Went in at 8:30pm — dude who was working there exuded rudeness — we decided to move on to the next Biggby — don’t know what the dude’s problem was, but we even gave him an out — tried to be extra courteous — but if you are going to be a jerk to my wife, we will be bypassing your Biggby from now on

This is a terrific coffee joint. It’s calm and peaceful, the staff is friendly, and the coffee and drinks are terrific. I really like this place.

I finally found the right one, I had to look at the receipt… there are so many locations now a days!!! Get your Michigan Coffee Fix right here. First and foremost… I live in San Diego, but I was born and raised in Michigan and I am a Michigander at heart… I love finding things when I come to visit. I used to live in the south-eastern part of MI until 2006 of August… and that is when I moved to San Diego. There was a coffee shop called Beaners in Monroe and it closed down since then, beaners became Biggby… So I have visited a lot of Bigbbys, over the years… I love their concoctions and I love their names, I mean come on Teddy Bear, Butter Bear, and Sugar Bear… So as I am driving to Chicago, IL for corporate meetings and before I wave good-bye to Michigan I have to get one last Biggby before I go. So I ordered a Neapolitan, bought a black mug with biggby on it, and a bag of Michigan Cherry Beans. I just started to drink that coffee this Monday. It taste really good with some cream and some Milano form Petridge Farms. Good location, Good service, Strong coffee!

This joint is a-ok. It’s in a cute building that looks a little house-like. It’s a little bit of a pain when you’re trying to turn left there since the Stadium/Maple split mucks up the works but if you come back through the side streets it’s not so bad. They also have a nice little patio for sitting and getting fresh air while enjoying your beverages. Aside from that it’s not that much different than your run of the mill Biggby. The staff here is nice although not as chatty as other locations. Depending on my mood I either miss it or am grateful to not have to make small talk. Whenever I come in I usually end up spending a few hours working and they never seem to mind that I hang for so long. My main complaint for Biggby’s in general, now that I’ve spent my fair share at a few, is the lack of food options. It’s basically carb heavy – scones, muffins, bagels and doughnuts. And candy bars. Sometimes I’d like something salty, or a sandwich, to go with my beverage. Most of the concoctions here are very sweet, made with mixes of chocolate, caramel, marshmallow and more so more salty options to balance that out would be welcome.

I’m a huge fan of the iced chai tea. It’s sweetened with honey instead of syrups like some competitors. Sign up for their rewards program – they’re always sending out drink specials via email.

I needed coffee before I went to church… since Biggby was on my way… I stopped by… if you aren’t careful you can miss the place. I was second in line… there was someone in front of me and I waited for over 15 minutes as the man was flirting with the cashier and sadly, the lady was flirting back… yeah… this went on for 15 minutes and by the time it ended, the line was 6 people long! As for the latte, it was ok… it didn’t wow me… not sure if the staff were new, but seemed like seemed little overwhelmed… Since it’s on my way to church, I will probably stop by again…

Updating my rating because not all of the baristas are apparently super friendly… Grumpy blonde working behind the counter seemed immediately annoyed with me, slammed(almost out of my reach…) my loyalty card and credit card on the counter after ringing up my order, and on top of that got my order wrong. Not really a fan of getting charged $ 5 for the wrong drink… But the brunette barista saved the day after I told her I actually ordered my latte iced. She responded in a friendly manner with an «Oh, we can do that for you!» like it was no problem at all. Hence why this place still gets 3 stars. The music is a little loud, and I’m not a fan of the selection. But hey, the wifi is free, and I’m stuck here for a few hours waiting for my car to be repaired down the street.

My friend had food poisoning after getting one of their mixed coffee drinks. Mine tasted strange. We think they used expired milk or something. Had not gone back since.

Well tonight we found it! What did we find? Definitively the worst cup of coffee we have ever been served. I ordered a medium non-fat latte and a medium decaf mocha and paid $ 9.05. Tasteless, both drinks totally devoid of taste and mine(the latte) was Luke warm. Took one sip each and then returned to the barista and requested a refund — he is not authorized to give a refund, the manager was not on duty and he had no contact info for her(and I am supposed to believe that?). Awful, absolutely awful experience. He offered to remake the drinks but we declined, once bitten twice shy.

