This is our new go-to place to eat, and for good reason. the food is great and the service is always friendly. I haven’t has a bad meal here yet. My boyfriend and I normally stick to our usual breakfast(pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, and hashbrowns) but today we got lunch. He got the California burger and fries… and I got the French dip with fries. I’ve got to say that they make a mean French dip. it was so so so good. it’s my new favorite thing(:

Great food with reasonable prices. You definitely won’t leave hungry. I only order the breakfast here but I’m sure the lunch and dinner menu items are just as good.

Quaint little diner. I’ve only been here for breakfast, but its basically a mom & pop version of Denny’s. Cute waitresses, good service, decent prices. I keep coming back.

What the what?! A mom and pop little dinner with free wifi? Yes, please. Came in early and ordered a simple breakfast — two eggs over easy, bacon, hash browns and white toast with coffee. And that’s exactly what I got. Clean décor, fast service and did I mention the free wifi? Great for road trippers like me who needed to get some quick info on local haunts around the area. The only weird downside to this little area(which is by no means any reflection on the restaurant itself, just an observation) was the high number of panhandlers within spitting distance of this little plaza. I counted five separate groups of people that I could easily spot from just outside the restaurant of people asking for hand-outs.

Pretty much what you’d expect — a big menu, breakfast all day. It was clean, nice staff, and surprisingly good food. All four people who ate there were pleasantly surprised with the size and taste.

The old saying holds true: «Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.» I was in town visiting with family on an RV trip and was reluctant to come here for dinner since it looked a lot like Denny’s. I was so happy that I was quickly proven wrong as soon as we walked through their doors. Nicole(one of the best waitresses I have encountered) was welcoming and very attentive. Everything we ate was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Bravo to the entire team. Keep up the great work.

This is a decent family run greasy spoon diner that kind of reminds me of an old I-Hop on the inside, with a really good breakfast that offers lots of choices, and fast friendly service. Even on a busy Sunday morning, we were met and seated almost immediately. Our waiter was literally serving the whole dining room and was pretty much running the entire time we were there. He never once neglected us, made sure my coffee was refilled regularly and checked on our table every pass he made through. I ordered a couple eggs over easy with hash browns, bacon and biscuits with gravy and my wife the french toast. Both meals were well prepared, my eggs perfect for over easy and all in all a really good breakfast. The prices are competitive to cheap by most breakfast diner standards. It’s usually always busy and turns over quickly. Well worth it to visit and one of the better breakfast choices around the area. 3.5 stars — rounded up for the great customer service. 289

Good food that was served hot, excellent service, and the price is perfect for the portion you get. The people working here are quick to serve and makes sure your drinks are topped off while you wait & dine. Left here feeling full and satisfied. I will definitely stop by again.

Denny’s but with terrible coffee. Good was just okay. Not terrible, but not very good either. Servers were wearing way too much cheap obnoxious perfume. But, the place was busy, so some people like it. I didn’t. I would recommend not eating here. No photos taken.

Three stars for a satisfactory experience. My waffle was better than expected but syrup was served in two small plastic cups. The staff were nice and friendly and quickly took our order, filled our coffee and so forth. Again, you expect better service than food at these types of dinners and this place delivers on that. Not extraordinary but a good dinner. Thanks!

Great home style food! This restaurant was near our hotel & was a present surprise! My chicken fried steak was delicious & tender, it came with chicken & dumpling soup. The soup was a meal in itself. My wife had a roast beef sandwich with a dipping sauce. She said it was great! The waitress was very friendly & made us feel very welcome. After a not so great experience at another restaurant, this was a welcome experience.

For cafeteria style food they actually do it pretty well. The menu is generic, with all the basics present. The service have always been prompt, the servers always pleasant & I’ve never had one who failed to keep my coffee cup full. I don’t think I would ever recommend this restaurant to out of towners, but if you’re looking for a quick meal in a casual atmosphere with good service & mediocre food then this is the place for you!

We where cold and hungry, the service was quick and friendly. The food was very good the portions where plenty.(And I’m an eater) restrooms where clean(I believe clean restrooms reflect a clean kitchen). Good old fashion simple coffee shop food we will stop again.

Hot food & coffee, friendly quick service. Otherwise nothing special– similar to a «Denny’s «style. If you want warm breakfast to get you going — village pantry is a good start

Kind of like Denney’s used to be. Regular food with local people and local radio. Nothing fancy, not pretending to be anything but what it is. Friendly servers who have likely seen it all. Easy walk from the hotel district.

Village Pantry was conveniently located just down the street from our most illustrious Motel 6. It is a coffee shop modeled in the style of a Denny’s. The exterior is attractive and the interior is roomy with plenty of comfortable seating. All the employees seemed very friendly and pleasant. Unfortunately, I am food challenged these days. I am on a low sodium diet and am also on a low Fodmap diet(Fermentable Oligo-Di-Monosaccharides and Polyols) so I have a ridiculous amount of food restrictions. I can’t have wheat, beans, dairy, onions, garlic, corn syrup, honey, artificial sweetener, pitted fruit including avocados, and certain vegetables like broccoli and asparagus. I also am on cumadin so I cannot have grapefruit or cranberries. Anyway, the waitress was very accommodating and I was able to have a cheese omelet with Swiss cheese(Swiss cheese is low in sodium) and extra hash browns instead of toast. My food was cooked to perfection.

We almost died through a blizzard on our way up here to Arcata so, food is pretty important at this point. Anyway, today the place gets one star because we went have breakfast and the cook had not arrived yet. I have to give it 1 star based on that, but if I go tomorrow, I will write another review. Cook! I was hungry for breakfast!!!
