Gateway Cleaners

Not sure why the low ratings. I’ve been going to this place for 10 years – not one broken button. Sunny is the nicest lady and her tailoring is great too. When I moved out of the neighborhood I tried other places but have been disappointed with the lack of care. So, instead I still drive from Arlington to take my clothes here for dry cleaning because of the superior quality.

This is the worst place on earth. I have bought 11 new shirts for my new job that require a certain dress code. I have given the lady all of them just out of the box, after few days I went there to pick them up then I discovered the next morning when I was going to work that 7 of them got yellow stains, oil marks and big black scuffs on the collar and the arms. Went back there to complain and the lady (who doesn’t speak english) said ok ok and that’s all what she said just ok. They tried to clean them but it did not work out and they refused to reimburse me for the cost of my new shirts. Bad business and bad people.

Had to update my review to reflect the rapid and steep decline of this business. Nestled in the retail section of the Huntington Gateway Apartment complex, this business destroyed a number of garments to include ripped dress shirts, shredded trousers, shrunken and stained skirts, and poorly pressed suits. We had used this Mom & Pop establishment for a few years without major issue, but over the last year of our «relationship,» their propensity to damage clothing became frequent and totally unreasonable. While they did offer compensation, it was always in the form of free cleaning… that is like going back to the doctor who just amputated the wrong limb for follow up surgery. Nice folks, but it is time to retire.

These guys are in the retail center of my building. I find them to be efficient and reasonably priced. We had one piece that did not come back properly and they did it over agina with no issues. I do enjoy the lady who seems to run the place as well. Very friendly
