Avoid this place if you don’t want to be cursed by the grumpy old lady. This review is quite long and is not about the food at this place. The food here is actually quite acceptable. But I have been too many really good ones in the States so it was ok to me. The review is about the services here. I was meeting up a friend who traveled to Prague from London to meet another friend who works nearby the restaurant. She recommended we eat here since she goes here with coworkers from time to time. She also told us that she remembers her coworkers paid with credit cards there the day before. That’s why we decided to go since we didn’t exchange much local currency. So the services at the beginning was alright, our waitress’ English wasn’t so good but we were able to order. Our friend had to leave earlier to go back to work so me and my London friend stayed for a little longer. We waited a bit for the waitress to bring our bill but she didn’t come so we decided to go to the cashier and pay. An older middle aged lady(maybe the owner, I don’t know) on the phone talking while giving us the bill at the same time but didn’t give us the total amount. So we asked her. She seemed annoyed but calculated for us using the calculator. She asked us if we wanted to pay together or separately. We chose the latter, then she continued to type impatiently on the calculator n told us how much we each need to pay. So I gave her my credit card, she started to get more annoyed n said: no card, only cash. I questioned her since our friend told us we could used card also more importantly we didn’t hv enough koruna. She was really pissed n started saying sth in Vietnamese which we couldn’t understand. I asked her to take it easy there is no point to be upset. They told us there is a cash machine nearby. I asked them if I can pay with euros, they agreed but she was still super upset and wouldn’t stop talking in her language. So I asked the younger waitress what was wrong? Why can’t she just be calm? It’s not like we are not paying. She wouldn’t provide us an explanation. Then the older lady became super angry and start cursing us in foreign language and pointing her finger at us and at her forehead at the same time. I kept telling her to relax which obviously didn’t work. We just paid in euros and the little koruna we have and headed outside but I left my umbrella at the register. She grabbed the umbrella and tossed it at out feet, during this entire time she didn’t stop cursing us. We were really upset but we stayed calm the entire time. We really didn’t understand why she was so upset. Seriously, we were not showing any bit of anger or aggressiveness. It really shocked us especially my friend from London since it was her first day in Prague. So avoid this place. There are other decent Vietnamese restaurants in Prague.

This is one of the best you can find in Smichov area. There are typical vietnamese meals as Phở, but also Banh Cuon(Rice Rolls) which you can find only here or in Sapa. Highly recommended !!!
