The Best Mexican food I have ever had!!! My boyfriend wanted to take me for some time and it was such a little hole in the wall I didn’t want to go. But he talked my into the All you can eat lunch buffet and I am so glad he did. This is not anything like a chain, this is authentic Mexican food. All the food is homemade and fresh. I have never like enchilada red sauce as it tastes like chili to me but the Bigote’s sauce is yummy. Their tacos are not greasy and you can taste the meat. The staff and owners are always so friendly and the food is out fast! It is like eating with family!

My wife and I came here last Friday morning for breakfast and she wanted some menudo. We’ve been here before for lunch and it’s been very good so we figured we’d try their breakfast. We were very disappointed!!! Their menudo was terrible, it was not red in color like it should be, was very discolored, and it had too much fat and wasn’t very edible. My wife ate a couple of spoonfuls and that was all she could take. Obviously, we WON’T be coming here for breakfast anymore. The 1 star given is for their breakfast. Like I said, we’ve been here for lunch several times and that has always been good.

GREAT food and very reasonable prices. All you can eat for around $ 7. The quality is good, and it’s FRESH! … This place is not fancy at all, but if you’re looking for a good place to eat that you will want to go back to it is worth the effort to search it out. You won’t be disappointed.

With the ongoing construction right in front of this place, it’s a wonder they stay in business, but, behold… it’s lunchtime and they’re packed! I’ve been here twice now and it’s been very good both times! What Bigotes lacks in ambience, décor and convenience, they more than make up for in great, authentic Mexican food and friendly, efficient service. Seven bucks gets all-you-can-eat cheese enchiladas, beef tacos and chalupas. The chips are thick and overcooked for my taste. The salsa is good, not great. But everything else is fantastic. I’m as much a fan of the popular Mexican chains like Abuelo’s and Uncle Julio’s as the next guy, but I’ve also held to the notion that if you want authentic Mexican food then eat where authentic Mexicans eat.(FYI, I’m the only gringo in the place.) You may drive by it a few times before you actually find it but its very much worth it.

Bigotes is a whole in the wall with quick, authentic Mexican food. The buffet is worth the price. It’s been here a long time. Give it a try. During the week, you get 2 cheese enchiladas, 2 tacos and a chalupa or 3 tacos, rice & beans. Weekday $ 6.85. Weekends $ 7.85.

Tried this place on my lunch break, had not ever been there before, walked in there was two parties at the counter checking out and the owner in the kitchen moving dishes around, I received no greeting, stood there for about five minutes and finally step over near the kitchen and asked the owner do I seat myself, I’ve never been here before, he replied yes in an abrupt tone, he and the waitress continued to walk around me and again I asked the owner if he could clean one of the tables off, he took his time in doing so, the waitress never said anything about drinks once he finally cleaned the table off, so the owner asked me what I wanted to drink, and I ordered with him since the waitress kept walking over me, he was rude and sarcastic, I told him I want the taco special, no enchiladas and he says, what kind of tacos, I said crispy beef, he said it comes with enchiladas, and said I don’t want them, so he laughed a smirk laugh and asked three times so you want the special, so I didn’t answer and just looked at him, he brought me three tacos with no rice and beans, I told him I asked for the special, he says, I thought you said you only wanted the tacos, clearly he wasn’t paying any attention to what i was saying because he was being an asshole, they never once came to my table and asked me if I was doing okay, or needed anything, I had to ask for napkins. Everyone that came in atfer me, was greeted, they were checked on often and their food was promptly delivered, not to mention the HORRIBLESERVICE, but this hole in the wall trap isn’t big as a sunday school classroom, everyone is sitting right up under each other. I don’t wanna go this route, but this is what I detected, they obviously do not like black people, because it was nothing but old white men, and middle aged white men and four white arlington police officers in there and they were kissing all their asses, bringing their food out very promptly, I did not do anything to these people, but this is my first and last time coming here, one would think the owner would made the first experience a pleasant one, rude bastard! I’m all about customer service, I was complacenting leaving, but they had already wasted fifteen minutes of my lunch time.

If your not looking for it you will miss it. It’s right next to a tire repair shop. Here what you must know about Mexican food… the best places are small little places where someone’s grandma has been making fresh tortillas for years… and this is one of those places… it’s small… very modest but it was perfect for me since I was looking for breakfast at noon on a Saturday. Great food and price.

Although this place was pretty full, the food was just ok. It was more of a Tex-mex type. Coming from EP I was expecting more flavor but it just didn’t deliver. Don’t think I’ll be back but then again I don’t usually travel here. Was just here for the Niner game.

Quaint and homely, this Mexican Restraunt has affordable prices for some pretty tasty food. I had the«All you can eat» platter, serving a whopping amount of food– 2 enchiladas, 2 tacos, a chalupa, and rice and beans! I somehow(almost regrettably) managed to order a second plate and left uncomfortably full, but satisfied. The staff was very friendly, the décor was a bit drab, and the entire Restraunt was about the size of an elementary classroom, but all in all, it was a good meal and place I’d return to! :)

If you aren’t looking for it you’ll pass it up… big mistake if you do, this place is awesome! I’m not sure why we go to {insert chain name here} when Bigotes is so close. The restaurant is small and nondescript. My friend asked if it was safe to get out of the car(I laughed at him for this, btw). The staff is courteous, but not overly so and you have basically one choice for a meal: AYCE lunch. Now, I couldn’t even eat half of what was presented to me, let alone more… For $ 10 including a lemonade and tip this is a great lunch deal. The tacos, which I don’t normally like, we’re pretty good and covered in gobs or shredded cheese. The enchilada sauce was a mix or chili con carne and red sauce. I didn’t care for the beans or tostada… Nothing wrong per se just my preference.

You know a place is a gem when its been flourishing in the worst part of town since the 1980’s. My dad and i discovered this place when we first moved to Texas and it was instantly a family favorite. The owner– Frank greets us by name and they still have one of the two original waitresses from my first visit. Weekend menudo and barbacoa are unparalleled in Arlington– I just wish they still made homemade tortillas like they did back in the day. A few tips for you– 1.The sweet tea and lemonade is amazing– both are homemade and those are the only drinks you get free refills on– the sodas are in bottles or cans. (woohoo for Coca Mexicana!) 2. Ask for Salsa Ranchera if you want something spicier than the table salsa. 3. The lunch special is perfect for those days where you are famished– 2 cheese enchiladas, 2 crunchy beef tacos, 1 tostada, rice and beans. you don’t have to finish your plate to get refills as long as you ate what you order(example you ate the tacos but not the enchiladas and you want more tacos they are happy to oblige– even better if you tell them up front you can sub any of the items for ones you don’t want.

Bigotes serves up some pretty good mexican food. I had been constantly enticed by their giant sign which reads«$ 6.85 All-You-Can-Eat Lunch Special». For a big eater like me, those are some of my favorite words. The food tasted great, but it wasn’t super special. I did, however, thoroughly enjoyed the cheesiness on everything! A second giant plate was more than enough to keep me satisfied until a light dinner later. The $ 8.40 price was good compared to most places(6.85 + 0.55 tax + 1.00 tip), but you could go down the street to El Ahorro supermarket and get a huge 2 meat combo for $ 5 +tax. Bigotes is a treat for a super hungry tex-mex seeker. Don’t forget about El Ahorro for a cheaper, smaller, different alternative!