I much prefer Biggby to Starbucks, in part because the former was founded by Michigan residents. But the biggest bonus of hitting up Biggby in the morning is the staff and service. No matter how busy, when I show up, or what the weather is like, the staff at this Biggby location are friendly, courteous, patient, and always strike up a conversation. If coffee helps me wake up, visiting this Biggby helps me feel alive.

Great little coffee shop, LOTS of choices. I felt like maybe I didn’t need as many choices as were offered. Also the drinks were very very sweet. They do have some great artwork. Duct tape paintings were hanging when I was there last. I would go there more often if the drinks didn’t taste so sweet. Black coffee is just fine though!

I just discovered Biggby Coffee, and I’m a little bit obsessed. What I like: The drinks! The caramel mocha is smooth and light. Other places make mochas that taste like hot chocolate or that make you feel like you’ve eaten a giant piece of chocolate afterwards. I’ve had the brewed coffee, the butterbear and a handful of other drinks… and I loved them all. For the kids, they have flavored lemonades and smoothie-like options, too. And, they don’t carry donuts, which eliminates the kiddos begging for sugar during the visit. What I don’t like: The menu is crazy huge. I had to go inside and get an actual booklet of drinks to understand the choices. You can’t just order a drink here. «Do you want it hot, iced or frozen?» I feel if I wanted it iced or frozen, I would have said so. «Three or four shots?» Again, if I wanted extra shots, I would have asked for them. I walk away feeling as if they are trying to upsell me, not really get me the drink of my dreams. At this location in particular, parking and getting out can be tricky. It’s a sad little strip mall. Heck, it’s too small to even be considered a strip mall! But, the staff is super friendly, so I’ll continue to shell out $ 5+ for my mocha and be on my way.

They make a mean cup of soy chai latte(on the sweet side) so I’m a fan! Service was quick and friendly. Will be back if I’m ever in the area.

I’ve been to more than a half dozen Biggbys across the state and this location is one of my favorites. Perhaps that’s because it’s just around the corner from my home :-) But the staff is always friendly and helpful, the drinks are always delicious, and the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming… what more could I ask for? Well, a few comfy chairs, for one. The chairs and tables they currently have are fine for working at a computer or chatting with a friend, but not so cozy for curling up to read a book or just relax. Also, I’d love for the heat to be turned up… I’m always cold, but I’m not the only one in there wearing a coat in the wintertime.

I rank Biggby along with Starbucks and Caribou – inoffensive, very standard coffee stores with a regimented, chain-like feel. I believe Biggby is a Michigan company, however, which is always a plus. Aesthetically and environmentally, this particular location is less-than-ideal for me – it’s in a strip mall near the very busy intersection of W Stadium and Jackson. The energy is just a little too flat and harried at the same time. However… This place just opened recently so it’s very clean and very bright-feeling. The also have a nice little brick patio on the side that is actually shaded by trees, so you could almost feel like you weren’t sitting next to a 5 lane road. I was treated to a very warm and friendly greeting when I came inside and was surprised by how roomy the place is and how many tables and chairs are available – the small store front is deceiving! The music was bland, top 40 fare from the early aughts – fairly easy to ignore if you’re reading or studying, but also annoying at times. I’d much prefer jazz or classical or something that sank into the background more. This would be a great place to study off campus and it’ll be interesting to see how quickly it catches on with students who live on the west side of town and don’t feel like braving the downtown crowds. My iced coffee was perfectly acceptable and I had a pleasant time taking a break from my day and reading here for half an hour on a rainy Monday afternoon. I say check it out!

If you’re looking for a coffee shop where the baristas are friendly and fun, and you’d like to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather while getting your caffeine fix, this is the place! Jeannine runs a tight ship, so if you’re dissatisfied with the service or product, just speak up!
