Okey, it has been a couple of years since I’ve been here. But from what I remember, I was very amazed by the collection they had of church art and the building was very impressive as well! So I do recommend it. Even after all these years.

St Agnes is one of the National Gallery locations scattered about the city — its north of Old Town, near the University. You really need to enjoy medieval religious art to visit — I do. This location is essentially divided into two distinct parts — the cloister buildings which date from the 1200’s, and the art museum. The Cloister buildings are mostly empty but are still beautiful and interesting to explore. The art museum portion is upstairs and the layout is kind of a maze — we kept doubling back into areas and trying to figure out if we’d been there before. The labels are in Czech for the most part so you may wish to take the audio guide if you don’t know a triptych from a diptych. There are many masterworks from medieval Bohemian churches here, like alter pieces, screen, icons and more. Again, this museum is probably not going to be appealing to a casual day tripper but or those with an interest in this time period St Agnes is well worth a trip.
