I have been here twice. I absolutely love it. It is well worth the money and I have always received excellent customer service and food. I will be coming back soon and I highly recommend it. Also the mojo broth is the best!!! And the $ 5 plate of cheesecake and fruit!

Perfect spot of a romantic dinner. Most of the restaurant is designed to give people an intimate area for privacy. Food is great. So many options. l and you must have the chocolate fondue. This is on the pricey side, so be warned.

Went with my brother, did the Arlington big night out. The food was great specifically the lobster, we did the mojo style cooking with the citrus which was awesome. Idk if it’s usually a 2& half hour process to eat here, but everything was great but our server.

The waiter was the best thing about this meal. He was very knowledgeable with the items. My husband and I went for dessert only and as a chocolate lover I can honestly say I could have had better chocolate at home. It was pricy, but it’s expected. You’re obviously paying for the enviroment. I’d go back to try the main course if I had an extra hundred bucks to blow to give a more well rounded review.

Melting pot is a fun and delicious experience for a special night! We start with the house salad and house dressing(great creamy dressing) and the Wisconsin wedge. Both fresh and tasty, with the right amount of kick from the cheese and dressing. Next we have the full dinner fondue with the Mojo broth. ALWAYS get the mojo; we’ve had the others but this is the best. It’s a light heavenly and aromatic blend of fresh garlic, herbs, and citrus that is SO good, I ask for a spoon to sip on some broth at the end. Don’t judge. It’s the best broth I’ve ever had. The best part is that they prepare it at your table, from the fresh squeeze of orange and lemon to the fresh minced garlic. To go with the broth, we like the duck, which is very well marinated, the shrimp, which always has the perfect texture, the filet mignon, chicken, pork medallions, and of course, lobster. Don’t skip out on the lobster. It really completes the meal and is worth the extra charge. And yes, eat all your vegetables! The broccoli and mushrooms that they provide soak up the broth well and is a delicious compliment to your meal. The variety of sauces(curry, sweet chili, butter, blue cheese, teriyaki, etc.) you get is also a plus, making each bite an adventure with endless options. As for drinks, their cocktails are good. Some better than other, but there is one that is the holy grail of all drinks. The YINANDYANG martini(capitalized for effect) is a frosty gift from chocolate heaven. I used to hate chocolate but this has brought me to the dark side. You can have it pre meal, during meal, after meal, whenever. The cheese and chocolate fondue is also divine and worth a stop there all on its own. They give you a great selection of treats to dip and it’s very filling. We come in for either dinner or dessert, because it’s too much for both. The only possible downside can be the service. It’s inconsistent. You have to make a reservation in order for you to not end up at a strange corner table or in the front by the bar. This place is all about atmosphere, and your seating could dictate all of that. It shouldn’t. Let them know if it’s a special occasion so you can get the appropriate intimate booth and not be near the larger open tables. The last two times we went, our servers were stressed and rushed. The poor guys were sweating from head to toe and given the style of the restaurant, they have to give you a lot of introductions and instructions on food prep so you don’t die and I thought they were going to collapse from reciting it all. They did their best but perhaps management could step in and give them a break. Though this sucks and is very 3/5, everything else is always good and we sometimes get excellent service and thus, they still get 5 stars. The austin location is better, honestly. Overall, this isn’t your typical cheese and meat plate fondue place. And it definitely isn’t like an Asian hot pot place either. They have a specific concept and they do it well. GREAT for dates and special occasions with close friends. I stand by melting pot.

Be still, my heart. I have been to both Simply Fondue and The Melting Pot several times each. I like them both. However, I prefer The Melting Pot. It’s truly a fab place to come on a date. The setting is intimate and upscale. Each seat is comfy and romantic. The service is consistently suburb. Each time we come we get the full package. I enjoy the salad dressing so much I bought a bottle. Each course is plentiful and delish. The dark chocolate is my fave with the dessert course. This is well worth the money for the time and experience, as well as the food being quite good.

