Word on the street in A-town is that this place is now closed. Hopefully a new joint will open in its place. This restaurant had character.

Def one of the better places in Alpharetta. Food was good. Blue moon was good on draft. Pricey if you are going for a ‘dish’. Pizza was tasty, I had the BBQ Chicken with Hummus — I suggest ordering it. Main points: –chill atmosphere –good patio seating –quality food if any cons: –dumpster is near by and you can catch a few whiffs of it –gets pricey for what it is… stay with small dishes that are just as good

I really enjoyed this fancy little hideaway in Alphie! Cute place for an intimate lunch. I didn’t check out the«treehouse» second floor but I was told that the trees bloom beautifully in the spring and the branches come up to the window. Next time I am eating up there! The menu is nice and simple. I had a tender beef sandwich with yummy fries. My food was cold by the time I got to eat it(fussy baby), but next time I’ll go solo and I’m sure my sandwich hot would be awesome! The pasta that comes as a sub for fries looked great. The desserts looked amazing and they have a selection that will make your head spin(at least 20 desserts).I never would have found this spot without Unilocal.I will definetely go back, if not for the food then just for the scenery and the fish pond. Very cute!

I’m so glad that I finally tried this cute southern inspired restaurant in downtown Alpharetta. What a treat! My husband and I plus his family went here on a Friday night to celebrate my birthday. I wanted to find a place that could accommodate our party of 7, and Slice did it perfectly. The restaurant is in a really unique old home with a gazebo and a koi pond out front. The ambiance inside is very quaint, with a large bar and some seating downstairs, and two more seating rooms upstairs. We were seated upstairs in a small windowed room off the main room, which was a perfect fit for our large group. For appetizers we had the Panko Fried Green Tomatoes(tangy fresh tomatoes with an airy crisp coating) and some kind of amazing crab and cheese fritters that were a special for the night(my personal favorite). All of the ladies except for me got the Chicken Fried Chicken smothered in pancetta gravy with bleu cheese mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach. They all said it was good, but my mother-in-law wanted my entrée when she tasted it. I opted for our server’s recommendation, the Rock Shrimp and Grits. Simply mouthwatering. Bacon and corn were added into the creamiest grits I have ever tasted. But what really made the dish something special was the spiciness, perfect! Has to be the best thing on the menu. It was definitely the best thing at our table. The men went with Herb Crusted Prime Rib, Georgia Grass Fed Beef Meatloaf, and Pan Seared Black Grouper, all very good as well. As soon as my husband heard that the prime rib was cooked on the ‘green egg smoker’ he knew his choice. It was cooked to perfection and had a wonderful smokey flavor, although a little too much fat. The waiter gave me a choice of a slice of one of their heavenly looking cakes in the case downstairs as my free birthday dessert, I went with his recommendation once again, the chocolate crunch cake. TODIEFOR! My sister-in-law almost got another piece to take home, she’s pregnant and it was just that good. Overall an experience that won’t be soon forgotten, because we will be eating there again as soon as I can get my sweet man to take me.

A truly great place. Slice has become a regular lunch spot for me, though it can get a bit full so I normally go around 1 to skip the crowds. Very thoughtful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. The ambiance in general is everything I look for in my favorite restaurants, I love the koi pond! You can tell they take as much care with the surroundings as they do with each meal. The food is very good, I love the fries, perfectly cut each time! Using brioche for the paninis is genius!

Great new restaurant in downtown Alpharetta, full bar, and open late. We went at lunch and it was a packed house. I recommend going before noon unless you want to cram your party onto a tiny bar-height table. Appetizers were great, we ordered the chicken + bacon ‘lollipops’. Smoky goodness on a bed of braised onions. Also panko-fried green tomatoes were crisp. Salads are a great selection of fresh ingredients and varied greens, but I recommend a large size if its your entrée. Paninis and wraps are basic, but good, and the fries fried perfectly, nicely seasoned with generous pepper and salt. Beer list has some strong offerings(in bottles) of Dogfish, Chimay blue, Duvel, and others. Draft is Blue Moon, Guinness, Sweetwater 420, and Sam Adams. Pro: excellent atmosphere, bustling, outside patio, gazebo, good parking. Con: dessert menu is limited to cheesecakes and layer cakes(outsourced?), building not big enough to hold(what will be) growing crowds.
