Staff was extremely friendly. They need to clean better, the floors were dirty and bathrooms had leaking water on the floor. This place does not compare to Jason’s deli salad bar. Salad did not taste fresh, at least the salad that already had dressing on it and the rest on the food/soup was very bland. This was my first visit and I will not be returning. I would not recommend this place.

I like the concept of a soup & salad buffet. Their salads were really fresh & tasted great. The soups they offer were good but could use a little bit more flavor & less sodium. They offer pasta & bread options as well! Sweet Tomatoes is definitely better than Souper Salad! I’d recommend it to anyone looking to eat a healthy & delicious meal!

A sold buffet style salad bar. The price is great for what you get. Be sure to try out the mac and cheese.

Fresh, fresh fresh but our favorite is the soups. Always busy on Saturday but the salad bar is stocked with variety of veggies and dressings.

Pricey but good healthy tasting food. Bland food but I’m bias. Salads are the bomb. Pizza is worth waiting for.

Today I went to lunch with my daughter, my sister, and my grandson to Sweet Tomatoes in Arlington. The food was great. I truly enjoyed my meal of soup and salad. If you want a really really enjoyable experience with dining you should come the Sweet Tomatoes. Farm to table fare that’s not to pricey. Think Souper Salad. Enjoy a change!(My mom did yhis review)

If you’re in the mood for a salad this is your jam. Fresh and yummy ingredients in the massive salad bar. The warm item menu is not that wonderful but the soups, oh my, the soups. Also bring warm bread and warm cookies which makes this Michigander a happy girl.

Too much chewing. Not enough substance. They use whole french fries in the clam chowder… WHAT? The chicken noodle soup was very brothy, but good. I remember them as better from Albuquerque. I honestly do not understand the concept of going through the salad bar prior to paying. Also, they have upgraded go-cups near the register that look to be what you’re supposed to pick up. Be warned… these are extra. The salad bar is sparse & missing many typical selections like hard-boiled eggs. The bottom line is that for the price, you can go to the other end of the Highlands & go to Golden Corral… and have way more choices. I try not to compare specific competitors, but it is very hard to understand how this place does any business at all with their very limited selection and ambivalent employees. Finally, I am not certain if they have designed a bottle neck or if the other diners on our visit were inexperienced at walking around other customers… but every time I moved from our booth, at least three people walked into me. Maybe I am strangely magnetic…

I come here maybe 3 – 4 times a year. The soups are always just what I need. They could do a better job with the turnaround of the pizza breads. I always have to wait for them to come out of the oven. The lava cake is my favorite but I don’t always indulge in it when I go because I know I’m capable of eating half the pan. Try the blueberry muffins with cinnamon butter! The tuna pasta is good too.

Corporate!!! Listen up! You use sugar in dishes that don’t need sugar(like Tarragon Tuna and salad dressings) and too much salt in some that require salting. Don’t become FASTFOOD! Most of the rest of your food is bland. There’s a world of herbs out there. What’s happened to you? Some locations are better than others and the Arlington location is not on the«good» list. Runny tasteless Mac ‘n cheese that even kids were leaving on their plates. The Mushroom soup was surprisingly good; but then the Chili was SWEET. Why? As expensive as weekend lunch is now, it should be better. Much Much better! One more thing — your bathrooms here are a minefield. Unacceptable with trash everywhere and no toilet paper at a high volume time of the day. Your customers must be able to wash their hands. They come out and touch your soup ladles, ice cream machines, all forms of push buttons and knobs. Four thumbs down on sanitation.

Veggies for days! Omg its like the mother of all salad bars in this joint. My #1 lunch buddy and I love the salads here cause they have the largest selection of veggies and toppings we’ve ever seen. They always have three special salads at the front that are dressed. I like the Wonton Happiness– romaine, wonton strips, green onion, chicken and a ginger dressing. I get a little scoop of that and then make my own on the rest of the plate. I’m a big soup nazi, and there are always at least six options. I’ve gone in and just eaten soup– the bowls are what I would consider«cup» size. Its easy to devour three servings if you’re ravished. I’ve had some really amazing soups and some super crappy ones too. That why I like that I can taste them and change my mind if it’s gross. They have alot of beverage options– pop, fresh tea, and house made lemonade. There is also a potato and sweet potato bar with all the toppings, fresh cheese bread, pasta station, and large dessert area.

Awesome place for lunch or any meal if you’re vegetarian, trying to be healthy, or just like salads. The veggie bar was clean and fresh. Didn’t see any rotten/spoiled vegetables or even any that were questionable. The soup was tasty and hot– again fresh. Even the staff was friendly. Will be back

I just got ripped off. They raised the prices for dinner at 4. I came in 2 minutes later. They refuse to refund me the difference. Same food should not have increased prices. I used to love this place. You just lost a loyal customer.

