I expected more from the «specially «chicken salad place. My first visit and I can’t think of any reason to return
Very bland chicken salad. I got three scoops and expected something special. Unfortunately there was very little variance in the blandness of the salads. This place is the Krystal Hamburger of the chicken salad world. You can buy it in bulk at Sam’s or Walmart.

Very disappointed. Had a sandwich and worked hard to find the chicken salad. It was rather bland… not anything to write home about. I’ve made better at home. Too bad, because I read some interesting articles about this new franchise. The concept is good… nice southern charm, but they need to pay attention to what they are selling… food, not franchises!

My husband and I want for lunch today — was very excited to try this place since I LOVE Chicken salad. We shared the Dill Chicken Salad (their summer special offering) and I have to say I was very disappointed. There was very little dill taste to the salad and no other seasoning — just very bland. Also — the portion of what we received was very small — if it was a scoop of chicken salad on the bread I’d be surprised. The chicken is so shredded it’s almost like paste, I prefer something a bit more chucky. We also opted for two sides and my husband enjoyed the grape salad, however, I didn’t, way too much sauce. Their pasta salad was fine, nothing to really «wow» me to want to try it again. I will say the staff was very polite and the location was clean and cute.

What a great concept! An entire eatery dedicated to tricked out chicken salad! There are about 12 varieties of different flavor combos of chicken salad. You can get it in a sandwich, in a salad or as a trio. I liked the trio. You choose three different chicken salads or side salads to form your trio. They serve it with Lance wheat crackers for scooping and eating. I’ve tried 6 different ones and they are all delicious! It comes down to a matter of preference of flavor combos when selecting. They also offer other types of sandwiches as well as a «cookie of the day»! The interior is beautiful! Sophisticated chic. Order at the counter and they will bring your food. Friendly staff too. Try it, pretty sure you’ll love it.

Had a nice half sandwich and soup lunch today. I chose the jalapeño chicken salad because I love some spice. I thought it was very tasty but wish it was a little spicer the soup wasn’t my favorite but it had nice flavor. I would definitely come again!

I visit frequently. I love a nice chicken salad and none of the ones I have tried from CSC have disappointed so far! The cookies are also delicious.

I’ve been eying this restaurant every time I pull into the Whole Foods parking lot with some curiosity. Thinking, who would open a chicken salad restaurant? Is it a chain restaurant or some local gal? I decided to try it out thinking that the concept must go beyond chicken salad. Nope! It’s mostly just chicken salad in about a dozen versions. I had the trio and they all looked and tasted the pretty much the same and served with some pre-​wrapped Lance crackers. The chicken salad itself is «southern» in that it could be from a can. NO big chucks of roasted chicken mixed with identifiable ingredients, that’s probably not southern. It’s all pulverized to the consistency you’d expect of tuna salad. Asheville is a foody town for the most part and being placed beside Whole Foods was a poor marketing decision. You would perhaps do better beside Food Lion. Sorry…

Good food, nice, informative staff for first timers. They’ll let you try a sample of the chicken salads they offer. I had the Sassy Scotty, definitely worth a return visit. Check em out!

The chicken salad tastes wonderful and the dining room is a lovely place. Fabulous sides to choose from – yummy grape salad and a white choco macadamia cookie thrown in for good measure. Reminds me of Sunday picnics or family reunions where everybody competes to roll out the best food… seeminglyv endless array of options!

Hands down the best customer service experience and some of the most delicious and beautiful food I have ever had! You HAVE to go! Try the broccoli salad and grape salad– goes great with anything! I plan on making this a regular lunch stop from now on!
