El Trébol

Pedimos la seleccion de tapas (euros 14,50). No son las tapas que usted se está imaginando. Viene una cazuelita de carne estofada, una cazuelita con 4 fetas de carne y un huevo polle, una cazuelita con atún y salsa, un poquito de paté con 2 tostadas y 3 fetas de queso. Sabemos que estamos en un punto turístico pero estos Sres tendrian que esmerarse y hacer honor a la cocina española. No lo reomendamos. Los mozos tienen buena onda pero están desorganizados.

La comida muy buena salimos muy contentos después de probar la parrillada de carne y las patatas bravas, los camareros muy atentos y sonrientes, comimos en la terraza ya que en el interior del restaurant no cabía un alfiler valió la pena pasar un poquito de frío ya que la comida despistó al frío

Un sitio muy rico para comer algo de comida típica cuando vas a Toledo de visita. Fuimos recomendados por una amiga que vive allí y que es bastante especialita para la comida pero la verdad es que estuvo genial.
Tomamos unas migas la checas, unas patatas bravas y un tostón de ibérico y todo genial!
Mucha mejor opción que la de cualquiera de los tópicos lugares que encuentras en todos sitios (estoy harta de ver Café&Té allá donde voy).
Eso sí, hay que saber cómo llegar porque está un poco escondido!

Visita rápido en tomar una caña e irnos a comer.
La caña a 1,50 € y cerveza Domus 3 € con una tapa y tranquilo.
En el sitio conservan la pared y silos.

Si visitaís Toledo, no os podeís ir sin probar sus Bombas de patata con carne picada, ni sus croquetas de boletus, están de vicio.
El local es pequeño, pero muy acogedor, siempre hay muy buen ambiente.
Seguro que repetireís.

No puedo hablar de las tapas porque nosotros fuimos buscando un sitio tranquilo para un café de media tarde en un Toledo que los domingos después de comer cierra a cal y canto y deja más bien pocas ofertas disponibles. El personal no parece estar muy contento de trabajar a esas horas, aunque lo veo normal con el calor y la escasa afluencia de público que no sé yo si compensa mantener abierto un local de estas dimensiones; sin embargo, fueron diligentes en traernos nuestro café (que es de aparente buena calidad) y nuestra limonada (que estaba más que decente).
Además tienen una terraza en una calle cortada en la que no da apenas el sol y tiene el tráfico lejos, la verdad es que se estaba muy bien allí leyendo y tomando algo como si fuésemos ricos.

Awful service. Sat for way too long (over 60 min) and never got to order food so we left. Waiter wouldn’t even give us a second glance after he brought us some water. Refused to bring us menus until 8 then decided to ignore us the entire time.

I found service to be a little standoffish, but we ate lunch here twice anyway during our brief stay in Toledo because the food was (a) good and (b) inexpensive.
I believe that the drinks (we had tinto de verano) came with free tapas, which is a nice touch and something we rarely experienced outside of Andalucia.
If you sit inside at one of the tables near the bar, just be aware that you will be expected to get up and order at the bar. The food will then be delivered to your table.
There are other sections downstairs and upstairs. Not sure what the deal is downstairs, but I presume it’s regular waiter service. We tried sitting upstairs, but never saw a waiter and the section up there was empty, so I presume it’s only open for dinner. (We were there for lunch.) There is also a terrace section outside, where I believe prices are slightly higher.
But prices in general were quite reasonable here. We found that about four tapas filled us up nicely and many of the tapas were in the 2 – 5 Euro range.
One of the signature dishes here that we tried and that I would highly recommend is the Bomba. This is a ball of mashed potatoes with a bit of ground beef in the middle. The whole ball is deep-​fried (healthy!) and then split open and doused with a combination of tomato salsa and a creamy sauce. Delicious!
I think one of the other tapas we tried (~5 Euro?) was a pork stew. Also fantastic and a relatively hefty portion for tapas.
I’d venture to say that this is the top tapas bar in Toledo. We didn’t try any others during our stay, but having eaten at various tapas bar across Andalucia and Madrid, I’d say that the tapas here are definitely above average in terms of their creativity, presentation and taste. Plus, when we asked our hotel clerk to recommend the best place for lunch in the Jewish quarter, he actually suggested we go here for lunch (despite the fact that this is nowhere near the Jewish quarter). And he didn’t know we’d already been to Trebol the day before (based on its #7 ranking on TripAdvisor). We were willing to try someplace different, but his recommendation seemed like a sign that we should go back to El Trebol and it was just as good on the second day as it had been on the first.
