I was there a few nights ago and the place and the atmosphere are really nice, but if you’re hungry you better be very, very patient. The food takes forever to be served, it took more than 40 min to get my plate of chicken wings, and a friend ordered a burger that also took sooo long to be ready and when she finally got it, it was cold. I’m also under the impression that they change the ketchup, they have Heinz bottles on the table but it surely doesn’t taste like it, it taste more like the cheap thing, which is cheating the customer.

My friend had suggested that I should try the enchiladas here with the wet green sauce, a traditional Salsa Verde. I was not disappointed; the salsa and enchiladas tasted great! You can taste the freshness and fresh citrus flavor a in the green Salsa Verde. The corn tortillas used had a great corn texture and tasted fresh. The cheese and white sauce on top was the right amount in combination with the shredded grilled chicken breast, as the Salsa Verde took center stage. I am a hearty eater, so I liked the portion size, as they filled a plate that was bigger than my face to the brim with food. The rice was fluffy and fresh and flavorful, the peppers tossed in on the side gave a nice kick to the whole dish, and the homemade baked beans were tasty and smooth, and not refried. There is a smoking and NONSMOKING area which is an added bonus for a restaurant in a country where indoor public smoking is prevalent. One thing one should note is the location, as one needs to walk down a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant and the front of the restaurant is hard to make out. Joe’s American Grill is right on the corner of Mánesova and Budečská, Manesova is a street north of Vinohradska and runs parallel to it. From the Metro station Muzeum, you are going to want to get out of the Metro exiting AWAY from Vaclavska Namesti, the main square and then walk up Vinohradska for 2 blocks and turn up left, heading north just over to the next street running parallel to Vinohradska for Manesova. I also had the loaded potatoes halves, something to remind me of home, per potato skins. The melted cheese and sour cream was luxuriously delicious; the combination was like a fun, gooey brie. There was a side of this citrus, sweet sauce, and again it tasted homemade and fresh, made from scratch. I polished it all off with a shot of Jack Daniels. Bottom line: Joe’s American Grill has set a new bar for quality, freshness of ingredients, and tasty enchiladas in the middle of Central Europe, in Prague. Come here for tasty, quality Mexican food. I just find the place hard to find; I hope this review can help point me and others in the right direction.
