Usually I’m always skeptical of who I order flowers from. I took a leap of faith and ordered from Altadena Florist, and my orders aren’t exactly the easiest to get right because I’m really nit picky.
To my surprise, every single rose that I ordered were fresh, with no signs of bruising, and the bouquet looked exactly as I ordered.
Not only that, they delivered on time and followed my specific instructions on how to deliver the flowers. The girl was ecstatic! I highly recommend this place.
If you want to impress someone, definitely order again from this place!

Never order flowers from here – or from here via FTD! My husband ordered flowers for my birthday to be delivered at work; I work at Caltech which is a fairly-​well known landmark in Pasadena and this florist is located only about 10 minutes away. The driver called me an hour before he delivered the flowers saying that someone had ordered flowers for me but he didn’t know where to deliver them. I told him I worked in Millikan Library at Caltech and he said he knew that but he didn’t know the address. Like many college campuses, Caltech does not have street addresses for every building. However, there is a map online of all of the buildings on campus. If you were, say, surprising someone with flowers, you’d probably use this map to find their building without calling them. I played along and tried to explain to him where my building was and he just kept asking for the street number. I gave him the nearest intersection, since there is no street number for my building. He then calls an hour later to say he is parked near that intersection and that he’s parked on a red curb so he can’t get out of the car or he’ll get a ticket so I have to come down and get the flowers. I had to walk down to a Nissan minivan on the side of the street to get my flowers – unacceptable for the amount of money it costs to send flowers! You are paying for the service! When I confronted the driver he was rude, and kept saying: «if you would have told me the address, I would have brought them up to your building – I’m not a lazy person!» I said, again, that the building doesn’t have an address, but a map is available online. He got defensive and I walked away. The flowers themselves were a bit wilted and not well arranged; I’ve seen much better from the grocery store. The manager on the phone said she was going to call FTD to let them know what happened so my husband would get a discount. I don’t count on that ever happening.
My coworker received a flower delivery from Jacob Maarse a few weeks ago and they had no problem finding their way to Caltech, our building, and her desk without asking her directly. From now on, I’ll ask my husband to order from there. Happy street-​side minivan birthday flowers to me! Seriously: don’t support this place.

This place was great! I had no idea what kind of arrangement to get for a funeral and they took care of everything by helping me pick out what was good and worked with me and my budget. The arrangement itself looked great and all the flowers looked fresh. The people working there were a big help and were very nice and worked with me even though I didn’t really know what I wanted. Will recommend this place to my other friends and family.

I am totally in love with this place! My friend recommended this place to me and told me about their variety of beautiful arrangements. I was in a bit of a pickle because it was Mother’s Day weekend, and I was still trying to figure out what kind of arrangement to get my mother. I went in, and Ken and Gina — the store owners — were very helpful. They were great — nice, welcoming, and very courteous. I told Gina what kind of flowers my mother liked and her favorite color, and she helped me figure out the rest from there. I picked it up on Sunday in their store, and the arrangement was beautiful. I loved it, and more importantly, my mother really loved it. I thought their price range was very reasonable. I will definitely be coming back here for any other occasion!

My complaint is not with the arrangement, which was beautiful! But the delivery service. My Aunt was notified that there would be a delivery for her and scheduled a timeframe the timeframe came and went. My Aunt called twice and was hung up on twice. The flowers were finally delivered several hours later a very good thing. I will not be using this service again nor will I be recommending this business to anyone. Too bad the flower arrangement was beautiful.

These guys are great! I called in to order flowers for a colleague who had a death in the family and they helped me pick out the perfect plant, and helped with what to say on the card.
When there was an issue with my credit card, they kept me updated, and called to let me know when the charges went through.
Incredibly helpful, polite, and professional!

We could not be more happy with the the help we get at Altadena Florist. We have been buying weekly bouquets and bunches of roses for the last few months. Ken and Gina have been consistently welcoming, cheerful, and generous to us. They are very creative with their designs, and the same time they always put the clients’ desire and needs first. On a number of occasions they have gone the extra mile for us without being asked and when it was simply an act of kindness. Strongest possible recommendation!
