Small restaurant located at the old Jewish quarter, a stone throw from the cemetery. One of few places where you can walk in without reservation on Xmas eve night. Mussels seems to be the house speciality, being cultivated in Denmark according to the restaurant. Ordered two main dish, mussels in white wine with celery and onions, and the fried fish(can’t remember the fish name). The mussels were good, tender and juicy unlike other restaurants where you would find them kinda rubbery. For this, I would have given it a four stars. Reason for three was the poor presentation of the fish. It came without any side dishes. The three stars were also due to the level of service which I found rather disappointing since the restaurant was almost empty on Xmas eve and the service staffs did not appear to be pleased in serving us. Go if you are looking for mussels, otherwise, look elsewhere.

Travelling around Prague we came across this restaurant and decided to save it for our final meal in this wonderful city. Being of Belgian blood and both of us loving mussels and frites, this Belgian restaurant fitted the bill. We arrived to be told that it was for reservations only. Now I can understand this but the way it was aggressively put by the young lady(using those words not to be rude) was unnecessary. Her attitude did not convey the usual Belgian friendliness. No more to be said.

Well– it beat hunger. Not really impressed. The staff is completely indifferent— I’m being kind. I ordered the traditional moules-frites. Giving them the benefit of the doubt– I came in at 2:00. Maybe I received the tail end of the lunch mussles– they were in the dry and shriveled stage of life. I literally spit 3 out.(Not easy for this proper southern girl to do!) Sad I wasted a lunch here in this beautiful city.

Walked in not knowing what to expect. Ended up having one of the best lamb dishes I’ve ever had. Fantastic. Along with an amazing selection of Belgian beers and good desserts, I enjoyed it it very much. As for the service, it was very french like. Deal with it.

Gute, belgische Küche mitten in Prag? Les Moules zeigt wie es geht. Eine absolute Empfehlung!

Eh, would not return. Had the 900g dinner of mussels. Mussels were good but the Rocquefort cheese sauce was less than tasty. Really no flavor. Much prefer Bistro du Coin in Washington, DC for the same dish. Bread is not included which is bizarre but you can buy some for 49k. Plan on getting two orders of bread

Excellent octopus, prawn soup, fish sausage! Typically we do not trip places the hotel concierge recommends. The hotel driver suggested this place and it wS perfect for a light lunch /dinner. Beer on tap too!

It’s a bit noisy. The moules frites” are good. I’m not sure about the rest of the menu. I went with a Czech friend and she was rather disappointed in the service. She also determined that the«home made desert» was unlikely to be made in house. It’s a rather touristic. restaurant.

Last Saturday my bf and I went to Les Mussels restaurant for oysters, shrimps and mussels. Delicious seafood and fantastic location. However, the rest of services were poor and disappointing. 1. The waiters were rude and indifferent to our needs — we had to ask about three times(!!!) for water and clean plates before they even responded to our inquiries. 2. The first and most disgusting impression from this restaurant was the dirty tong and fork for snails(we asked to change these, and a waiter has not event apologized to us). 3. The last and most frustrating part of our experience was the attempt to rip us off! We ordered 1 plate of unlimited shrimps and 2 kg of mussels, whereas the lovely waiters put in the receipt– 2 unlimited plates of shrimps(1400 kc = 56 € each), and two portions of unlimited mussels. Once we argued the check and the overall experience there was no decent apology whatsoever! Absolutely disappointed by this restaurant. Exaggerated prices, poor service, tried to rip us off!

Belgisches Bier in der Tschechischen Republik? Eigentlich ein No-Go in Prag: Belgisches Bier trinken. Grosse Auswahl. Freundliche Bedienung. Fairer Preis. Belgisches Bier in der Tschechischen Republik!

I was in Prague last week and happened upon Les Moules with some of my traveling companions. We checked out the menu and the Unilocal reviews and decided we had to come back for dinner — we were not disappointed. We each got an order of mussels to share as well as two baskets of breads and two orders of fries. Among us we had the beer and bacon, chorizo, dijon mustard, and white wine. I’d have to say the chorizo was my favorite and I was sad I was not the one to order it. It was extremely flavorful and had just the right amount of kick to it. The fries and bread baskets were also a hit and complemented the mussels perfectly. The ambiance and service at Les Moules are also a big win. Service throughout my Europe trip was spotty but at this restaurant our waiter was attentive and made great recommendations. His awesome service as well as the atmosphere in the restaurant made us feel right at home and made for one of the most relaxing and enjoyable meals of my trip abroad. I’d highly recommend Les Moules to anyone looking to try out mussels in Prague.

Stopped in for dinner on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 based on Unilocal reviews. Best meal we had in Prague/Praha. We walked in for an early dinner w/o a reservation. Luckily we were able to be seated within 10 mins. This restaurant has a smoking & non-smoking section. My BF ordered the All-you-can-eats mussels. I ordered the roasted Duck thigh & leg w/roasted root vegetables. The mussels came with a choice of styles. He started with the garlic & white wine. Then he had the Thai seasoning. The quantity was huge for the first order. Was more than enough to satisfy. Second order took 20 mins to come out of the kitchen and the quantity was less. The Thai was good, but he liked the white wine & garlic better. He would have been happy with just one order, so save your money & don’t order the all-you-can-eat! My duck was awesome & the roots vegetables made the meal! Was so tired on potatoes by then! LOL I ordered a vodka tonic with lime AND ice. They don’t give you ice in eastern Europe unless you ask. What I got was a small glass with ice, a small glass with ice with a few slices of lime, a small glass with a shot of vodka & a small bottle of tonic water! Had to build my own drink! In Europe its considered rude to put the check on the table unless they are asked! So, ask for the check as soon as you know you won’t be ordering anything more as it still takes several minutes to get it even after you asked for it! They believe a meal is an adventure, not to be rushed!

Back in the days I didn’t care too much for mussels, but when I went to France my husband let me tried some of his, I was hooked. We found Les Moules after touring the Jewish Quarter and were getting hungry so we stopped by. We ordered Thai Style Mussels and Peppercorn Mussels. They both are vey good and well spiced. The Thai Style broth is similar to Tom Kah(coconut soup). It was served with a side of rice which we devoured with the left over mussels broth. Since I usually craved Thai food when I travel, this place provides a good compromise between my husband and with eating Thai food and Western food.

Just finished looking at the Astronomical Clock and want a giant Hoegarten? Then this is the place. A little pricey like everything in Prague 1, but the .5l of Hoegarten at 99CZK seemed worth it. Place smells of muscles and garlic adding to the Belgium vibe.
