Paisano’s Pizza

While I had good experiences in the past, I will NEVER order from here again. Last delivery didn’t have everything I ordered and no attempt was ever made to refund what didn’t arrive or fix the issue. ZERO customer service!

What happen, they must have changed management because delivery has gotten worse 45 mins now to 1.5 hours — poor customer service and drivers play the card that they don’t have change–

LOVE this place!!! Always friendly on the phone, always deliver our order quicker than expected (even in snow and other weather) and always delicious. We order from there once a month at least!

Slow delivery and well outside of the estimates given. Took them an hour and a half to deliver two gyros. When I called them after the 45 minute mark (was supposed to be delivered within 40 minutes and we do not live far), I was told it was on the way. I surmise they actually forgot our order.
Updated — finally spoke with the management. They indicated there was a problem with their system and an employee «got into an altercation.» Not sure what that means or why the staff did not simply tell me is the first time I spoke with them. It’s great that they offered me 20% off my next order, but I am not sure I’ll order from here again. I will give three stars, since the sandwiches were good and they offered to try to fix the problem.

This was one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. Greasy and loaded with salt. I had worried after reading the reviews about the order/​delivery process. Had no problem with ordering on the internet, the delivery guy followed my instructions about having to go around to the back of the house and the pizza got here quickly and unharmed. I was not expecting a great pizza but what I got was really disappointing.

I ordered a mushroom, onion and green pepper calzone. I am NOT a fan of any restaurant that uses canned mushrooms. If they switch to all fresh ingredients, I might give it a second try being that it wasn’t bad except for the stated mushroom issue.

I am embarrassed to say, but I order from here 1 – 3 times per week. I LOVE that the pizza comes with the option to make it thin crust because it makes it that much better! I will order pizza, steak and cheese, subs, fries, strombolis, buffalo chicken salads, etc. I could eat here everyday!

DO get the gyros salad or the Greek salad with grilled chicken. DON’T bother with the garlic knots (free or otherwise). I love garlic bread as much as the next person but this is just ok. Definitely don’t skip pizza for sandwiches. Our favorite is pepperoni & Jalapeño. 4 stars!!!

The eggplant parmesan was soggy and very small proportions. Highly disappointed with the bread which seems like a day old at best.

We love Paisano’s for delivery. Their food is consistently good. We just discovered their pizza with roasted garlic, red peppers, and Italian sausage. Their sandwiches and burgers are also really good and great value. Delivery to Alexandria is really fast too with friendly drivers!

Awesome. Period. Recommend thin crust! And prices are a little cheaper if you choose pick up instead of delivery.

I ordered delivery from this restaurant for the first time today. My pizza was really good and the delivery came earlier than expected. The next time I have a taste for pizza this place will be at the top of my list.

We ordered a large pizza for delivery over TWO HOURS AGO and still haven’t gotten it. After the first hour of wait, my husband called and was told that they made the pizza but it was cold just sitting on their counter due to dispatch issues. They said they’d make another one and deliver it but it’s been another hour now and nothing… We’re going to get a frozen pizza from HT and never order here again.

Food is very good. Garlic knots rock. Pizza is very good — but sometimes the Paisano’s supreme toppings taste like they’ve been in the fridge for a little too long, which is why I didn’t give them five stars. Cheese fries and hamburger is really good. Pasta tastes a little light for my tastes, but it’s still pretty good. Overall, the food is better here than most Italian takeouts, but not the best.

Wow! What can I say, I had never had pizza, pasta, and service as bad as Paisano’s.
First time ordering pizza from them. I was looking for a New York Style pizza place and that’s what they were selling to me. When the pizza and pasta came, right away, I was angry because I felt cheated. They gave me something that looked like Dominos claiming that it is New York Style pizza. Anyways, I was really hungry, so I took bite of the pizza and pasta, and it was so salty and greasy, I had to call and complain. They offered to refund me my money and they would follow up with me the next day. That never happened. When I called back a couple weeks later, they accused me of trying to get a free meal and they will give me a refund and will never take an order from me again. I told them that’s fine, but check the previous call because I told them to come get the food because it was too salty and greasy. Unfortunately, it was a horrible experience and I have no plans on ordering from them.
Seriously, save your money and order from somewhere else. Sadly, even Dominos is better!

