Better Indian food than there should be on the Main Line, Kabob & Grill Indian Cusine offers above average Indian food bordering on greatness. I’ll be the first to admit I don’t know a whole lot about Indian food, and I don’t have it too often due to that ignorance. But I walked out of Kabob & Grill Indian Cuisine very satisfied with what I had and eager to try more of the menu. One of the best parts of Kabob & Grill is the online ordering — I love a well thought out and robust ordering system, either through the website or through the Unilocal24 app. It’s a small hole-in-the wall with some tables and modest décor. But enough about that let’s talk food — my girlfriend and I ordered the Tandoori Chicken($ 13), marinated in fresh spices and cooked in clay oven with onion, peppers and basmati Rice, the Chana Massala($ 11), chickpeas simmered in a tomato-onion gravy and flavored with spices and basmati rice on the side, and the Mango Lassi($ 2), a mango flavored yogurt drink. Some reviewers complained about serving size, but for what we got it was perfect for two people. The tandoori chicken was flavorful but a little dry in some pieces of chicken(overall it was still delicious). The chana massala was my favorite, cooked hot and served with a side of rice, the chickpeas were bursting in flavor in the tomato-onion gravy. The mango lassi is an acquired taste I think — it had the consistency of a milk shake but tasted by a mild yogurt. IT would be perfect for super spicy Indian food(we ordered mild, which had no spice), but I doubt I would order this again. Overall, I really enjoyed Kabob & Grill Indian Cuisine and I’m eager to try every item on the menu. I’ll be back and you should go too.

A small and away location from the busier part of Ardmore. I eaten two lunches there from their lunch menu — the lentil soup, curried lamb were delicious. Service was accommodating. Definitely the best Indian meal for the money. Will go back often.

Absolutely amazing food. I tried both the Tandoori Chicken and the Chicken Tikki Masala and they were both extremely flavorful and delicious. I’ve been to many Indian places and I can sincerely say that this is likely the best that I’ve been to.

Kabob and Grill has been a family favorite for 2 years. Sauces to rave about! Really one of a kind. Friendly service and kitchen staff — I have no complaints. Online ordering for take out and an intimate dining room. Great for business lunch. BYOB dinner. Order the ice cream! It’s home made and really lovely. Overlooked by most I get it every time.

I have been frequenting this place for few months here. I admit i am hooked to the mouth watering taste of their kabobs. The place is v small and not much for dine in but I am willing to compromise on that for their succulent kabobs. I don’t like the biryani much. The curries are good, nothing to complain but they could do better.

Well made, tasty, good portion sizes, ready for pickup on time. Many more offerings than Tiffin, our previous go to in Wynnewood. «Medium» spice level might be a bit hotter than some are accustomed to.

This Indian restaurant is as good if not better than most of the main line restaurants of its ilk. I suspect that it is not more widely known either because of its admittedly odd name or more likely its off the beaten path location. Nonetheless, the food is well prepared and the quality is top notch. Drop what you’re doing and go now.

had no idea this place was here but I am SO happy that it is! I love Indian food and this place is absolutely awesome. It’s the perfect little hole in the wall place. I came by myself, ate in, and felt right at home. great service and delicious food. I had the Chana masala. they offer what seems like an excellent lunch special that I will definitely be back for.

A hole in the wall place… was here one Thu night when one of our friend recommended this place for good grill food and they had BYOB. A small restaurant with few tables does not look lavish or onset but the food blew out our expectations. We ordered the tandoori platter and Lamb Bihari Kabob, Malai Kofta and few breads. The Lamb Bihari Kabob was tender and melting in the mouth. One of the finest tandoori I have eaten so far and make me to go again there. The Breads were fresh and did not feel like store purchased and reheated one. The Malai Kofta was not like the regular one or the ones that I have eaten in other Indian restaurants elsewhere. very different and delicious. I have not tried their rice items and will go there again to taste it out. Heard they are opening one more in Montgomery Ave… Way to go!

This 4 stars are for food. I tried their chicken kadai and it was one of the best chicken kadai i ever had. Naan is also very good. Haven’t tried other items, which I am going to, hoping to nit get dissatisfied. But the place is small to sit so better take out.

This is one of my favorite local Indian places. Ekta in Bryn Mawr is probably my favorite, but I love that I can order online here. I always get something different and almost everything has been fantastic. My standout favorites were the lamb banjara and lamb kadai for entrees, and I love the special chaat appetizers. My husband always orders the chicken tikka masala(yawn!) but he loves it. I’ve tried it, and it is tasty. The naan is great too! The only ones I haven’t really enjoyed as much were the shrimp coconut curry and chicken korma. They were kind of bland. It’s a little expensive but it IS the Main Line. The takeout portion sizes are large! I just recently saw they’re opening a new location in Bala Cynwyd.

I am a huge fan of Indian food and the food here was awesome. I like EKTA better, but I still loved my meal here. The waiter also doubled as the receptionist and took over the phone take out orders which means we had a long wait between the end of our meal and getting our check. I also feel like the spice level was not there in my Kadai Paneer. I love a little kick and this version was almost sweet. Still good and would recommend.

This isn’t even the best Indian food on the Main Line, and it is certainly below standard for the Philly area. I ordered Mattar Paneer and Gulab Jamun. The basmati rice was mushy, wet, and overcooked. The sauce for the Mattar Paneer was bland, lacking any spice. The Gulab Jamun was all right, but a bit too heavy on the cardamom. Cardamom overwhelmed all the other flavors. I expected better, especially for the price.

Hands down best Indian food around. I have ran past this tiny storefront dozens of time and the name always threw me off. When I Unilocaled looking for Indian food, this place came up. I am so happy we found our new go-to Indian restaurant. We have gotten food from here a few times, and I have never been unhappy. Pro’s –Food is amazing –BYOB –Excellent take-out and portion sizes Con’s –super tiny inside and limited seating. Do not walk in and expect a seat. You can make a reservation, or call ahead to see if any spots are available. But best for take-out.

I’ve had three meals there over the past few months and never been disappointed. The food is excellent and service very good. On my last meal, I brought a friend who had lived in Pakistan for decades to get his reaction. He loved it. I’ve stayed with curries of various degrees of spice, all were excellent. Parking is easy.
