Had pure hot chocolate and a nut hot chocolate with cream. Plus we had a piece of a raspberry cake. You can definitely taste that it’s all very high percentage chocolates that they are serving, especially if you are not having a milk version it tends to be a bit sour So if you are used to very sweet hot chocolates I would recommend the milk version otherwise you might be a bit put off with its taste. It’s a pleasant place with high quality products but not overly aimed at tourists which is always a plus in the centre of Prague.

Hot chocolate in Prague? This is your spot… close to the square at Old Town, and AWESOME! Can even order different types of chocolate to eat, or different type of alcoholic chocolate!!!

The hot chocolate here is so rich mmm. I had the pear and nut hot chocolate, a delicious combo! My favorite part was the whipped cream though, a fresh and cold complement to the warm chocolate. It was a light cloud of fluffiness that made me want to jump onto a pile of it and sink into the soft silkiness

All things chocolatey good were found here — wondrous and divine hot chocolate was sipped and assorted chocolate bars(especially sea salt & dark chocolate) were consumed!

The best hot chocolate in the whole world! Choco café is a delightful place to rest in middle of a busy city day. With lovely comfortable seating indoors and a small outdoor courtyard area(with canopies so you can sit out even in the rain) this is an absolute gem slightly off the beaten track. I was surprised that this little place wasn’t mobbed given the high quality food and hot chocolate! You can order from an almost overwhelming array of flavoured hot chocolates from chilli to fruit flavours. My preference is the cacao with milk. I have genuinely never tasted anything this magnificent before or since. I visited here several times in one trip to Prague and was never disappointed with the fantastic service and peaceful atmosphere. You can also buy the shop’s signature chocolate in bar form with at least 20 different flavours available. There is also an whacking range of cakes and gateaux which I never got round to trying– fixated by the hot choc as I was! I love the spinach and ricotta quiche and the salad of tomatoes, lettuce and red onion with balsamic vinegar. An absolute must visit for anyone in Prague.

Chocolate maniaaaaa. The hot chocolate was delicious, but also very thick. I wasn’t quite used to that texture and thickness. It felt very heaving and filling. The night was cold so the hot chocolate really hit the spot. Unfortunately we couldn’t stay any longer because they were closing up shop and we just squeaked in, otherwise I would have loved to have tried some of their sweets. Maybe next time!

Love this place so much that we came here everyday while on vacation. The horice rolls are perfectly flaky with a light and crunchy cinnamon and sugar sprinkle in between each layer. Fresh whip cream inside the rolls and a side of dark chocolate to dip. All the textures and flavor come together to make the perfect chocolate dessert. Some other delicious things on the menu: bruschetta(tuna and tomato were our favorites), quiche(bacon), hot juices(pear cinnamon, apricot mint), and hot chocolate. The bars of chocolate are of very high quality. They come in dark and milk varieties and in all sorts of fruit flavors. We are bringing these back as souvineers and gifts. And of course compared to American standards, you can eat for cheap. We had a feast for under $ 20. Nom nom nom…

Perfect for a chocoholic. I went with a friend for an indulgent chocolate breakfast and was not disappointed. I had a hot chocolate with fruit, which was absolutely delicious. Friendly staff, warm comfortable environment and reasonably priced.

The hot chocolate is more like hot fudge! You have to eat it with a spoon. I got macaroons that were delicious and my boyfriend got lime cake which was amazing. Good service and you get great quality food for a reasonable price!

So good… They’ve got like 50(or more?) different types of hot chocolate. And the place is super cozy! Be sure to make a reservation though… The New York Times wrote about this place and ever since then it’s been packed 24⁄7. If you don’t book a place, you don’t get the chocolate!

We decided to leave Prague with a sweet taste in our mouths, and it was sweet indeed — Choco café, that was two steps away from where we stayed was doing a really good job! My endless crave for a good macaron finally settled as the sign«boutique of macarons» popped out from the window This gem is just heaven for the people with a sweet tooth. A million options of dark, thick and good hot chocolate that was absolutely tasty(and this comes from a person whose not a big fan of hot chocolate) Amazing macarons and a crazy variety of chocolates. I had a hot apple cider with spices, and my boyfriend took hot chocolate with cream and a chocolate muffin. As a starter I took raspberry macaron and then took 2 more — mango and forest berries, they were both absolutely delicious! If I’ll ever be in Prague again, then I’m coming back for sure And if you happen to get there– this place is a must if you like sweets! Great service, great atmosphere, great prices and a lot to choose from.

The atmosphere was very cozy. I ordered the pure hot chocolate and mascarpone cake. The cake was good, not too decadent, which paired perfectly with the sweet hot chocolate. I wish I had ordered the hot chocolate with fruit! Maybe next time!

OMG, this place is awesome. So many chocolate options! I had some hot chocolate. It was really good. The ambiance was lovely and they do serve normal food as well. The service was pretty good. And, for an American tourist, as usual for CZ, it wasn’t expensive at all. Anyone who love chocolate must visit one of these Choco Cafes.

This is a review from 2011. So you know this place is good if I still think about the sipping chocolate here 2 years later! This place is AMAZING! Came here on day 2 of my stay in Prague and promptly returned 2 more times in the next 2 days. IT’S THATGOOD! I had the sipping chocolate with raspberries, plain and with whip cream. It was heaven in my mouth each and every time.

Stopped in at this interesting spot after discovering it is only a block from our apartment in Prague. After all, any place that specializes in hot chocolate deserves at least a visit, right!?! It turned out they do much more than just hot chocolate, with desserts and pastries, but most items have a firm base on good chocolate. My wife & I ordered a couple types of bruschetta, and split them. Four or 5 types of quiche are also offered, so you are not limited to only sweet things. There is a good selection of wines and Czech beers, and some basic appetizers, such as salted nuts, olives, cheeses, etc. After reading one Unilocal review, we decided to split a pastry known as Hořické trubičky, or Horice rolls. Light, papery thin sugar pastry rolls are filled with a slightly sweetened whipped cream and served with a small shot-glass of rich, dark chocolate to dunk the rolls in. The barely sweet cream nicely offsets the very rich chocolate. Able to linger over desserts & coffee with no feeling of being rushed or hurried. We have several more days in Prague, and I plan on making at least one more visit to check out more chocolate offerings. Very good!

Best hot chocolate in Prague. A lot of variations, love the chilli hot chocolate and the ones with fresh fruit in it. since the chocolate is that good the place is really busy so you might have to wait for a spot

After trekking all day around Prague, we had to have my friend’s favorite dessert, Hořické trubičky. One order gets you two feather light rolls filled with slightly sweet cream and a side of dipping chocolate. These rolled wafers will slightly absorb your bite then you’ll crunch through into the light, fantastic cream. I can’t get over the cream. I’m used to sugar sweet things, but this tasted real. Sugar did not mask the flavor.
