When you’re in need of any Chinese herbs. This is the place to go. The workers are really friendly. They speak both Chinese and Vietnamese. The deals are pretty good. They also sell lots of stuff you’d normally find at grocery stores too. PS they always have tea samples in the corner of the back entrance!

Everyone must be wondering what the heck is this place? Well, it’s a Chinese Herbal store. They have a Chinese Herbal Doctor on site. His examination isn’t a traditional way. He sits across you, he would have you place your arm out onto a pillow & it looks like he’s taking your pulse count. Well he is. He’s reading you through your heartbeat & how ever your pulse is will tell him your ailments. Interesting… all from your pulse! Once he confirms his reading, he will write a «prescription» for you to get it filled at the store right outside the office. They will measure the ingredients by a very traditional scale & using brass weights to counter balance. Once it’s filled they will give you specific instructions on how to cook & prepare the herbal concoction. End result… A dark, concentrated liquid that is bitter as heck! Bottoms up!(Heard that they can make it into a pill form but not as effective as the liquid form) The store also sells ingredients for herbal soups, nuts, ginseng, snacks, spices, cupping sets, dried squids, dried scallops & shrimps, Asian & Euro topical creams & hair dyes. They do have some fresh vegetables & root vegetables as well. Lots of other interesting items there. Parking is in the back. Anything under $ 20 is Cash Only!

We came here to pickup some Asian herbs to make some soup. There are a lot of herbs and medicine that are sold here. The store is in an older building that has parking in the back and street parking in the front. It’s not as big as some of the other similar stores in Monterey Park or San Gabriel. But we prefer to come here as their prices are comparable to the other stores and it is not as crowded.

My mother and my cousins had been coming to this Chinese Herbal store for years and recommended to me when I needed my herbs to be fill. For the past 3 months I have been get my herbs fill here and it costs me about $ 200 a month for a 28 days supply of raw herbs. Since I am not a specialist in Chinese herbs I had no clue what they are. I just go home and cook it and drink it like everyone else who trust their herbal. I started breaking out all over my body, got really bad migraine and my period came really early too. I had a few bags left and decided to bring them back in to the store to see what I can do with remainder of my herbs. I found out that the herbs that they filled for me was wrong. I was missing a lot of ingredients that was suppose to be there and the some of the herbs that they fill for me were wrong. They were not what my acupuncturist wrote. The store owner, who has 3 children that are all pharmacist, denied it and charged me again for the missing ingredients that I have already paid for in the first place. All he cares about is money. He is not ethical. Just like fill med at a pharmacy, filing the wrong herbal medicine can potentially really harm you. I wish that I can give it a zero rating but there are not option for that. I really hope that the consumers out will give this place a second thought before going here to get there herbal tea fill. Their price might be good but not worth risking your life for.

This is one of the many herbal Chinese shops that the SG area has to offer. A year ago, their original shop was burnt down by a fire and they recently reopened their store. My mom and I come here to get our fix on ingredients that we need to make our herbal soups and teas. Some routine items we pick up here are dried shrimps, Chinese sausage, and dried mushrooms. They also have a wide range of creams, lotions, and medication to help with your needs. They ladies that work here are super nice and helpful.
