I think that the next step will be to build a restaurant right at the corner of 31 and 31 lol. I have been eating here for years now, before the hipe that Unilocal created. and they are still good. For years, whenever I stopped here, I knew just what I am about to get: good food, for redo colors price. Cool spot for street food run by people who don’t take things too seriously, and allow the self to smile and laugh while they make their food. What always make me laugh that after all those years, they still try to make me try their white source lol. I think that ip after trying so many times, I know how it tastes. The chicken on is amazing. The beef can be better. Crows are delicious. And simplicity is everything!

The best Greek food truck. There is always a line. Ordered the Souvalki platter and it did not disappoint. It included Souvalki skewers, salad, pita, Tzatziki and your choice of fries or rice. The meat was so tender and juicy. The flavour of the meat was incredible. Dip the meat in and pita in their Tzatziki and eat it. Order Xtra Tzatziki, you won’t regret it. The best bang for the buck! Love this truck. I think this is open 24 hours.

I can’t believe this place doesn’t have a name! Unless I’m stupid and it does but I didn’t see it on his cart? Anyway — this cart is a must stop! It’s kind of a halal food cart. It has gyros, chicken, and falafel! Well those are the dishes I’ve tired so far lol But there is more. All which are absolutely delicious! I know the guy has been there for many years– which is why I’m a bit confused as to why there is no listing for him on here. Unless– like I said– I’m stupid and didn’t catch the name of his cart lol So he’s on the corner under the train in front of the fish store next to the Chase bank, and if you haven’t tried his stuff– you gotta! I’ve stopped by during the afternoon and very late at night. I don’t know what time he packs up to leave but I know for a fact– he’s there from atleast 2pm– 1am. I stopped tonight and got the chicken over rice platter which was delicious as always. Only 6 bucks and you get a large portion of food! Sometimes he has a line but it was raining tonight– so I got a little lucky hehe He’s a very nice guy too and his cart is super clean. Definitely make a stop here!

Awesome food I am never disappointed when I come. Quality, affordable, and yummy There will likely be a line so be prepared to wait… Which is well worth it! Only 9 $ for a platter The guys are really friendly and let you try different meats if you can’t decide But I highly recommend the souvlaki !!!

Maybe the best street food in Astoria. I have been coming here for years, since the days they had only a small cover and 2 chairs, this is the place that shows you that you do need a fancy restaurant to eat good food. You just need good food, being generous with what you give the customer, and offer something unique. If you want to try something new(again, this is not a restaurant), stop here if you are around 31 and 31.

I love finding new places to eat, but after eating here, I’m reluctant to search for a new Greek spot! This place is the BOMB-diggity. Affordable and delicious! $ 9 Platters! You have the option of souvlaki, chicken souvlaki, pork gyro, chicken gyro, and recently they added a new item on the menu– loukaniko(greek sausage). Platters are served over french fries/rice and served with pita, tzatziki sauce and a salad. This is one of those food trucks that will not make you feel greasy and regretful afterwards!

Eat here Only if you love good food. Eat here Only if you know about good food. There’s plenty of «ok» places in Astoria, this one is better, tastier, more delicious than any and all of them. Sticks, pitas, Greek fries. The BEST!!!

This place is tasty and affordable and deserves its acclaim, both on Unilocal and as a popular local favorite. The chicken platter over fries was just what I’d hoped it would be. The meat was well-seasoned and juicy, yogurt sauce was flavorful and served in a generous portion, pita and fries were good starchy, warm companions to the rest of the box. Next time I’ll ask for feta(it’s extra) and hot sauce(think that might be extra too) as both would really make the meal. My favorite part of the King Souvlaki experience was that they ask if you’d like to add salt and lemon juice to your meat as it comes off the grill(hint: say yes). We got a platter, gyro, and a drink for $ 15 and were pleasantly full. Well-played, Astoria!

This, right here, is my shit. I am in love with this truck, their food and their cooks. The chicken is incredible. The salads are AMAZING. The pita, soft fluffy clouds and their tzatziki is creamy goooodness! I have to have it once a week, ATLEAST. Try it! You’ll be addicted. Fasho.

Score +1 for the Unilocal Community. It’s hard to disagree with the positively glowing reviews of King Souvlaki of Astoria. It has all the hallmarks of a great operation and widespread crowd favorite. The menu is fairly simple with souvlaki, gyros, fresh pita, and french fries. You can order most of these items in combination and top them with usual suspects of feta, red onion, tomato, olive oil, tzatziki, and dry herbs. I went for the souvlaki pita and it was totally delicious. In addition to the the toppings listed above, it also came stuffed with a handful or hand-cut fries. The pita holding it all together had a nice charred exterior, providing a sort of reinforcement for all that was stuffed in it. We also had an order of the Greek fries, which came topped with feta, olive oil, and a dash of dry herbs. The fries were hearty and, most notably, not swimming in a pool of grease. Throw in a couple of drinks and I walked away having spent less than $ 20 and was quite full. There wasn’t a huge crowd when I visited, but it looks like the guys that operate the truck do so rather efficiently. Because I’m not a local, it will likely be quite a while until I’m able to have King Souvlaki again. This doesn’t mean that I won’t be thinking about it and comparing every Greek restaurant to it until we meet again.

Great souvlaki, good french fries. What more you want? This is one of good souvlakis I have ever had. Best fries you could get from the truck. Pretty cheap, too. This is the best hangover food IMHO, yummi and greasy. Just feels right and delicious. People always wait in line. That is a good sign that the business is pretty consistent.

You know just cause he’s a good motorcycle riding buddy, he’s the owner. Or his family is, and they have been doing right since the 80s. 5 stars all around. It’s a food truck that has the best souvlaki anywhere. They always are there till midnight parked at 31st St and 31st Ave in Astoria. They have a very simple easy to read menu on the side of the truck. I always get grilled chicken on a stick. With their huge fries, salad and Tzatziki with pita bread. Everything here tastes soo fresh and packed with soo much flavor. I don’t mind standing and holding my gyro or plate of food next to their truck, that part blanks out. This is fine dining, with out the dining room. Big Shout out to Larry.