Food is good. Huge variety. Everything from full salad bar. six-soup soup bar, baked potatoes, pizza, pasta, a variety of breads(including a wonderful hearty, rich, whole grain bread) and desserts. Great value. Decent interior. HOWEVER, and this is fairly big to me: They did not want to honor the 15% discount coupon they offer right here on Unilocal. The money doesn’t matter. It’s $ 1,50 at dinner, BUT the dishonesty and misleading come-on makes me see red! NO integrity or honor(at least not at the Matlock location). The problem seems to be that their cash registers do not recognize the discount code. Not my fault! Instead of graciously giving the discount manually a many-fauceted argument thus ensued: 1. It must have expired(No expiration date is on the offer.) 2. Our company didn’t make the offer(Hello, it’s in your company’s name.) 3. Further attempt – We didn’t contract with Unilocal. Some coupon company did that. Not us.(Uh, NO! No third party is going to advertise on Unilocal in YOUR name and make a coupon without your permission. That’s not legal.) 4. Coupon says«Sweet Tomatoes in Dallas-Ft Worth area»… Argument: We are not in Dallas OR Ft. Worth. WE are in Arlington. «Nanner nanner boo boo». Sigh … I wonder if Arlington being right between the two cities might be considered to be in the AREA! The sulky teenagers at the helm smirkingly and begrudgingly manually honored the coupon and magnanomously bestowed the discount upon us. I suggested they speak to their managers and either get their computers programmed for this or better yet, cancel the offer with Unilocal. They just looked at me like … I told them I’d never been to a Sweet Tomatoes before, and if the offer was to promote goodwill, their argumentativeness and resistance had WAY counter-acted that. Hence, me ratting them out here. I gave the restaurant a decent star rating in any case, because aside from those juvenile jerks, the product itself is decent and it’s a good value for the momey(even at full price which I recommend the chain stick to!). Good night.

First thing i have to say about this place is that i will never go here for dinner because the price just isn’t worth it. The second thing is that the food is pretty good for a buffet style set up. We received a free 3 pack of cookies because it was our first time visiting the location so i thought that was pretty cool. There were some good choices at the buffet of course there was salad you could make a million different ways but some of the lettuce didn’t look that fresh. The best thing about my experience here was the soup and the cheesy bread. Hands down the best thing they serve is the bbq chicken cheesy bread that was my favorite. The soups were pretty good too especially the clam chowder and the tomato bisque. i tried other soups too but those were the ones that really stood out to me. Sweet tomatoes is a good healthy alternative to ppl looking for a buffet but without all the fatty foods. I will be back again but as i mentioned earlier only for lunch.

The Sweet Tomatoes in Arlington is a good, but not great, version of this restaurant. It has all the bells and whistles of the chain, and it executes them well for the most part. You can eat healthy, and eat a lot, at a good price. I went for lunch and they did a decent job of stocking the stations except for the pizza bread area, which was lacking all the options at times. Overall, it’s a good place to eat.

This is a really nice Sweet Tomatoes location! The best thing about this place is that it doesn’t leave you feeling heavy/sluggish. The salad bar was full of fresh ingredients, the corn bread was soft, the mac & cheese was creamy, and the baked potatoes were on point! It’s $ 11.99 not including a drink but if you use the 15% off deal on here it helps! The soft serve was mediocre though. They replace all there food really often which is probably why everything tasted great! I’d definitely come here again. I was stuffed and satisfied when I left. If you haven’t gone yet, you should give it a try!

By far one of the«nicer» Sweet Tomatoes I’ve been to in a while and I appreciated the Unilocal deal(15% off? um yes!). ST is a safe choice for lunch, although a little pricey. $ 11.99 for the lunch buffet + $ 2 for a drink is definitely a little more than I’d like to pay for a salad bar but the quality is so much better than Souper Salad. The salad bar was a little sparse when we went on a Saturday at 1230, so I’m going to assume they were refilling it. The prepped salads are great & the warm bread selection was awesome. My biggest complaint was the condition of the restrooms… or lack thereof. The women’s restroom was a disaster and it looks like the staff had no desire to clean it. Having worked in fast food, I know the restrooms were the least favored task but they’ve got to get done! if you’re a local, sign up for their coupons, they seem to be worth it!

I don’t know what was going on, but I didn’t particularly love my last visit to Sweet Tomatoes. It cost me over $ 14 for the lunch buffet, two tiny GF muffins, and a soft drink. I know that you’re getting all-you-can-eat food for that price, but I guess I don’t eat enough at lunch to justify $ 14 and some change. I suppose it depends on how hungry you are! I do appreciate Sweet Tomatoes mission to serve food that is 24 hours fresh. They have pretty much every item you could ever want on a salad, and then they have a pizza & pasta bar, a baked potato and rice station, a bakery section, soup, and dessert. Plenty of variety for a light meal, but if you’re eating one of everything it’s not so light anymore. I had a spinach salad with mushrooms, red onion, kidney beans, pickled red beats, radishes, and bleu cheese dressing. I also tried a bit of the«Broccoli Madness with Bacon & Cashews» which was pretty good and labeled as gluten-free. Finally, I had a small helping of the Ratatouille soup — it was nice and hot but I didn’t care for it much overall. OH, and I bought a little package of freshly baked gluten free coconut muffins. They were fresh and gooey and very coconutty. Too sweet for my taste, but it’s nice to have the GF option. I felt like the restaurant was a little messy(floors, tables, and food stations), although I understand that it’s hard to keep buffet stations sparkling clean. The bathroom was messy as well, there wasn’t a hook in the stall to hang my purse, and there was barely any room between the closed door and the toilet. I had trouble juggling my purse and maneuvering my long skirt in there… maybe that’s just me. Overall, I think Sweet Tomatoes has a good thing going. Lots of fresh ingredients and many options. Ice cream and pudding and cookie crumbles for dessert. Tons of veggies and cheeses and dressings and leaves to choose from.
