Let me tell you guys, I usually NEVER leave reviews. I don’t want the hassle of creating accounts and passwords for multiple sites/services. But for this instance, I will make a special special exception :) AKISUSHIFUSIONLOCATEDIN33 – 06DITMARSBLVASTORIAQUEENSNYC, IS A POORLYRUNESTABLISHMENTWITHNOTONLYAMATEURBUTGROSSLYNEGLIGENTPRACTICESOFPREPARINGFOOD. IFYOUDONOTWANTTOCOMPROMISEYOURQUALITYOFLIFETHEN, DO. NOT. EAT. ATAKISUSHIFUSIONLOCATEDAT33 – 06DITMARSBLVDASTORIAQUEENSNYC. I paid $ 60 for two entrees and an appetizer. The $ 15 I paid for their Crazy Dragon Roll could have fed a rabbit. The $ 24 i paid for the Salmon sashimi over rice was a lazily prepared fiasco with half the container reserved for garnishing, the other half for stale brown rice, and the top for really really thinly sliced salmon. And someone left a staple in the rice. A metal staple. Avoid this place. If I think about it, I was robbed. I paid $ 60 to go through an unpleasant experience. Why would anyone want to pay money to feel displeasure. Don’t give Aki Sushi Fusion your money to experience displeasure. You can get that for free anywhere else. The third dish was an $ 11 vegetable udon. It was a 5 out of 10. But it was $ 11 so I will cut Aki Sushi Fusion some pity slack. Oh wait my girlfriend just told me the vegetables didnt taste washed. Food took 1 hour and 10 minutes to arrive. Sucks. Eat somewhere else. You don’t have to trust me, but you have nothing to lose by heeding this advice. Or maybe everything to gain.

I’ll keep this short. First off, our order was late. Not the end of the world, but annoying. The rice was so dry. Our rolls had a sliver of fish in them, barely enough so they could still call it a «salmon» roll. The gyoza was cold and flavorless. When I called to make a complaint, I was hung up on. Tried calling back from two numbers, no answer. I can safely say this was the worst sushi I’ve ever had, and I’ve stooped pretty low for some low quality grocery sushi before.

I LOVE this sushi restaurant. I order 2 – 3 times a week from here. BUT tonight I was outraged. After waiting almost an hour for my food to arrive I found they delivered the wrong roll. When I called and asked for them to deliver the correct roll. An hour later the correct order shows up and they try to charge me more money. Thank you for making me wait 2 hours for the wrong food and then overcharging me and ruining my plans this evening by making me late for an event. Thank you for making me pay extra to be inconvenienced by your mistake. Your manager needs to learn something about costumer service.

My order of three rolls took over an hour and forty minutes to be delivered. The sushi was not so great and they messed up the order. After that long of a wait I’ll take what I can get. Not ordering again.

I have never eaten inside the restaurant, but I just«finished» the take-out I just ordered from them, and I felt compelled to review based on that alone. This place is AWFUL, in every sense of the word. I ordered their Tofu Teriyaki Dinner Box, and what I received as an embarrassment that was tied to the concept of edible food in name only: the California roll was flavorless, the white rice was dry, the shumai tasted like it was left out of the fridge since Wednesday, and the salad tasted like the lettuce was soaked in bleach. But the piece de la resistance was the tofu teriyaki itself, which was practically inedible. They put the teriyaki sauce on the side, but it was gelatinous and ice-cold. The tofu itself looks like it was fried, and then soaked in an ammonia bath. The end result was this sticky, flavorless coating that looked like a combination of wallpaper paste and decaying flesh found on a corpse in a dumpster. I peeled the coating off(which made me gag), and ate just the tofu itself raw, dipped in my own soy sauce. Of all the stuff that comprised this culinary travesty, the only thing that was edible was the uncounted tofu — and even that was questionable. I will never order from this place again — and the owners should fire their entire kitchen staff for letting this disaster leave the restaurant.

Favorite sushi in Astoria. Service is lightning fast and very nice. Even down to the edamame is delicious. Good dining in and delivery.

Great service. Great sushi. And great prices! We went in for the $ 9.95 dinner special during the weekdays. Comes with three rolls. It was yummy! The atmosphere is cute and you’d think it was a lot pricier from its décor. The waiter was very friendly and I’d definitely return!

Really good sushi! Usually go to Watawa on the same block but thought I’d give this a try. The pricing is better and the sushi is just as good. The atmosphere is lacking by comparison but for a better price why not. Shrimp tempura roll with spicy crab was so good. Would definitely go back.

