This is an absolutely beautiful beer garden with fantastic views of the city and an extremely friendly environment. I would say that this particular garden may actually have one of the best views in town, pair that with delicious beer, some nice little snacks and an extremely low price and you have yourself a winning recipe. Overall, I loved this place and the location and would highly recommend a visit. Pros– Snack VIEWS Beer Service Atmosphere Location Cons– Tough when it’s cold A tad on the dirty side

I lived in Prague my whole life so I can hopefully say that I know what’s good here. And this place is one of my most favorite places ever for beer drinking outside. It’s perfect from spring till fall. Beautiful view, cheap beer, chillaxed atmosphere. What more do you need?! ;-)

60 Krouna beers in a stunning location overlooking the city. Even if it’s a style of beer I’m not keen on, what a great experience!

Just so you know… I am a fan of any place where I can sit and hang with my friends on a warm sunny day. So for Letna Beer Garden it should be no surprise that also this location has touched my heart. Now as a non-beer drinker in Beer drinking Czech you would think I would struggle, but the fact is that I love a good cider and this is exactly the kind of place to have a good cider and a snack on an afternoon before a wedding will take place. Don’t get me wrong, it is all outside and it isn’t fancy(yes I know shocker right? me and not a fancy place) but it just hits all the right spots. And the most remarkable of all is the actual spot(location, in case you are wondering what I mean). This Beer garden is set in the beautiful Letna park on a hill and its view is amazing. You can see all around Prague, while keeping an eye on the castle. If you like to be outdoors and enjoy a park with friends this is definitely one I can recommend and where you will find loads of locals having a drink and afternoon snack.

Great views, cheap beer, and the slight hike up to the beer garden makes it all the more worth it. I wish they had more food besides potato chips but it’s ok.

There isn’t much not to love about this place. It has an amazing veiw of the city in a beer garden. They have good food and beers you can purchase at the vendors. You just grab any spot and sit down and relax in a beautiful park. Love this place.

The best beer garden in Prague — I mean, LOOK at that view. Many, many hours of my life have slipped away coming for«a couple of beers» and staying until late. NOTE(however): in the summer of 2014, the Letensky zamek people, who apparently lease the property for the beer garden, opened up a kind of crappy food stall, and then decided to be jerks about people bringing in «outside» food. The guy from last summer(«Lanyard Larry», for those in the know) was a bit too enthusiastic and power drunk, so he’s gone, and there’s a new guy who seems a bit more reasonable.

Very nice scenery, really a green garden and not too expensive beer — although served from plastic mugs. A playing ground is just few meters away for kids to enjoy.

Don’t look for the meals, don’t look for the full bar, sit on the wooden bench, have a beer and some good openair talk! «Cultic» place for friend-meetings! Pétanque playing area nearby.

I love the beer garden in Letna. Living in Vinohrady, I often make my guests walk down the hill through Riegrovy sady and than city center — Masarykovo nadrazi, Namesti Republiky and Revoluční street only to end up under a huge hill to climb Letenske Zahrady. Once I manage to drag them up the hill, they quickly realise it was worth it! Nice glass of beer on wooden benches with one of the best views you can get in Prague. Best view of Riegrovy sady, Vltava bays in Karlin, and all the bridges. Its hard to stop explaining where everything is and what are all the things to see. There are 3 types of refreshment. Basic bufet, where you can get the beer, lemonade, chips, sweets. Kind of helps with the first aid. Next one is outside pizzeria with a nice menu of basic dishes and the last one is restaurant in Letensky Zamecek, both of which will be addressed in a different review.

This beer garden is located in a great park. Easy transportation We went after work on Thursday afternoon/evening and were the only people there. Maybe it’s just the time of year. Beer was ok. I plan to give it another try during better weather months.

Awesome beer garden! Even though it was fall weather and slightly rainy, a great place to grab cheap beers and enjoy the view(and no, pictures can’t capture it!) with friends. Embrace the steep climb up or the 257 steps if take the stairs. I imagine on a summer night this place would be packed. Very limited snacks from the kiosk(where you order beer) but there is a restaurant by the beer garden(I’m unable to give a review as we didn’t try it, however they let me use the WC for free!)

Like sippin’ mai tais on the beach, poppin’ champagne at the club, or shotgunnin’ Natty Light at a frat party, drinking pilsner at Letná Beer Garden just feels right. I don’t know what this phenomenon is called, where a specific drink and specific location join forces to become the most harmoniously appropriate combination each entity could hope to find. Perhaps it is something that has yet to be named. Geospiritsynchronicity? Alcolocalequilibrium? Or maybe Letná is just the bar David Byrne was singing about in «Heaven» — you know, the blissful one where«nothing ever happens»? Because the thought behind Letná Beer Garden(letná essentially means«summer» in Czech, I’m told) is a simple yet glorious one. At the far end of a park, plant a series of picnic benches in a playground-type area, prop up a kiosk selling pilsner, and let the unreal hilltop views of Prague do the rest. Because above all else, it’s this sweeping panorama of the city and the River Vltava, on a sunny afternoon, framed by the green glow of nature, that will take your breath away. One could argue the beer is really there just to bring you back to earth. This may very well be God’s beer garden, with The Big Guy relaxing, catching a buzz, and looming benevolently over His domain. For a city, I happen to find Prague rather relaxing. Maybe it’s because I was brought to Letná Beer Garden early into my stay here and it simply set the tone for the rest of my trip. Still, you’re hard-pressed to find a better place to unwind than this parkside paradise, pilsner in hand. Don’t even bother with Instagram(this coming from somewhat of an addict). No filter or hashtag can quite capture this kind of heavenly experience. Even one where nothing ever happens.
