I’ll give this place one star because my server, Kelly, was great. Other than that this has got to be one of the worst dining experiences since I can’t remember when. I ordered the «Spasagna» a dish basically described as lasagna made with spaghetti noodles instead of traditional lasagna ones. Seemed pretty straightforward, or so I thought. The dish, ($ 9.49 before tax) came out & the noodles were drastically overcooked & gummy. I couldn’t eat but a few bites it was so nasty. I pushed it aside & my server picked it up after I informed her of my displeasure & she brought me my check. I paid & asked to speak with a manager, who I spoke with at length & also the kitchen manager. I was never offered either a refund or a raincheck. Very disappointing all around, will definitely not be going back. I expect my food to be satisfactory & if not & I bring it to your attention, an attempt to make reparations.

I’ve been to Cheddars several times and I can say they have the best prices around. Now here’s the run down on the food…
The Ribs – Sauce is sweet and tangy, very good. Meat is very tender. But very stingy with the meat
Steak– Very average flavor, nothing special.
Grilled Shrimp-Well seasoned, cooked perfectly.
Fried Shrimp– Good size, Subtle flavor.
Cheese Broccoli Casserole– Great! Lots of cheese, broccoli cooked perfectly.
Loaded Mash Potatos– Blah

We had Matthew as a waiter! He was wonderful and attentive, and gave us everything we needed. He was also funny and observant, eventually getting comfortable and making subtle jokes that we really enjoyed. I went with my sisters, niece, and husband. I wish I wasn’t going out of the country, or I would come back and specifically ask for him. As someone who worked in the kitchen in Cheddars, I saw that they sacrificed to give better ingredients than the one I worked at in North Dallas. The portions are smaller, but the quality of food is worth it. I commend their kitchen staff as well as the management for having such hospitable, genuine people in their employ. :-)

I would love to put no stars but i can not. Some friends and i had gone to this restaurant because they love it and i had never been. Very shortly into our meal my girlfriend found a nail and plastic piece in her cajan pasta. The waiter rushes to take the nail away from us and sends the chef out whos name is billy something i dont remember. He promptly told us he was sorry but did not act very surprised or concerned for that matter. The check came and they had only taken off her meal, i was not going to eat anything after i saw the nail and i had maybe 3 bites. I am not a confrontational person but i was appalled; so billy came out again and questions me about my level of squeamishness! I was very angry and he just gave me attitude. Poor taste. Poor management. Never again.