Love going here! Delicious food, entertaining dinner. Let me take you through my most recent experience. I’ve been talking about wanting to go back to melting pot for awhile now. It’s not just dinner, it’s also entertainment. So, I got on to their website to look around and make a reservation. I found that they had specials for the 4 course meal on Friday nights. Definitely check it out, it saved us about $ 35 overall. They had a promotion for the 4 course dinner for $ 69/couple when it is usually $ 99 and then you also received 20% off a bottle of wine. They did have the option to do some add ons, so just for kicks I added on a picture and Melting Pot frame. Making reservations online was very easy and I had many options to choose from for when I wanted to eat, even though it was a Friday night. When we arrived, we were seated promptly. The service was pretty good although she definitely interacted more like a ‘robot’ in repetitive speech. Also, she wasn’t very familiar with the special on the website and had to go ask a manager about it. What we ended up getting for a main entrée was a little different than what was advertised on the website. They advertised shrimp, chicken, and steak. We received pork, steak, and chicken. It was fine for us but someone else may have wanted the seafood option. For the cheese, we went with the spinach artichoke. It had a very strong garlic flavor but was still very good. I would have asked for extra vegetables to use with the cheese, but the server didn’t come back very often during the cheese course. For the salad, we ordered a house salad and Cesar salad. The salad portion sizes were smaller than they used to be from what I remember, but it is still a ton of food! The Cesar was only alright. The man entrees were very good, and served raw, you cook them in the fondue pot on the table. You really can’t mess them up, but the sauces that they serve with them are neat. I have been a fan of melting pot for about 10 years now and as far as I remember, they always serve the same sauce. It is good, but it would be nice to see them switch it up, or add a new one every once and awhile. We finished up with a bananas foster dessert which was delicious! They were very good about asking us if we wanted any extra dippers for the dessert. Overall, it’s an expensive meal, but you leave full, with an experience, and satisfied!

I’ve been here multiple times and I will be back. That said, the food isn’t great. To begin at the beginning, you’re seated at tables that house 2 – 6 people and every table has at least one burner to cook the fondues. They will drive you to the 4-course meal and unless you insist on something less, that’s what you’ll get. I need to learn to just get the cheese and chocolate courses. The cheese course is excellent and I prefer the alpine(though the cheddar is good too). You get carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and lots of breads). I have had the bread delivered hard & stale before: if that happens, ask your server and they’ll replace it with fresh bread. The next two courses are salad(yes, it’s after the cheese) and an entrée course where you cook your own vegetables in a broth. As a vegetarian, I always get the Good Earth Vegetarian and my preferred cooking style is the coq au vin(a tasty red wine with mushrooms in it). The nice thing about the Good Earth is that you get not only vegetables but things like tofu, ravioli, and saccheti. If you do get this course, don’t eat all the items you’re given, because you’ll be full before the dessert. My favorite part of the entrée course is actually the sauces they give you. There are 6 of them and my favorite is the horseradish cocktail sauce. For dessert, you get strawberries, pineapple, banana, and a whole lot of other items to dip into the chocolate. My advice? Stay away from the more interesting chocolates(though the bourbon pecan is good) and stick to dark chocolate. It’s simple but good and it goes well with all the items you’re given. It does take a while to eat here(plan on 2 – 3 hours), the salad & entrees are forgettable, and it’s expensive(though not if you consider you’re also getting performance art with a meal). If you stick to the cheese & chocolate and tell the server you’re in a hurry, then you’ll be pleased.

