Hybernia is a rather popular restaurant both among locals as well as tourists. Even though the place is quite spacious and can host numerous guests, it is very often full so I recommend to reserve a table. The atmosphere is lively and the personnel is friendly. Their portions are rather big so you do not need to be afraid that you would leave the place hungry. I can recommend this place for gatherings with friends. It is not that great for romantic dinners.

New Orleans, LA
One thing my New Orleanian wife taught me was to never order new orleans food in another city, state or country. Besides, chicken wings are not a thing in Louisiana.. so say no to the louisiana chicken wings.
Other than that, the beer is fresh and great and the food is amazing and cheap.
Service is a bit slow but on vacation is acceptable.
Metered beer at the table, in the smoking section only, is a nice touch.
Food not to miss: cracklins and the skewers.

All I have to say is if you want a lot of food you should order the pork knuckle. First, it’s in beer which gives it incredible flavor. Second, it’s a big portion. Third, it tastes great. The pork skewer is also a meat lovers fantasy with pork, bacon and beer sausage. What’s not to love?

Wir waren vom Ambiente des Lokals sehr angetan und man konnte sich zw. Raucherbereich und Essensbereich für Nicht-​Raucher entscheiden. Es gibt aber auch eine Winterterrase :). Böhmische Küche ist wirklich lecker… jedoch hatten wir Pech bei unserem Gericht: Ente wurde mit Sauerkraut serviert, da Blaukraut nicht mehr vorhanden war… und das wurde nicht einmal mitgeteilt — sondern auf gut Glück serviert. Tschechisches Bier war aus der Karte war auch nicht mehr vorhanden. Anschließende Überraschung …die Rechnung stimmte auch nicht — tschechisches Bier wurde einfach dazu gerechnet. Aus Prinzip haben wir nachgefragt… da alles irgendwie komisch lief… No Risk No Fun… Ente war knusprig… gross …aber nicht viel dran. Dann lieber GATE …15 min. von der City entfernt…

In the evenings, this place is terribly crowded, and the reservation is almost mandatory. It’s also so noisy that you have to raise your voice even if you talk to people at your own table. The service is very slow and the waiters can be inattentive; although, I partially understand that it can easily be explained by the large number of visitors. The air inside is quite stuffy, and if you choose to sit in the smoking part, it’s even worse. I must admit that the menu selection is interesting (mainly consists of typical Czech dishes), and the quality of food is really good, but the atmosphere around and time it takes to order make it not possible to fully enjoy the dinner.

For such pretty presentation I’m grossly underwhelmed with the flavor. I hope the chef was just having an off night but I think he never heard of salt. The schnitzel was way over fried and therefore incredibly greasy and under seasoned. The crackling had zero flavor, just fat. The mushroom crackling was actually very good (partial reason for 2 stars and not 1). I didn’t try the lemonade, but it looked very fresh and my kids enjoyed it. Also I didn’t try the gnocchi (halushky) by my child gobbled it up. With that said it had ham and not the traditional bacon. I was hoping to find a new restaurant to frequent, but sadly this is not the one.

Absolut empfehlenswertes Restaurant für Leute die gerne mit der böhmischen Küche in Kontakt kommen wollen.
Das Essen war qualitativ und quantitativ ausgezeichnet und das zu einem guten Preis-​Leistungs-​Verhältnis.

Günstiges Lokal mit ganz gutem Essen. Böhmische Küche, böhmisches Bier. Seit der Renovierung besser eingerichtet. Preis-​Leistung sehr gut. Großer Raucherbereich an der Bar.

We had dinner twice at this restaurant because of a recommendation of a relative. The food was amazing, quite gourmet and ridiculously cheap for the value we got. We highly recommend the starters, especially the baked cheese and you should try the meat on grill sticks as a main course.
The service was also really great, we got seated inside first, but got changed to another table at our request as soon as one was available outside on the terrace.
Cannot recommend this enough!