So I just order the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken for delivery. I must admit the delivery was prompt even though the guy on the phone said it would take thirty five minutes, they got to my place in less. Well when I opened the bag and pulled the container out I knew right there and then that this wasn’t going to be good. It looked more like a cream soup with noodles! That’s how much cream sauce was in this it was drowning in sauce, and then it tasted completely bland. No flavor at all not even the chicken had any flavor to it. I can’t believe I spent $ 13 and change on this dish! If you don’t know by now don’t waste your money here!

This is a great place, the delivery is always fast and the pizza is pretty good. The calzone was amazing for a little hole-​in-​the-​wall. But that is usually the case, give them a try they beat the usual suspects (papa/​dominos).

Ordered from my room at the Americana Hotel and had it delivered. It arrived quickly, hot and delicious!
Plain cheese pizza was so good I ate too much.
Though the garlic knots were a little under seasoned and a bit dry.
Would definitely order pizza again but probably skip the knots.

I used to have a saying: I’ve never met a pizza I didn’t like. Paisano’s Pizza has really tested this for me. I’ve seen their delivery cars with the logo on top and their bus stop advertisements for a while now. After ordering Domino’s one too many times, I decided to try Paisano’s.
Unable to find the menu that they stuffed into my mailbox a month ago, I looked online to find their menu. I ordered a standard cheese pizza and cheesy breadsticks. The guy on the phone sounded a little confused when I asked for the breadsticks, but took my order anyway.
Delivery was fast, but the food was already cold by the time I received it. My pizza crust was hard and the cheese was rubbery. The sauce was unnecessarily sweet and the crust was too thin (but it tasted like it wasn’t meant to be a thin crust pizza and someone just messed up somehow). How you mess up a cheese pizza is beyond me, but they managed to do this. I would’ve been better off getting a Red Baron from the grocery store. At least then I’d know that the pizza would be hot and actually mildly resemble the taste of actual pizza.
What really rustled my jimmies was my order of «cheesy breadsticks.» I open the Styrofoam container, hoping to relieve myself of the awful pizza. But what I found was even worse (I didn’t think that was possible). It was a quarter of a baguette, cut in half, and topped with Parmesan cheese. They didn’t even toast it. I was appalled. Tentatively, I bit into it, hoping that it couldn’t taste worse than it looked. Wrong again. The baguette was stale. It was so disgusting, I couldn’t even finish it.
I can’t believe this place has such high ratings on Unilocal.Maybe I just had a bad experience here, but I know that one bad experience has turned me away from Paisano’s for life. There are so many better places to go (at better prices, too!), so please don’t waste your money here.

Last night, we picked up a pizza and some garlic knots from Paisano’s.
We got a Big Paisano’s Pizza, hold the ham and meatballs… wanting to balance the meat toppings with the veggie toppings. So it had pepperoni, italian sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. The crust was well done, the cheese was gooey and plentiful, and toppings were quality. The thing that really needs work is their sauce. The pizza sauce was a little on the bland side because it lacked the hearty flavor that I enjoy in my pizzas.
The garlic knots were perfect little clusters of baked dough that are brushed with garlic butter/​oil and sprinkled with parmesan cheese. As a serious garlic lover, I would have appreciated a more distinct garlic taste with a touch more parmesan and maybe a sprinkle of Italian herbs.
I saw that they serve subs and pasta there… not sure if I’d stray too far away from the pizza at this joint but it’s nice to keep in mind at those times where you can’t decide what to eat and just want quick delivery.
So getting there, I almost turned into the parking garage for Harris Teeter but Paisano’s is actually located above ground near the FedEx and Massage Envy.
Oh and this location is for takeout and delivery… there’s only one tiny table in there that’s good for waiting on your order or devouring a slice because you just can’t resist!
