We used enjoy eating here but the food has gone down hill. The soups are bland and did not taste fresh and the food we ordered was very greasy and bland. I’ll say it again the food is bland. This place is off our list

Seafood soup, fried shrimp and rice, totally fulfilled my cravings. I always get great service when I come here, not sure what some reviewers are complaining about.

Chinese Korean restaurant = one of my favorite types of restaurants. The place is really good for big parties as the restaurant is roomy and clean enough. My family got the jjajjangmyun, jjampong, tangsooyuk, and kangpoogki shrimp. Tangsooyuk was horrible! It was disappointing. I really wanted to like it, but it just kept getting worse. Jjajjangmyun was just a little bit above average, hence the 2 stars. Oh, and the portions are small for the price.

Took our friend from Hong Kong here and we all enjoyed it. Love the chicken with spicy orange sauce and their fried rice! The flavor of the food is great. You do have to flag someone down to get seated, but it’s usually not crowded. Better than Panda!

No flavor. Portion size small. Wait time extremely long. No service given. Food was not freshly made. Review is for 7 people at our table. Chachyangmyun(black bean sauce & noodles) — bland! No flavor to the sauce. Mostly onions in sauce. Can see the transparency in the sauce. Should be thick and dark. Where’s the meat? Noodles were overcooked. Gave enough for a few bites. Kkangpongsaewoo(spicy shrimp) — 1 – 2 pieces per person. Bland. Spicy scale with 10 being the hottest, I give it a 2. Sauce also very transparent. Should be thicker. Tansooyook(sweet & sour pork) — 1 – 2 pieces per person. Good on the flavor. Was both sweet and sour. Not your typical fast food sweet & sour sauce. This one has a yellowish tint to it, which is way better than the fast food kind. Meat was chewy. Should have a bit of crunch to it. How log was the meat cooked in advance or was it sitting in sauce for too long before it came to us? Mongolian beef– 2 – 3 pieces per person. Flavor was as expected so you can’t go wrong with this flavor. Meat was too chewy. Again, meat may have been cooked in advance and heated up for serving. Service– typical of any Asian restaurants where you have to call someone over, but why isn’t there anyone to be found after you’ve ordered? First glance when you walk in… Where is everyone? Our group and one other family were dining at 6PM. When were were walking out, saw 3 families dining. If you can’t fill tables, then the food you have prepared isn’t fresh. You’re most likely using heat lamps and recooking food. This is supposed to be a Chinese restaurant. You share all the plates. Usually enough to have more than 1 – 2 pieces. What a shame!

I went to this restaurant because others have said the food taste good. Food was mediocre at best but the attitude of the lady that served was unbelievably rude. I am surprised that establishment have stayed open for business. She was actually raising her voice at me when I wanted order more items off the menu. I simply figure out what her problem was. First I thought she may be fresh off the boat but she tried to speak English to us when we spoke to her in Korean… she’s one of those Chinese who speaks Korean, Chinese born In Korea. Anyway, I don’t really care how or where she learned to speak Korean. She definitely didn’t learn to welcome customers with a smile or sime level of decency. Her parents clearly didn’t teach her well. I hate to put this on her parents but she clearly wasn’t trained or taught growing up how to speak to others in a polite manner. And she wants to earn a living on tips with that type of attitude to customers. Pretty ignorant at best. I will never go to this place even if it’s the last wanna be Chinese restaurant in the world. What a waste of my family’s time and my money. Terrible experience. Plenty of better Chinese restaurants in that area so I recommend that you venture further before you torture.

Jjambbong in north OC ****************************************************** For those craving some good jjambbong in the Buena Park, Fullerton, La Habra area, you might want to consider this place. Their 3-star Unilocal rating is a bit misleading. Their jjambbong dish is surprisingly tasty! As with most koreans, I’ve eaten this spicy seafood noodle soup many times. This place holds its own compared with other places I’ve been to in LA/OC. I come here frequently with my parents for our bimonthly dinners. We are regulars. I love their roomy semicircular diner style booths. My 4-star review is based on their«samsung jjambbong» or seafood noodle soup dish. Its fantastic! Pretty clean tasting spicy broth with fresh crisp veggies and noodles that are slightly al dente which I like. No limp ingredients nor is it too salty. Their jjambong is way above average for the LA /Orange County area. I’d place it in the 80 – 85 percentile for all LA/OC jjambbongs. Also, there little side dish of kimchi is great. Its kimchi with celery and bits of carrots. I LOVEIT! I can’t get enough of it. If you live in north OC and have the sudden craving for jjambbong, I highly recommend this place!

