I was with a friend from Sant Pere de Ribes. She is pretty picky about her tapas and terraces. After inspecting all of the available places on the square, she chose this one. Excellent choice, as always. (Maybe next time I will be able to read enough Catalan to participate in the inspection.) We stuck to tapas and beer. All of the tapas were divine! The prices were good, and the location was great. I will definitely return to Tarragona, and Kunan, in 2016!

A small bar with outside seating on the Plaça del Forum, shaded by a short but impressive section of Roman wall.
They sell the usual range of Spanish snacks and drinks, and we were especially impressed by their generously filled sandwiches, providing excellent value at around 3EUR (and rather cheaper than those available in venues nearer the cathedral). Add in efficient and friendly service, and this represents a very recommendable venue.
Plus, if you are in Tarragona, eating next to a bit of Roman history is what it’s all about.
