: frente a la Playa de la Costilla, con unos inmensos ventanales y unas vistas preciosas.
Tiene tapas, medias raciones y platos muy interesantes, como el solomillo strogonoff, las croquetas, el cous-​cous o el tataki de atún. La verdad es que todo lo que he probado por aquí estaba bueno, aunque quizás sea un lugar para ir mejor a cenar que a almorzar, ya que los platos no tienen un tamaño demasiado grande.
Muy buena opción para algo de tapeo con buenas vistas, y sobre todo si se quiere probar algunas cosas distintas.

The view from this restaurant is amazing. Located near the heart of the city, the restaurant overlooks the beach and its beauty. Definitely a place to enjoy a beer or coffee. The food looked pretty and was prepared nicely, but tasted average. We tried the ox burger which was tasty but noticed a giant hair like item on top of the bun. Kind of grossed us out. The wellingtons, bucaria, calamari were all delish. If it weren’t for the hair I’d probably go back.

I just love local places. Good food. Fun atmosphere. Worth the visit if ou are in the area.

De los mejores restaurantes de la ciudad con unos platos y unos vinos increíbles. Lo mejor sus vistas. Esta situado justo al final de la plaza, haciendo esquina con la preciosa playa de la costilla. Con un amplio salón, y con grandes cristaleras las vistas son sin más su plato más fuerte.