One of my favorite restaurants. When I want to treat my wife to something special this is one of our choices. We order egg foo young and it is off the chart. Food is always fresh and good. The service has been great and the food is served very quickly.

Solidly good non-Panda Express Chinese food. The pan friend dumplings were really good! Great service too — friendly and attentive. I will definitely be returning here!

Just came out of the restaurant! Terrible service! I went there with my little 3 yr old and my husband. I kindly asked one of the waiter if he can get me a small bowl for my baby and he said: «Why do you need a small bowl? For what? Isn’t that plate enough to share for both of you?» I lost my word.

These guys used to be so friendly towards my friends and I. Yesterday i went there with my partner and ordered a few plates… requesting the black mushrooms on all plates even if there was an extra charge. When we were beought the plates there were no mushrooms so we waited a while for waiter to return. He informes us that there is mushrooms in our dishes(i always order the same way with the same guy) and he acted as though i was stupid. He then told us that it was my mistake and it was too late anyways to fix order… because it was alrwady made… what the??? My partner from northern California was waiting to try tgis place i had been raving about for almost two years. So in a way i was forced to ordee some bok choy and black mushroom plate that i truly did not want and most went to waste. Not cool as a restaurant or for tge world.

Came here for lunch with a few friends. Good lunch menu. We had the kung pao chicken and deep fried spicy shrimp. Delicious. A bit batter heavy as expected on the shrimp but still good. It’s not great but its pretty good.

The only reason why I pay a premium to order the seafood jjajangmyun(black bean noodles) at a Korean-Chinese restaurant is so that I can enjoy the soft, supple, slippery goodness of the sea cucumber… But when I received my bowl, I discovered that there was no sea cucumber. This was the first time I’ve seen seafood jjajangmyun without sea cucumber and in its place, there were filets of fish… While the rest of this dish was not bad, I could not overlook this huge disappointment! I will have to go to another place for my sea cucumber needs. Fortunately, there are plenty of places around here…

Came here with a party of 40+. We had made reservations with set orders. The interior ambience was light and warming. Food came out relatively quick. We started with the Mongolian beef(3 stars). Nothing special to note. Next came their spicy fried chicken(3 stars). Nothing special again. Then came their sweet and sour fish(4 stars). The fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with a great sauce. Interestingly, their sweet and sour beef came with sauce on the side. Go figure. My favorite was their ja jjang myeon(black bean paste noodles)(5 stars). The noodles had great texture and their sauce was excellent. Their kimchee was very good as well. If I was to compare this restaurant to Peking Gourmet, I enjoyed the interior much better than Peking. But Peking’s food is overall superior except their ja jjang myeon. Overall, a decent place to get your Korean-Chinese food fix.

I was a bit skeptical about there being good Chinese food in Anaheim, considering I typically hit up SGV for this type of cuisine! To my surprise, this place is super good and still really authentic! Well, besides the fact that its clean ;) ha… and healthier??? Portions are pretty good sized and the food is actually really tasty. We tried at least one dish per type of meat(pork, beef, chicken, fish, etc.), including: sweet ‘n sour pork, orange chicken, steamed fish, beef chow mein, roast duck, honey walnut shrimp, etc. The fried rice was surprisingly good, but I’d definitely say the best dish was the sweet ‘n sour pork — everyone at our table loved it and devoured it almost immediately! They have all of the classic Chinese dishes AND more! The menu is very extensive. Despite the fact that my friend picked up the bill, I know this place is definitely more expensive than your average seafood restaurant in Rowland Heights. Also, some Chinese people still probably wouldn’t like this place, considering it’s not as greasy as the authentic Chinese food we’re used to. But… seeing as how I’m kind of a «twinkie» at heart, I would say this place is pretty good in my book! It’s also a great place to have an event at, considering they have an extra ballroom dedicated to catering events and it’s very private! Plus, they even have a slideshow set-up, so it’s ready to go for pretty much any occasion!

I grew up in Costa Mesa and it was a two horse town in terms of Chinese food, Golden Dragon on Harbor by 19th street and the place behind 7 – 11 on Harbor and Mesa Verde. So I was curious when I saw this big established looking place, oil change at Toyota made for the perfect excuse to walk over, since oil changes take 1.5 hours… Ordered the egg rolls(sorry) Hot and Sour soup Dumplings(steamed) Noodles with gravy(Chachiang Mein) Soup was my favorite the dumplings were not my favorite steamed– I will get pan fried or deep fried next time egg rolls were veggie only and all the stuff came out first bite of each Noodles with Gravy was interesting– I just don’t know that it was exciting enough to order twice Kimchi was kimchi… The waitress armed up to me after I ate all the food mentioned above in its entirety.
