We stayed in room 311 on a cool night in April. The Parador is gorgeous. We loved our private balcony with table and chairs, overlooking the pool and the beautiful city of Toledo below. Parking is easy and free. There’s a big lot. Our room was gorgeous. Huge and spacious with a tiled floor and a four-poster bed. Like many European hotel rooms, you need to insert your key card into a slot to provide electricity. For whatever reason, this stopped working in the middle of the night. The next morning, we had no electricity to most outlets. Zero light in the bathroom. I suppose we could have asked the front desk, but they were pretty surly upon check-in and we were leaving after the one night anyway. Electricity issue aside, I loved our room. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, and there was only one pillow per person, but the size of the room was a total surprise. Had the weather been nicer, I might have spent the whole day just writing on the balcony. You cannot beat the view here. Side note: There was a safe in our room, but I couldn’t figure out how to use it. It didn’t have a keypad. It had a thing to read a credit card or something. But my credit card wouldn’t lock it. Our room card didn’t activate it. Total head-scratcher. One small issue is that our room was at the end of several corridors that had random 3-step staircases. That’s fine if you’re able-bodied, but it was a pain every time I had to hoist our suitcases up and down a pointless set of stairs. One significant downside to the parador is that you need a car to get into Toledo. You could take a taxi or take your life into your hands by trying to weave the incredibly narrow streets(not recommended). Google maps said it was something like a 48-minute walk to get into the city, so take that into consideration.

Our first day and night in Spain will be so memorable because of our stay here. Wonderful staff. Beautiful rooms. And a great restaurant with delicious food.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing view of the old town. The restaurant is «odd» to say the least. Patrons eat in total silence(some background music would make a world of difference) and the lighting is very cold, which makes a restaurant with an amazing view feel very cold. Still, was worth the 10 € cab ride from the old town for the view. The food: the starter risotto was very flavorful but it was 3x the size of an average American starter. Starters are supposed to leave you looking forward to your next course and not leave you worrying that you have filled up on your appetizer. The rest of the meal(which we had in awkward silence) was average at best. Do come here for a drink on the terrace… have dinner elsewhere.

Beautiful building, beautiful view, nice room — but unfortunately there’s a «but» negating the place. We chose to stay here for the view — the view of Toledo truly makes the place. We made reservations 3 months before arriving. They didn’t give us a good view of Toledo, nice, but not something one would expect after making reservations so far in advance. Another crapper is, though the hotel does reserve a place on the patio for it’s guests, it’s a restricted view; shouldn’t a guest get the best of the views? The guest is paying for the view of Toledo. So, over all it’s a nice place, just don’t expect too much.

Breathtaking panoramic view just like my house :) Service at the bar was great. They have a lot selection of wines and beers with great prices. My cerveza y limon only costs 2.30 euro!

Our last meal in Spain was at the restaurant in this hotel. The food was delicious! The staff was very attentive and efficient. Go for the view on the terrace for coffee, dessert and or wine if the price is out of budget. I’m not sure about the price as it was included in our tour. You won’t be sorry!

The service was excellent and the staff went out of their way to attend to our needs(allergies are a problem for one of our group). The food was exquisitely prepared. Thank you!!!

Stayed at parador for 2 nights. There is no better view of the city. Earlier reviewer is correct about visiting the outdoor patio café. It was reasonably priced, especially considering the view. Best photography light is early morning through mid day. You can get a good bottle of tinto for 16 or 18 euros. Sunset was nice too. Rooms have little balconies with same view and are spacious. Dinner in restaurant was very good. Oxtail stew was the best I’ve had. Veal fillet was perfectly cooked. Octopus appetizer prepared well but a little too much salt on top. Smoked paprika was right amount.

If you’re visiting Toledo, I highly recommend stopping by this hotel’s café. The view from the café’s balcony is spectacular, so grab a café con leche or freshly squeezed orange juice, relax, and enjoy the view. As the hotel is located up on top of the mountains surrounding Toledo, you’ll be able to take some great pics of the entire city. Plus the hotel itself is pretty sweet. You’ll have to take a bus up to the hotel, which will cost you about 1.80 Euros roundtrip. The bus stop is located at the Plaza de Zocodover, which is also a nice area to shop and eat.
