Twenty minute wait for corn 4÷27÷1610:10 am… I know it’s early but if you’re open, you’re open. Fast food? And they gave me the wrong pieces

*Disclaimer: I’ve been coming to this Popeyes for decades, and it has always served hot, fresh, food and relatively good service. Now that that’s out of the way… Good Afternoon Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, …Yoon Goon here; #Yuuuuuuge fan and contributing patron of yours. I love what you’ve done with chicken. While other places attempt to sell us chicken raised in the #BALCO era, you keep pushing to make chicken great… again. …which is why I’m so disappointed today. …I…I just wanted to get my favorite meal(Sorry Buffalo Wild Wings, I lied. I hate that you had to find out this way. I know you thought we had some-thing special… you still mean something to me… but sorry BDubs you not the one for me…) to uplift my spirits. Being that I was involved in a life threatening accident not too long ago that subsequently left me disabled and financially feeling the burn, I specifically googled Popeyes and saw the $ 5 Big Box… …and in that moment… I knew you cared about me. You loved me. Our relationship was of mutual emotions. …when I walked into my local location… I noticed the strangeness of customers walking out empty handed and disappointed. I assumed KFC called them and told them they needed to «Come home… NOW!». As I put in my order… the cashier said«I’m sorry, we don’t have the $ 5 Big Box #Today.»…Hmmm So I pointed at the large LED lit menu saying«$ 5 Big Box» and said, «but it’s right there… literally in bright flashing lights.» «I’m sorry, we don’t have the $ 5 Big Box #Today.» I didn’t inquire on if they had it yesterday, or have it tomorrow… I was too distraught at the fact that they didn’t have that deal… #Today. So I asked if they had 3-piece spicy chicken strips? «Yes.» …I asked if they had fries? «Yes.» …I asked if the food came in a box? «Yes.» At this point I became enthralled in this mystery. Maybe the $ 5 Big Box isn’t the $ 5 Big Box if the box doesn’t say«$ 5 Big Box»…like Superman with/without his glasses? But I couldn’t investigate further because it was time to pay… and…there would’ve been nothing more embarrassingly stereotypical than an African, non working man, arguing the merits of the price of fried chicken. So I, laughing(but dismayed inside), handed over my credit card while staring directly at what I wanted in the bright lights… realizing today wasn’t the day that #Jesus would take the wheel. Now, I know paying $ 2.50 more for something that strangely resembles something else isn’t much, but as a non 0.01%‘er every penny counts. Especially when those pennies count up to paying 50% more. …I just hope, sincerely, that that additional %50 goes towards investigating #Today’s mysterious disappearance of the $ 5 Big Box. Please… find it and bring it home… and let’s make chicken great… again. With Love and Concern, Yoon Goon P. S. — I took extra hot sauces, as consolation, to keep in my bag… cause…you know… that’s what we do. #AmIRightHRC?

So I live in fairlington villages and visit this Popeyes frequently. I would like to say that Sesar is the friendliest person that I have ever met. He is always nice. Quick to explain pricing or coupons and I never feel rushed or unappreciated as you can often feel sometimes in drive thrus. Thank you Sesar for always going over and above. I blame my weight gain on you. lol.

Parking lot can be a little tight during lunch, generally the service is fairly good. The food is what you’d expect but the«spicy» chicken is the mildest spicy chicken I’ve ever had, causing me to always have to ask for hot sauce. The dining room is always clean with ample seating.

Pretty average. No empty but not crowded. Not super clean but not pretty dirty. The staffs are nice and a free parking lot around the store. Great location on busy King street. Close to shopping spots.

I have been going to this Popeyes for over 30 years now, and I dropped in, last night, and things there are great. The store is completely remodeled and the food is delicious. We had both the spicy and mild chicken, which were so mouth-watering! The spices really make Popeyes chicken ‘POP!’, too! The customer service was outstanding, as well, as Nadia, the store manager, has her staff working to ensure that everyone has a great experience there. I’ve read the past comments regarding Popeyes, but I’d say that things in Nadia’s store are doing awesome! Please drop by for a great meal when you get the chance!

They remodeled the inside so it’ll look more up to date. Otherwise, the service and food quality are exactly the same. I still get sad looking pieces of chicken. Oh well, it’s close to my home. I just wish getting out of their parking lot wasn’t as scary as it is, with King St. traffic speeding past.

The chicken is good, but 50% of the time your order will be wrong. Parking lot is small and a mess to get in and out of during lunch/dinner times

This Popeye’s location is one of the only places in this area that has fast lunch service. This goes a long way for work lunch crowd that does not have a lot of time to get away for lunch.

I have been going to this Popeye’s ever since I was little, and although the customer service has gone down, the food and ‘monthly specials’ are always great(in the fast food sense). The most recent time that I visited Popeyes was a couple days ago. When I walked in there was no line, but as I have experienced before, the waits can become long from time to time. I ordered the Rippin Chicken which was the special. Popeyes always has great specials that come and go, but my favorites would have to be the Dippin Chicken and the Rippin Chicken. The two specials are basically the same thing except one you have to rip off and the other are mini chicken strips. The Rippin Chicken comes with a side, a biscuit, and a drink. Popeyes has the biggest drinks so you don’t have to keep getting up to refill it. My side was their famous Cajun fries and I got the ranch dipping sauce. As I sat down, it wasn’t long before I started ripping it up! The smooth ranch complemented the crisp strip of chicken. The chicken was great. It had the uniqueness of the Cajun style, but the same juicy tenderness that is known and loved by all. The biscuits at Popeyes are probably some of the best biscuits around. They just have that soft and buttery taste that satisfy you’re taste buds. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the fries. The Cajun fries are what some would say define Popeyes and their Cajun background. The many herbs and spices on the fries really show as they create the perfect flavor that represents Louisiana and their Cajun roots. And the fries that I ate did not disappoint! The only reason that this restaurant did not receive a five star from me is because sometimes the service is off. But other than than that, I highly recommend this Popeyes.

Run of the mill Popeyes. Good chicken, great sides, accepts coupons. Though as Donald noted, I do wish that the chicken was spicier.

So it’s been a long time since I last visited Popeyes. I ordered the chicken spicy, but what I got was anything but. I’ve had Popeye’s in NOLA where it was born, and the chicken there had a serious kick to it. No such luck at this location. Seriously when you order your chicken«spicy» and all you get is bland… MAJORLETDOWN.
