I’m about to tear this place up… Hang on. For one reason only. They charge over 2 euro for tap water. I had two beers so far and a full meal and they want to charge me for tap water? Sorry… It’s over. You need to change this policy immediately. I’m about to fill up my glass in the bathroom sink. How interesting, as I am writing this, a woman is asking for toilet paper from the bartender because there is none in their bathroom. But I bet the bathroom has free water. Enjoy, lady… Enjoy. :)

Nestled under some trees near the large square is this little gem. Outside table didn’t look filled but menu was varied so we gave it a try. We sat in the unused area further from the restaurant. Outside seats closer to the building were taken. Our food was all great. I had the salmon with beet and potato purée. We shared the asparagus appetizer, oldest got the book tenderloin with cherry and plus sauces, hubby got the chicken and pork kebab, and youngest had sides of portobello mushroom, grilled pineapple and a baked potato. Everything was delicious and our waitress was wonderful. I’d definitly go back. Their credit card machine wasn’t working so we had to get cash bit everything else was amazing

Kinda big restaurant with lots of space outside and really good food. They serve a really good pork knee and all the other delicous czech plates. Special tip would be the cucumber lemode, just to try :)

Would give it zero stars if I could. The service was absolutely miserable, the staff were argumentative when we had a minor issue with a menu item, and the whole experience was terrible. There are very few places I give only one star, but this place earned it with gusto. The food was meh to ok. Honestly, you can do much better for much less elsewhere, and not suffer the service Kotleta thanklessly provides. I’m not a super-hard critic, and I’ll usually write off poor service as a waiter having too big a section, having a bad day, or whatever — everybody has their off days. When we entered the restaurant there were two other 2 – 3 person tables filled, and literally every person we dealt with either didn’t feel it was their job to talk to us, was unhelpful, or was downright hostile. Try somewhere else!

My husband and I stopped by this restaurant tonight to try their food after walking around Prague. We ordered drinks and food because we heard great things about this place on TripAdvisor. I ordered the only cider on their menu, a «British Cider,» and when I received it, discovered that it tasted like cherry cough medicine. I asked our waiter if I could exchange it for another drink since it tasted bad to me and wasn’t a true cider. He refused! Not only did he refuse, but he insisted that I should have known it had cherries in it, and that it was good, contrary to my experience. He told me that I could order another drink, but that he wouldn’t take it off the bill. We thought this was unfair since most ciders DONOT have cherries in them, and it’s a reasonable expectation not to expect them to be in the drink. So we tried to cancel our orders and leave, but our food was ready. We asked that it be put in to go containers since we didn’t want to be around our rude waiter. While we were waiting for our food to be packed, our waiter confronted me again about the cider! He asked me what was wrong, and I told him again that the cider tasted bad, and that it had a bad cherry flavor which is not usual for a cider. He then told me I was wrong, that it WAS good, and that *I* was wrong in how I felt about it. So ridiculous! I couldn’t believe he was telling me I was wrong to think something did not taste good, and to keep on confronting me about it. On the way out, I asked for knives and forks to go with our to go food, and they refused to answer my question. They kept on repeating, «Good bye!» What rude waiters! I will never go here again! If I could, I would give this place zero stars.

Miserable service. I came with my daughter at lunch when the restaurant was completely empty. We were told to sit at any table we want. We sat at a table for 4 people and were told by another waiter that since we were only two we couldn’t sit there. From the looks of the place they could have used our business, but they lost it. I will not set foot in this place again. They lack the slightest courtesy.

This place serve some really great and authentic Bohemian food. I chose the Pork Knee and it was wonderful in every way. The ribs are also amazing. Service was a bit spotty since we came at lunchtime and the place was packed. The local beer they offered, Staropramen, was really good and worth a try. If you are at or near city center, this is a great place to go. I see a lot of people ordering a whole roasted chicken and Bohemian dumpling as well. I asked around and others were very happy with their selections as well. There was a table of 6 and they all ordered the dumplings(bread with a lot of gravy) so we ordered one as well. It was also really good. You can’t go wrong eating here. The prices are very reasonable for the locale.

Had a great dinner here — my husband had amazing mushroom risotto. Beef Tartar was good as was a skewered meat and vegetable dish. Roasted plums wrapped in bacon was a fun starter. Wine was also very good. Only minus is that the service in Prague seems a bit more ‘relaxed’ than in the states.

We really enjoyed our afternoon meal here, sitting in a beautifully manicured outdoor café surrounded by flowering plants. If you come in from the street side, just walk through the indoor restaurant and enter the patio in the back. It’s really quite refreshing and pleasant Now, food-wise, we are no experts in Czech cuisine. The goulash was sufficiently goulashy and the chicken schnitzel was sufficiently fried. The fresh arugula salad with incredibly sweet cherry tomatoes and shaved Parmesan was actually the star of the meal, for us!