I really enjoyed the quality of the food & the cleanliness of this place. Great prices to boot. The miso soup was delish… Better than most. I had lunch sushi which includes 5 pcs of sushi & a California roll. I opted for 2 yellowtail, tuna, 2 salmon. I’m a fan of any place that serves sushi that doesn’t have those stringy membrane things that make the sushi difficult to eat. I don’t know if it’s the quality or the way it’s cut that causes that but this place Does it right & the sushi pieces are more«velvety«!

Ordered delivery through seamless with this sushi bar. Although the sushi was good, and the delivery time was speedy, I felt like these rolls were mediocre or just«good». We tried a specialty roll– volcano roll– and once again just«good». When it comes to Astoria– ditmars sushi I’d say give watawa a try over this place.

Just ordered through seamless at 8pm. After over 2 hours it was finally delivered. Called 3 times and each time they said 15 more mins. Finally getting to eat my dinner at 10:17pm. Giving the two stars because 3 of the 5 rolls were very good while the other 2 tasted like they were made 2 hours ago.

Love this place: they are always trying new rolls out for a special, and they really want your business! They’re very friendly and give away a little dessert if you don’t order one(shh). I feel really good going here. Make sure you tip!

Superb pricing; expertly crafted and displayed on our plates… on the two occasions I went with friends, the wait staff was very attentive and professional! Try the jasmine iced tea, it was amazingly refreshing. We ordered the Ditmars, Golden Dragon, and crunchy spicy salmon rolls. All were delicious and let me repeat, the pricing is ridic! It’s clean. They have the al fresco-esque dining. Getting Sushi at any other place in Astoria is dumb. We couldn’t understand why people were eating a couple of store fronts down at a more expensive Sushi restaurant when the quality, quantity, and presentation are all 5 stars here! Seriously, if I didn’t live almost 40 min away I’d be there at least once a month. Did I mention they have $ 3 rolls and $ 10ish specialty rolls[no restrictions]? If I’m craving sushi, the images in my head are of my meals at this restaurant.

Well, I’ve returned to this sushi spot, and I must say I think my first visit was just a one time bad experience. The servers are very attentive, and come over quickly to take your drink orders. As for rolls, I love the crazy dragon and dynamite rolls! Although they’re probably the most unhealthy option, they taste delicious! Their sweetheart roll, and crazy tuna are also really good. Compared with neighboring sushi spots this place is a bit cheaper, and may make the rolls a bit smaller. All and all, solid sushi.

Remember that part of the movie«Christmas Vacation» when the family was all trying to eat the overly cooked turkey? That was me just now trying to chew through the Godzilla roll. I eventually spit it out and gave up with 3 of the 6 pieces left for the trash. From order to delivery was 1hr 45mins. That’s more than is acceptable. Perhaps the Godzilla roll is better in the restaurant, but it’s unlikely I will give them a chance to prove me wrong at this point. I also got a Philly Roll. It was tasty, but hardly any salmon on it. Very poor experience.

This is a good place to get simple, fast, CHEAP, good, sushi. I don’t really get fancy with the rolls I order from here since the simple rolls are $ 3 a piece. I typically order to go and am always pleased. It’s usually pretty empty which concerns me about whether or not it will last. This is a plea for Astorians to keep it open by giving it a chance!!! The staff is always smiley and friendly. I can’t think of a good reason for why this shouldn’t be your weekday got I for a sushi delivery.

We live in the area and we love both eating at the restaurant and ordering in from them, on average about every other week. I really hope this place sticks around for a while! We’re not picky or pretentious, so we’re not gonna say ‘there are a ton of other good and real sushi places to go to’. This place is great, ESPECIALLY for the prices, and their sushi is just as good as everywhere, in my opinion, and their presentation is on par with those places(picture attached). Service is always great, never too crowded or loud, and the sushi is always great and consistent whether we eat in or order for delivery. Highly recommend this place to everyone in the area for good sushi and for REALLYREALLYGOODPRICES!

Got seamless here at 7PM at night — some white fish katsu set with rice and miso soup. Delivery was quick. It was delicious and the portion was so big that I had to finish it for breakfast the next day. Highly recommended!!!

What a great place but not to be confused with Aji located a few blocks away. Service Wasn’t too bad but I didn’t like that I had to grab our servers attention for some more water and I wanted a few more rolls. They have great prices for lunch and the regular menu is great too. The presentation was very nice and I will definitely be coming by again. Food seemed very fresh and my belly & I left very happy.
