Horrible! DONOTGO! Foreigners not welcomed. Pub was empty when at 4:00pm when we entered and the bartender/host asked if we had a reservation. We chuckled thinking he was joking since there was not one person in the whole place, but sadly he wasn’t. He looked up rudely from checking his computer screen and said you have two hours then there is a reservation. He then returned to talking to the two waitresses who were sitting at the bar with him doing nothing. Needless to say we left immediately and very upset.

Great place to knock back a few cold beers and grab a cheap bite to eat in Prague. This gem was all of a few blocks from our hotel. They have taps at every table so you can pour your own draft. Its a lot of fun. If you need more variety, a number of other drafts are available at the bar. The food was high quality if simple Czech fare. My wife got the chicken schnitzel and I got the pork. Both were quite tasty. The bill came to about 260 crowns for our two entrées and a liter and a half of beer. That’s about 13 dollars US or a bit less than 10 Euros. No complaints there. Overall if you’re in the area and looking for a few beers and some Czech food, stop by The Pub.

Nice place with good ambiance, though it’s located on a slightly sketchy looking street. The beer here is self serve and the machine lets you put your beer on your own tab which is nice when you’re here with a big group. They only serve Pilsner though… which I’m not a fan of, but that’s okay. Prices were pretty high though – about 39kC I believe for a beer. It’s fun though since they have this giant tv screen so you can see how your table is doing relative to some of the other tables. Nice hangout spot, but a bit expensive.

Close to the Jewish Quarter/Old Town and Charles U, The PUB is a goid place to eat and especially drink. If I were still in my 20’s, I would have awarded it a 5 because honestly it is fun to pull your own beer. It’s especially good when going with a group as you can have seperate tabs for each person. I love that you’ll never have an empty glass and if you want a snack you can order it on the screen. Fast, efficient — me likey! Food…ehhh…ok. But, I’m not complaining because lunch specials were kc89 — that’s right — $ 4.50! So… for a prime location, fast service, 4 x .5l beers, a soup and two entrees = kc322 or about $ 16. I can only imagine the scene here at night but for lunch, you can’t go wrong.
