One of the joys of being on holidays is stopping for wine and bites beside the sea, watching the world passing by. There are a few lovely spots along San Sebastian beach to stop and eat. We chose El Maror as we wanted tapas. It was quiet enough when we stopped by — around four o clock. It did fill up a bit while we sat there but the service was always on it. There was a male waiter on the terrace– a friendly chap– and a woman inside who came out to help as required. We ended up having a couple bottles of local rose wine along with bravas, calamari, pan con tomate and greek salad. It was all delicious, all the more so as we were relaxing in the sunshine. Its a busy place due to its location and a great spot for people-watching. I would be happy to stop here again in the evening or during the day.
