Golden Basket Restaurant

I absolutely love Golden Basket. It’s your typical Greek diner — a menu full of pages and pages of food items, including breakfast all day! You’ll always have great service and never leave hungry. If you have room, get the strawberry shortcake. I practically grew up on that stuff. This place is nothing fancy but you’ll get a lot for your money.

Food was «OK». Frustrated with the processed cheese on the hash browns. We’re in Wisconsin, bring on the real stuff! :-)
Bunch of old guys were at the counter swearing up a storm in front of my 6 year old. I don’t blame Golden Basket but it made the dining experience frustrating.
Not sure I would come back. Meh.

Absolutely love this place, have been going there for nearly 5 years now and don’t have a single complaint. Try to get there at least once a week for breakfast. The food is awesome and the prices are more than reasonable, especially given the huge portions. Even if we haven’t been there for awhile, we are instantly recognized and welcomed. The owners and waitstaff are super-​friendly and make us feel like family. Personally I think if anyone is complaining about this place, they are probably snooty, high-​maintenance people!

Great place for all day breakfast! Even open on all major holidays. A Christmas Day tradition for me and my parents!

Great food at a great price. The service is always good even when it is busy.

I am writing this on behalf of my fiancée, who recently went here with her family.
upon arriving, they were seated and given bread and cracker baskets fit for three people, when it was a table of eleven. She ordered the country fried steak, which had a very thick «bubble» of rawness between the meat and batter. she also ordered mozzarella sticks, which for some reason came with a side of chili instead of dipping sauce. her sister ordered a burger, which was a bland chunk of meat on some bread. everyone’s potatoes tasted like cafeteria food, from a can. someone ordered hot tea and just got some hot water with a tea bag. her mother ordered a steak, which was a small hunk of meat riddled with fat. the children all ordered hot cocoa, which the menu proclaimed came with one free refill. the waitress refused to honor it. in the end, everyone felt sick, and my girlfriend has already thrown up once. she questioned if the chili had pork, which makes her very sick when she eats it. she claims it’s the worst food she has ever had in her life.
I’m glad she didn’t bring me any food from this place. it sounds nasty, and I will personally never visit this place. if I could post no stars, or even negative stars, I would. do not go here if you do not want undercooked, over processed food that makes you sick.

I love to eat here. I always get a big hello, friendly welcome. My wife and kids get a sandwich, fries and a bowl of soup for $ 4.75 to $ 5.85. I love the breakfast all day long.

For what it is, Golden Basket is a great, affordable dining experience. You can get soup, a sandwich, and fries for under $ 6. Not the best diner food I’ve had but decent.
