Cheaper than hair cuttery and better cuts too. The Asian ladies that run it do a pretty good job, some better than others. The ones that work on Sunday seem to do better than the ones on Saturday(insider tip).

I have been to many barber shops in my life and I have finally found one to stick with. Royal Barber Shop is hands down the best in Ashburn and I have been enjoying their services for a year now. The wait is always short, price is reasonable and everyone does a great job. They all greet you when you enter and make you as comfortable as possible. Both my son and I visit regularly and we will never look elsewhere.

Pretty decent. I’m not sure about all the 5-star reviews, but I also don’t understand the 2 star reviews either. I mean, this isn’t an upscale place; it’s a $ 14 haircut. I feel pretty good about the haircut I got: the lady that cut my hair was nice, the price was reasonable($ 14), she appears to have done a good job, etc. There is definitely a communication barrier, but I’ve found that to be the case at three recent barbershops I’ve gone to in the Ashburn area. The place was clean, the people were nice. I don’t really understand the hot towel thing that many barbershops are doing now, but it’s an interesting touch and they do it well. Summary: It’s a nice place, but don’t expect something stunning. This place is not trying to be Roosters or the Old Towne Man Cave, so don’t expect some upscale experience. For basic haircuts, this place is good and at $ 14 it’s a decent value.

Hands down, the best barber in Ashburn. These folks know the difference between a short look, medium look and light trim. Unlike other places where they just go «snap and chop happy». Price is $ 14 which is $ 2-$ 5 cheaper than other places in Ashburn.

Beware, razor hogs and evident communication barrier. If you’re ok with a razor box cut, then this will work for you. If you’re searching for detailed barber, stay away. FYI– all four cutters are Korean women. They are nice, and suitable for some but not those that want more than a razor cut.

Great place. They took us right before close of business, and still did an excellent job without rushing. Haircuts look good, and we were able to check an item of our list on impulse. Very accommodating, friendly atmosphere, would definitely recommend.

Love this place! I don’t go for a specific barber, they are all fine. Really love the hot towel and brief massage at the end of the haircut. Love to watch ESPN when I am getting my hair cut. The magazines aren’t that great(the only time I read Time is when getting a haircut). But that’s fine because I’m so attached to my phone these days, I just play with that. My wife was taking my son to a $ 45 stylist? What? I told her just to take him to this barber, and it was fine.

I walked in on a Sunday an hour before closing and got great service from Andy. Simple hard combover, but I’ve got a crazy double cowlick on the back that tends to throw people off. I waited only about 10 – 15 min since there were three people in front of me. Andy asked me what I wanted, took his time on the sides, trimmed the top, confirming several times(no language issues) the amount I wanted taken off. It was a great value, definitely not like your chain hair places… in a good way. Just moved here and was looking for a good place to get a cut. definitely found my regular barber!

I moved to Ashburn, VA for school and was in need of a haircut badly. I wasn’t expecting much when I came to Royal barber. I just wanted a simple fade and comb over. When I first came in, I was immediately greeted by all the workers. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. I believe Royal is own by an independent Korean owner. I noticed all the hairstylists here were Korean in there 40s. I was seated right away and Mrs. Sarah was my barber. She was very detailed when working on my fade which I liked a lot! She took her time and didn’t rush which was a plus. She finished up my haircut with a straight razor for the edges(which most places doesn’t do) and gave me a hot towel which was very relaxing. 14 $ for the haircut which I think is very fair for the work I received. I will definitely come back here for all of my haircuts from now on.

Having recently moved to Ashburn, I was in the hunt for a a great local barber. I think I found it !!! My simple to cut hair(buzz) is actually pretty easy to mess up as well !! Sun was great in understanding what I wanted, confirmed the requirements and executed the cut to perfection !! The hot neck shave and the hot towel massage was the icing !!! At the exceptional price, I will be back again and again !!

I’ve gone to the Royal Barber for years — solid spot for men and kids. Stylists are friendly and experienced. Prices are very reasonable($ 14 for a standard cut) and include a hot lather straight razor shave for the back of your neck. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for an exceptional haircut, look no further than The Royal Barber Shop. The staff is incredible! The wait is not very long even though it is a very popular place. There is ESPN on the TV to catch up on your sports. Nothing beats the straight razor shave on the neck and around the ears. And then they top it off with a hot towel neck and scalp massage. Outstanding service! P. S. Don’t forget to bring cash to tip your barber!

Ive been going to this place for years. They recently changed over ownership, and my favorite barber(Sun) just so happen to be the person who bought it! She has turned this place around ten fold. From being more friendly(both décor and staff) toadding the warm hot towel service! They actually take the time to cut your hair rather than rushing you off like most barbers. Best kept secret in Broadlands!

Best kept secret in Ashburn. 13 dollars for a haircut, hot lather shave, and eucalyptus hot towel service. I’ve had about 5 different people cut my hair there and they have all done a terrific job. Probably had about 20 haircuts here and I’ve only had to wait for a seat for longer than 10 minutes two times that I can remember. There’s a big DLP T.V. and they usually have something decent on(Sportscenter, CNN, etc.).

Can’t beat the service and value of this place tucked away in Ashburn. Love the non-chain, non corporate, friendly atmosphere. The new owner is a great person with a friendly smile and does a good job with her nice cuts and hot towel service with a little neck massage, at a reasonable price. She’s also very patient with kids and does a good job with my 2 year old’s hair. There’s also a large play area with toys to keep kids dstracted. We keep going back here :)

I took my 5 year old twins this shop. I was nervous as my kids are not receptive to many strangers and don’t particularly enjoy haircuts. We were immediately greeted with smiles and kindness. The 2 barbers made my kids feel very comfortable. I was also nervous as I only wanted a trim for them(due to winter temps). I explained what I wanted and both barbers proceeded. Once complete both boys were cleaned up nice just the way I asked. They both asked to come back to this barber next time. For me this was a great experience. Thanks

You can expect only the best service from this friendly, family-owned barber shop in Ashburn! I know of loyal customers living in Ashburn and also of those living outside of Ashburn who are only happy to make the trip out just to enjoy the complimentary hot towel service/shoulder massage that accompanies their handsome haircut. Got a special request? The barbers are so attentive and accommodating! My sister’s coworker is especially sensitive on one part of his head and requires careful attention there. The head barber/owner always remembers without him needing to remind her and takes care to cut his hair perfectly. They are all about awesome customer service here. Prices are totally reasonable(under $ 15) and if you happen to schedule an appointment or walk-in while one of their specials is going on, then you’ll get an even better deal. Best way to find out about specials is by looking for flyers posted inside the shop or by following them on their Royal Barber Shop Facebook page — probably the most convenient way! There’s actually a summer special going on right now… $ 12 haircut for men during the weekdays from morning to mid-afternoon. Lunchtime trim, anyone? Haha. That’s the other thing, if you’re a walk-ins type of person, your best bet is to walk-in during the week. Weekends are busier, but it’s not impossible to get a chair. If you go here once, you’re likely to become a regular before you know it! I’m always sending all the men in my life here. And, when my nephew gets old enough for me to drive him around without a car seat, I’m taking him here, as well! Love this place!