My visit was on New Year’s Eve, so my experience is based on this special event, and not a normal dinner experience. Although our reservation was at 11PM everyone tried to be up-beat and happy to be there. The Manager was VERY friendly, helpful, and involved. He helped make this a three star instead of 2 ½. This was 5 course meal served as a per couple package. They provided a champagne toast and a hat and horn. The first course was one mushroom with crab — each(one mushroom for each of us). It was ok. A bit dry, but OK if you like mushrooms(which I do). I wanted more. Next was the cheese course with breads, fruit, and veggies to dip in the cheese. It was good and filling. Each couple choose a cheese dip. Each was good. We could have stopped with this course. A salad followed. None of us was impressed with the salad; neither great nor bad. The main course was meats and veggies of varying types; lobster, shrimp, beef, chicken, and stuffed pasta, and veggies(such as potatoes, broccoli, carrots) to be cooked in a booth — raw(yes, all of this was raw). The real problem started here. Some type of timer would make the meal SO much better. We were told to cook some of this 1 ½ minutes others 2. The problem was we never got this right. Some of the meat was raw and some over cooked. This meal was the most frustrating and must disappointing. I’m not sure any of us enjoyed this course. And finally the last course was the chocolate. This was good and our favorite(if not this one, it was the cheese course). There was a large variety of sugary sweets to dip in the chocolate — cookies, fruit, cake, marshmallows, RICECRISPY bars(can we say YUMMY)!! The New Year’s Eve meal is more than we could eat, but for a special night it was a fun and different way to spend the evening. This location provided a champagne toast and a group gathering in the bar to share a group count down at mid-night. For a one time event on a special occasion, I would suggest if you are looking for something different. However, it was very expensive(over $ 400 for 4 people), especially for the food we actually had that evening since some of it was under and over cooked(remember we cooked it ourselves). Not sure we will return, but I’m glad we tried it on this special night.

Always good food. When we arrived the table had caked on old food. We asked our waitress(Carrie) to clean off the table. Her attitude was poor after that and continued through the meal. All the secondary staff that kept our sauces and glasses full were great! I did not like that I was required to tip 18% to our waitress… I would have liked to only tip the other staff. After all the different melting pots we have been to in many states. this was the worst attitude from a server we have had.

This place is a fon-DO! Nom nom! Cheese for days, chocolate, full bar. seriously what’s not to love? I’ve been here for the regular dinner service– do the 4 course for sure. It comes with salad, cheese, main, and chocolate courses. The California salad is the best– candied pecans, gorgonzola, and a raspberry vinaigrette. If they have the green goddess cheese– get it! It’s got the green goddess dip they use in the main course– don’t think its that snot– green dressing Kraft makes. it’s heaven. Yes, you have to cook your own meat for for the main course, but it’s fun! Don’t be lazy. I also love that they will bring you extra dipping stuff if you run out or sub meats if you have a preference. They are very accommodating for allergies/diet restrictions so just tell them before you order. But, I really love the ladies night out they do every first Thursday of the month. They always have a discounted 4 course, drink specials, vendors, and giveaways.

Decided to try this place with my daughter because of the groupon online, started out with cheese fondue, it was not good, made out of a beer base, NOTGOOD, they remade it with a vegetable broth, and still NOTGOOD When our waitress brought out all the meats, we cooked it as they said, and I still didn’t think it tasted good, I’m not really a picky eater, so it’s kinda weird to me that this place has great reviews but I feel that I wasted my money, the only thing we enjoyed was dessert, the place also had a really funky smell, not sure it is because of all the raw meat that is being served. I will not be trying this place again.

Been here for date night once because we got s groupon for it. The food was very expensive and portions were not amazing BUT this is a fondue place not an actual dinner restaurant. So if you want to get full this may not be a good choice unless you’re willing to throw down $ 80 – 100. This place is very high class and the selection of fondues were very impressive. The one this I really enjoyed was the starter salad, some reason that was the one thing that took my breathe away! Don’t get me wrong that is by no means taking away from the actual food itself but the meats were okay, especially the tuna that day was not good at all. The cheese was good, there was a few to choose from. To keep things simple, the dessert was the best part(as expected) but really for the price we really should’ve gotten more. The entrée was probably 2⁄5.

