One day at a dinner party an old friend of mine who knew I was dealing with some tough issues said to me «I am going to give you the biggest favor I’ve ever given you. I am going to give you Erin Hofmeijer’s phone number. She has changed my life». I was skeptical. But what the hell did I have to loose? At that moment, nothing. I went to Erin later that month and went back for several sessions. Since I have been working with her I have witnessed the most incredible inner transformation not just from the inside and my happiness level but ACTUAL physical transformation of the things in my life that were not working. It’s hard to articulate in a public review of such a personal experience but I will say this.. . If you feel stuck, or unhappy with some aspect of your life and you feel like you cannot seem to change it no matter how hard you try. Or you need to understand why you are in a certain situation that you had no intention of ever getting in… GO have a session or 10 with Erin! You will see change. And it will be the change you have always wanted. At least, that’s been my experience.

I came to Erin with a long history of depression. I was in my first trimester of pregnancy and looking for alternatives to medication. I’ve seen a regular therapist for most of my adult life and was a little unsure about hypnotherapy, but I’m so glad I went. My experience with Erin was so positive. Her intuition is amazing; she understood things about me that I had barely dealt with. She gave me new tools for dealing with negativity and depression that I can use for life. She is warm and welcoming and I always felt comfortable talking to her about intimate subjects. She treated me like a friend, not just a client. She got me, and it was very comforting. I feel so lucky to have met and worked with her.

Admittedly, I have seen therapists at various times throughout the last 20 years of my life. Without going into the details of my issues, the one thing I did notice, finally, was the repeating patterns. I was finally coming out of a dark morass after a particularly difficult 4 years of traumatic health issues, job loss, and relationship loss only to see the same patterns of frustration emerge once again. I resolved to once and for all change the pattern. At that very moment in my life a friend mentioned Erin, and the success and understand she’d found with her. I’m open minded and, honestly, the introductory session, where she briefly talks about what brought you to see her and how the process work s, was free, so I decide to give it a try. To be sure I’ve had varying degrees of success with other therapists, some even good, but nothing ever«stuck». Nothing got to the root of the issues. That’s what Erin does. She creates a safe and understanding, but determined environment. This isn’t open ended, this is, let’s go back to the beginning, find the root of everything and change — and move on with you life. Erin is not your crutch, she is a guide. This is tough, but Erin gives you the space and support to get through. In my years of therapy I grew to value those that would tell me what I needed to hear, not what I wanted to hear, Erin is that way. Yes, there is an element of hypnotism to the process, but not the«do silly tricks in front of an audience» sort of hypnotism, more in a deep meditation sense where understanding is found. I’m not going to gush about how amazing the process was, or how everyone should do it. Nor will I go into the real details of how it works. The truth is, progress is rarely linear, change does come from within, no one can«fix» you, but Erin is a great guide to understanding. For me, it worked, and I feel a greater sense of freedom than I have felt in a very very long time.
