All of these negative reviews are from years ago. I stayed here from May 12 – 15, 2015 and I had a positive experience. Check-in wasn’t until 3pm but I made it to to Ann Arbor around 11:30am and I called the hotel to ask if I can come in sooner. Luckily, the associate said that they would give it a quick spot check to make sure the room was in order, but otherwise, I was welcome to come in early. The room was clean, spacious and all of the lamps/lights worked. There was large desk for me to get some paperwork finished and the wifi connected well. It also had a full service kitchen with a fridge, freezer, stove, oven and sink. The only criticism I have is that there was only one wastebasket in the entire room. So whenever I needed to throw something away, I had to keep getting up and walk to the bathroom. The trash filled up quickly and when I went down to the desk to ask if housekeeping can come change it, the associate told me that each floor has its own trash room so guests can empty thier own garbage. He offered me a new bag but I didnt want to deal with it. All in all, this is a safe and friendly hotel to stay in. I got a good deal on hotwire for $ 52/night.

This place is disgusting!!! The bed was so hard, it was like sleeping on a concrete floor. A body doesn’t even make a dent in it! No tissues or extra toilet paper in bathroom, towels were small and scratchy and thin. It just felt dirty all over. Spots on the couch were very suspicious. And if you are unfortunate enough to have to stay here, be sure you don’t leave anything behind, because they will not send it to you. And they don’t care if you are willing to pay the postage or shipping or how far away you are. If you want your belongings back, you have to pick them up. Ridiculous! I never heard of such a thing. Almost any place is better than this.

staying here now but not for long! Have had to move into a different room 2 times. First was due to a leak in the roof(hole in ceiling when I moved in should have clued me in). Second was because the lock broke on the door and no repairs are done on the weekend. Now in my third room and woke up this morning with bed bug bites all over my legs. I will be checking out and complaining.

Okay, so this time they must have seen me coming because I got a nice room on the top floor and it was actually comfortable. My front desk experience was even a little better this time(and the same people were working). I wish I could say the same thing for my colleagues. Both of them were in different rooms on the first floor and one of them had to have his room switched. Apparently there was a plumbing issue because he walked in and saw the toilet turned over and tools scattered around the bathroom. Oh well. Maybe next time(although I hope there isn’t a next time here).

I worked there for a year while I was attending the University of Michigan. It is a small hotel that is part of the Extended Stay hotel chain, but is geared for the business traveler. Because it is so close to the University, this hotel is always busy and booked because of various conferences. During the football season, pretty much every hotel is crazy packed, but you may can find room here because not many people know about it. The rates are comparative and slightly cheaper than the Marriots or Courtyards in the area. The rooms are a decent size for one or two people. I definitely wouldn’t suggest having four people in a room, although on occasions we would have families rent rooms out because of house problems(fires and such).