Have been to the Melting Pot multiple times and love it(I like Melting Pot better than Simply Fondue because of the sauces :))! I still wish they came up with a garlic mayo like aioli or garlic-herb-butter kind of sauce, as I think it would be delicious with any of the meats. Anyway, while I really like the any fondue places, I was not as excited about my last visit… We went there for the 2 for $ 59 special that they have on Tuesdays and were disappointed in the portion. I thought it was just a special to get people in during the week, but it looks like you’ll get half the meat(3 small pieces of chicken, steak, shrimp each and 3 mini raviolis) and the portions for cheese and chocolate seemed to be smaller as well. So it’s not really a better value… Just smaller portions. In addition, they seem to have taken off the strawberry salad with feta and walnuts(I believe that’s what was all in it) off their menu… But I guess the pear salad wasn’t too bad. What was super disappointing was the chocolate fondue! They seem to have changed their chocolate fondue — it was super runny! It barely stuck to our dippers… We ended up having chocolate leftover(but no dippers), which has NEVER happened to me before!(We were 5, so we had 2 different ones and both were runny). Our server was also busy with other tables and we didn’t see him for a long time. We waited a long time for our entrée after our salads and one of our pots had significantly less broth than usual by the time we finally received our meats and veggies. Lastly, he rang up the check wrong and charged us as if we had eaten the regular portion… and he forgot to provide us with the chocolate covered Strawberries that once receives when being part of the Melting Pot Club(I did not ask for them, as we already had enough trouble with getting things from our waiter). I think it was just a bad day, but I feel like this location can be a hit or miss(on another occasion, we were seated and the hostess didn’t tell any server that we were there. we waited for 30 minutes until we asked someone if we could order a drink etc.)

I would probably live in this restaurant if it wasn’t frowned upon by the staff. The inside is very intimate and romantic. There are two seating areas — one possibility is sitting in the bar at a more traditional table surrounded by televisions but more than likely you will sit in the back of the restaurant in an intimate booth setting. When I bring my wife here we typically start off with a traditional cheese fondue and then each have a salad. However, we do not each order an entrée because it is just too much food for two people. We end up splitting an entrée(usually some surf and turf) and in doing so our stomachs aren’t so painfully full at the end of the meal. It also leaves room for the dessert which is a must here. I have tried a good amount of the desserts and my favorite is just a traditional chocolate fondue with a little peanut butter mixed in. Last time we went and checked in with our Unilocal app we ended up getting a coupon for 6 complimentary chocolate covered strawberries which were out of this world. I can’t wait to go back here for another quality date night!

Awesome service. I recommend getting the four course every time. The cheddar with the temptress beer is amazing. They let you have the rest of the beer to drink which is super cool. I also really enjoy the spinach and artichoke cheese. I normally get the California salad. It’s to die for. I am a vegetarian and their entrée item is to die for. It has tofu, artichokes, two different kinds of ravioli, and other awesome vegetables. I really enjoy the banana foster for dessert. It’s delicious. They stay open after close if you have a last minute reservation, but because of this you should definitely top the server extra fat! I went twice in one week. Well worth it :)

Wonderful place. It was my first time here so I wasn’t totally sure what to expect but needless to say I left very happy! The ambiance is very nice throughout the restaurant and we were seated in the area known as «lovers lane.» This area is a lot more secluded, the lighting is more dim and the booths are very cozy. Score! The manager advised us that you can specifically request this section when making a reservation. For starters we went with the strawberry & feta salad(perfection) it has a light raspberry tasting vinaigrette that just seals the deal. We also got the Pear/Gorgonzala salad which was great also. We chose a combination of meats, pretty much everything on the menu, given that we got 4 meats each, for a total of 8. Both the chicken breast and lemon herb chicken were awesome and my date sweared by the salmon and shrimp. The meats came with potatoes, broccoli & mushrooms as veggies. Now if you’ve never been here before there is a pot in which you cook all of your food in. We put all of the veggies in first and allowed those to cook for the recommended 7 minutes, next we added the meats and last the seafood. The meats only needed to go in from 1.5 min to 2.5 minutes max. You also get a pasta, I tried the ravioli which was really great. There were 8 sauces that ranged from a curry based sauce to a creamy based hollandaise sauce. All were great with both the veggies and meats. Now to my FAVORITE part… DESSERT ok let me calm down :) The«turtle» fondue is the most wonderful delicacy that I’ve had in quite sometime. It is chocolate, caramel and pecans all warmed to perfection. We added on the $ 5 plate which included fruit, cheescake, cream puffs, and a list of other pastries. It was the perfect finish to a wonderful meal. You must try! Pricing was decent. We were fortunate to find a great groupon for 2 that we paid $ 28 for after a 20% discount. We had several glasses of wine dessert and a hot drink after and please note an 18% gratuity is automatically added if you use groupon. Our bill after everything came to about $ 60($ 88 including what we paid for the groupon) which I would say was very well worth it. Definitely great for a romantic dinner, girls night out or there’s even a section that accommodates large groups. They also have great ladies night deals I noticed! Have fun!

