Loved this café, best latte I’ve ever had. The food was good too, prices are fair, great ambiance and good service.

Barista was not nice. I dropped my coffee and he just looked at me with disgust. The right move would have been to give me another… Or at least not be a jerk to me. My wife’s drink was OK, but I did not like the treatment.

I initially wrote a very harsh review on this place, but after quite a lot of discussion it seems that some people have had reasonable food and service whilst others have not. For the sake of balance, rather than give a very poor review, I should say ‘Make up your own mind’.

Came in on a calm Sunday. Seated and immediately attended. I got ordered the Turkish coffee which was absolutely delicious and my husband and I shared the local meat burger with vegetable bulgur and fresh beet salad. It was all delicious and perfect. The staff was very nice and I’m very glad we came upon this place!

This is my third attempt to write this review, as the previous two drafts have become too profane to be published. Let me assure you my criticism is merited. See for yourselves. I’d walked in with my friend during lunch hour, we sat down and waited for staff to attend to us. Nothing happened for a quarter of an hour. All right, I get it, it’s a busy time. We used the time for choosing from the lunch menu. About 15 minutes later, a waiter took our order. I guess late is better than never. Another 15 minutes passed and another waiter asked us to order. We tell him that we have had already placed an order. *crickets chirping for another 10 minutes* Then our previous waiter comes up and asks us to change seats, because we were two sitting at a table for four. The waiter explained that he needs the table just in case a bigger group would come in for lunch. After asking where the group is, we got an answer that they need the table just in case. Mind you, the café is half-empty at that time. Biting my tongue, we leave to the back where another ten people are eating lunch and we can’t hear each other speak. After brief negotiation, we find out it’s absolutely impossible to move us back to the previous table. Furthermore, the waiter was rude and made it abundantly clear that we are bothering him. At that point, the only thing keeping us from leaving was our ordered food. The last drop came soon enough. We dared to ask when we were going to receive our ordered meals. His answer: «You have to be patient,» after all that has happened almost made me act like Begbie( ). Results? Two upset customers and an experience they definitely won’t want to repeat anytime soon. Errors happen, I understand. There is no excuse for making absolutely no effort to solve guest’s problems, though. Therefore, my rating of this place is: AVOIDLIKETHEPLAGUE! PS: Revenue from this café serves as a source of funding for Czech Green Party(Strana zelených). If the party is as mismanaged as the café, then I am quite happy they didn’t make it to the European Parliament.

A pretty nice, average size café close to Jindrisska tram stop with excellent bio coffee, delicious cakes and great breakfasts. The place promotes a green way of living and«fair trade» concept and has a relaxing atmosphere(unless it’s a lunch hour, then it’s loud and crowded). The service is standard, the drinks and food are served quite fast. The price level is rather medium for the city centre.