We recently went to The Melting Pot for a belated Valentine’s dinner. It’s one of my favorite special occasion restaurants. We went on a Wednesday evening because they have endless fondue at this location. I also dislike the service and experiences I’ve had at the Addison Melting Pot and drive 30 more minutes to come to Arlington. The restaurant was not very busy and when we confirmed with the server we’d be having more than one cheese(my favorite part), she moved us to a table with two burners, so we could have two at a time, a great idea on her part. We first ordered cheddar cheese and bacon & gorgonzola. Cheddar is usually my favorite, but the server made a tiny portion and it was too thick. If we’re getting endless fondue, go ahead and make a big pot of cheese, or at least ask. Last time I was there they made full pots of every cheese I ordered without asking. I really enjoyed the bacon & gorgonzola cheese fondue. The restaurant was also testing pretzel bread along with the regular bread pieces for dipping, and it was amazing! We got one of the premium dippers with meat, but they’ve changed it since last time I went and I only ended up liking one style of meat. I also ask for tortilla chips for dipping because, why not? It was then we learned that they could make my favorite cheese, Wisconsin Trio, even though it is no longer on the menu. They had everything available to make it(just ask!) and the server even checked the recipe to ensure she made it correctly. This time she did ask if we wanted a big pot, which was nice. It was amazing! We were able to adjust the temperature on the burners to our liking when the cheese wasn’t hot enough or started getting too hot. One thing that was odd, the manager walked by our table and immediately went to turn down the burner temperature. We were on our third cheese and knew how the burners were working, so I told her we had it handled and it needed to be hotter because it was just warm. She said it was hot on the sides, to which I told her it was not. This isn’t my first fondue rodeo, lady. Then she came BACK with a fork a few minutes later and started stirring our cheese! I was like, please leave our cheese alone, we’ve got it under control! We skipped salad, because I can get salad anywhere. I elected for the mojo cooking style, which I had always been afraid to try due to its description as a citrus flavored style. The server told me they added extra citrus in at the table, which I declined, so it was more of a spicy, garlic Caribbean flavor, but not too spicy. They also have a new miso cooking style if you want to go crazy. With the endless fondue, you get unlimited chicken breast, shrimp, teriyaki sirloin and wild mushroom saccheti pasta. I asked for extra mushrooms, which were brought, however they were not cleaned and I had to ask for new ones. The server told me they don’t typically clean the mushrooms, which I did not believe because the first batch of mushrooms were perfectly clean, and so were the replacements she brought. The sauces are good, my favorites are the gorgonzola and green goddess, which I put on pretty much everything. Last up, dessert, we choose Chocolate S’mores. Our server did the flambé thing at the table, which is fun. It was excellent, and our server even offered to bring graham crackers for dipping, which is not in the usual selection of dessert dippers. I can usually never finish dessert and she brought a microwave safe cup for the chocolate and to go container for the rest of the dippers! One thing of note, most Melting Pot restaurants usually have a «featured» menu, which has a cheese, dessert, drinks and maybe meats that are not on the regular menu and are for a limited time. It usually changes seasonally — there is no featured menu here and has not been for close to six months, at least. Last thing that was odd — the Glade air fresheners throughout the restaurant. I don’t want to smell artificial flowers while I’m eating. A clean restaurant does not need air fresheners. Management — if you get nothing else from this review, please take my advice and nix the air fresheners. People want to smell the delicious food they’re eating!

Liquuuuiiiiiiiid Gooooooold. Anyone? Okay. This is definitely a date spot. It’s dark and cozy inside. Service is great. Basically you start with a cheese course– dips things in that. Then move to a meat course and sauce and cook things on wee skewers. Then move to the chocolate course and dip fruits, cookies, brownies and rice crispy treats in chocolaty goodness. Then roll yourself and your date out of the place because you are stuffed. We had a couple of the boot knockers to drink last time we visited– I like the mint. The time before that we had too many gummy bear martinis. They stay open late– but I’d recommend a reservation or just popping in for dessert after dinner somewhere else.
